Amazing
GGuest UserTLDR: an amazing stay in general. Perfect for people seeking a getaway
The hotel is located a bit south to the moalboal town center (approx. 10min by tutuk or motorbike) and away from the main road. You’ll need to cross a bridge made of bamboo sticks first to find your entrance. It’s a quiet place where you can only hear the nature and your own thoughts.
I’d highly recommend the restaurant because they offer great food at a reasonable price, although takes some time to serve so order in advance. Kudos to the owners who are almost always present and will come to the table to introduce themselves and make recommendations if needed. Staff are well-trained and very helpful.
You’ll also get the chance to observe some of the wildlife species like birds and lizards while staying there, which is a plus for me.
A 10/10 experience. Don’t miss it if you enjoy some peace and quiet in the nature.
GGuest User1000% recommend. Probably one of the best hostels I have ever stayed in. I booked an extra day when I was there as it was so chill and easy to relax in. Dorm rooms and showers was super clean and comfortable. Every staff member was so lovely and welcoming and easy to talk to and always went out of their way to help you. They also know people by name which is so nice when there is so many guests, just such a family friendly vibe. The pool and swim up bar was a plus. Free tea, coffee and a water dispenser available all day. Thank you for such a pleasant stay and hopefully will come back one day!
Ггость гостьThe guesthouse has a pleasant, green area with gazebos and garden furniture. There's hot water 24/7 thanks to an instant water heater in the bathroom. It's a 5-7 minute walk to the beach, where you can see sardines and turtles. On the way, you can rent a snorkel for 100 pesos, no deposit needed. The guesthouse offers breakfast, but we didn't take it. Just a five-minute walk from the guesthouse (turn left out of the gate) there's a huge food court and many cafes with great prices and variety. There's an ATM at the entrance to the food court, and about a hundred meters up the street (away from the sea) there's a 24-hour money exchange. The guesthouse hosts are welcoming and friendly. We booked a trip to Kawasan Falls and canyoneering in Badian through them (it was 300 pesos more expensive than what's offered on the beach, but we were happy with the organization of the trip).
Unfortunately, there are downsides too. The air conditioning in the room is incredibly noisy – even earplugs don't help; it feels like sleeping in a helicopter. Luckily, it rained on the second night, so we didn't need the AC. There are many animals at the guesthouse, so watch your step! And there were small ants running around in the room.
GGuest UserI can confidently say this is the best hotel in Moalboal, it outperforms other 3-4 star hotels in the area. I know this because I spent my last two nights at another 4-star hotel, which really difference. The location is very good, with restaurants and bars steps away, The prime location puts restaurants and bars within a 5-minute walk, Rooms come fully equipped and impeccably clean, while the staff go above and beyond with their genuinely warm service. As a solo traveler, I particularly appreciated these qualities and would highly recommend this hotel for anyone traveling alone.
JJulietWhen we first got there, we were shocked at how amazing the room was. We already expected a less than satisfying room since its price is low, but it came unexpectedly awesome. You just need to have a vehicle of your own to go around town. About 5-10 minutes drive to amazing foods, bar, coffee, you name it! Will definitely book again if we plan to go back to Moalboal 🥰❤️
GGuest UserVery nice hotel!!! We were there from 30.04 to 5.05. Cozy hotel with polite and attentive staff. It is not very new, but everything is in good condition.
The hotel is located on the 1st line, a restaurant with very tasty food and cocktails right on the shore, which adds to its romance. Here you want to spend time contemplating the water, the sky, and people’s lives. The hotel has a swimming pool, a jacuzzi, a pleasant massage in a gazebo, etc. for an additional fee. Very green, with its own small beach.
We lacked a kettle and cups in the room, but you can buy boiling water in the cafe, which a hotel employee will bring to your room.
About a 30-minute drive away, we recommend visiting a conningere and spending 2 hours by car to swim with a whale shark, and you can swim with turtles and sardines near the hotel yourself or order an instructor.
We had a great time!
GGuest User
GGuest UserThe hotel is basic, but the price is really affordable. The Wi-Fi in the rooms is poor; you have to go outside to get a good signal. There’s no TV. This wasn't an issue for us, though. There's a water cooler with hot and cold water available at all times, as well as coffee and sugar. It has its own beach access. It's a small beach, but it feels almost private :) It's an excellent spot for snorkeling. The coral is beautiful and very close to shore, so you don't have to swim far. You might even spot turtles and sardines. It's a bit far from other cafes, but there's a cafe right on the beach that will gladly cook meat and other dishes for you. We especially liked the pork and beef – just be sure to ask them to make it 'not sweet,' as Filipinos tend to sweeten everything. The phrase 'no sweet' saves the day! Overall, this hotel is great for a short stay.
AAriuna DashievaThe room didn't feel clean or safe. There were a lot of ants and mosquitoes. The water pressure was very weak. The window overlooked the wall of the neighboring building. There's no refrigerator in the room. The mirrors and windows were dirty, and there was dust everywhere. The power outlets were only local type, but they provided two adapters; however, we had many more devices, so we had to charge them one by one.
We booked a family room with three separate beds, but all had different bedding. Instead of blankets, there were just throws. The towels were old. The room had four shampoo packets and three small soaps that didn't lather at all.
The location is a plus, but there was no asphalt at the hotel entrance, leading to many puddles.
The hotel pool was dirty and old, with a lot of small debris floating around, and too much chlorine.
