I had a memorable stay at the camp which I had picked out specifically for two reasons - desert stay experience and astrophotography. On both counts, it exceeded my expectations. The camp staff were very friendly, regularly offering pickup and drop service to nearby locations. At my request, the camp manager, Ms Tian Hua, also arranged a day trip to the five lakes, with some dune bashing thrown in. At night, they had bonfire and fireworks too. The camp has a restaurant and a small convenience store for essentials. Would highly recommend this place for a comfortable stay.

The hotel's location is perfect. We booked a family room (with private bathroom) in the Tengger Desert Desert Desert Camp. The room itself boasts a sand view, panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, and treated glass, so outsiders can't see inside. During the day, you can open the curtains to enjoy the breathtaking sandscape. The sand dunes in front of the hotel are stunning, making it convenient for watching both sunset and sunrise. It's quieter than the previous camps and has a better location. The room was also very clean, which is rare in the desert. However, the water quality in the room wasn't very good, perhaps due to the desert. The breakfast was filling but limited in variety. I recommend bringing 5L of water and some snacks. The owner's pick-up was prompt, and the SUV was nearby. Overall, the hotel was a great value.

The hotel is not far from the ancient city of Dingyuanying, opposite to Michelle Ice City, it is very convenient to buy breakfast fruits nearby. The boss is also very enthusiastic.

The tent room does not have a separate bathroom, but there is a restaurant next to the check-in area. You can pick up water, wash your hands, and have an air-conditioned room. It is very convenient. It is a little farther to go to the toilet. It is a five-minute walk. Some people said that the tent was noisy at night. I don't know this. Anyway, the night I stayed was very quiet, and I didn't feel that the wind affected my sleep. The sun was already very bright at five o'clock in the morning, and the light woke me up. By the way, I got up in the middle of the night to see the stars. It was really beautiful. The second night we changed to a sand view room. The sand view room has a separate bathroom. We immediately took a bath (in fact, the desert wind is strong, the northwest is dry, the body is not hot, and there is no sweat on the body). The sand view room is relatively small, air-conditioned, surrounded by glass, open the curtains to view the scenery. I have enough space for two people with my children. There are disposable bath towels and towels, and I didn't expect the bath water in the desert to be so big and hot. Next to us is a cabin. The cabin space is much larger than the sand view room. Visually, 3-4 people can live, and there are sofas and round tables, and there is a sunshade at the door. There is also a RV, I didn't go to see it. The sand view room is quite cost-effective ✨ Talk about the desert meal: I have a lunch and a dinner buffet in addition to breakfast here. Lunch is ordered in the sand view room area. The restaurant tastes good. Don't look at the price alone. It feels expensive, because the weight is quite large. More people eat more cost-effective. In the evening, I ate the barbecue buffet in the tent area. Several staff were very enthusiastic. You can roast yourself or they can help roast. The lamb is delicious and delicious.
