"Our check in and check out was very smooth. The location is convenient to bus station and mrt. Every day they clean the room. And refill our coffee/tea. They have water refill near the reception area. We had a good sleep after a tiring day. Thank you so much. Highly recommended!"

"Bus stop just in front of the Hotel. Nearby there are many restaurants as well. Since, bus stop access is very important to me, I've repeatedly stayed in this hotel. You can put your luggage in the hotel after checkout then pick it up later while waiting for your departure."

"I've stayed here before (back when it was the Fragrance Hotel - Pearl), and this time I returned for 3 nights with my family and our kid. The online check-in was a fantastic time-saver. Honestly, the staff were the highlight—super friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and had all the essentials. Just a heads-up, there's a tap for drinking water, so no bottled water is provided. My only real issues were with housekeeping. They'd ring early just to hand off towels and bags, but then they wouldn't actually clean the room or empty the bins later. Also, they never refilled the complimentary coffee and tea sachets once, which was a bit disappointing."

"The room was small, but the surroundings were great, and the room hygiene was excellent. We arrived early, and the room they gave us had a very loud air conditioner. They switched us to a room someone had just checked out of, but it had an extremely strong and pungent curry smell. We checked out the next day and moved to a different hotel."

It was the cheapest option I could find, and honestly, it gets the job done. The room was clean, comfortable, and had all the basics I needed. Big plus: my room had a window, which made a huge difference in making the space feel less claustrophobic. Don’t expect luxury — this is purely a functional stay. It’s not a place for lounging or extended stays, but if you just need a safe, air-conditioned room to crash in after a full day out, Hotel 81 delivers. Would definitely consider staying again for a short stopover."

"Second time again in here for 3 nights from 6-9 Oct 2025. The room and bathroom are so clean. Perfect location with the best cheapest price per night. Reception Staff Mr.Lytt is so excellent and perfect. He answered well for all my questions about the location and rule of the way how to ride bicycle. He is so kindness and helpful. "This is really one of the better priced and definitely cleaner capsule hotels in the Bugis area. Right smack in Bussorah street where tourists take the iconic picture with the Sultan Mosque in the background. The cubicle is well sized and just right to keep your valuables like your day backpack and spare clothes inside while still having enough space to stretch out and sit upright (I’m 1.8m) Bed is firm and comfortable and didn’t leave me with a backache like some full serviced hotels do. Pillows were a little flat but they gave two and felt new and comfortable with the quilt. This is also one of the few capsule hotels that provide breakfast. Only that it starts at 8am and is quite a lovely basic spread. If you have to leave early then you’ll miss it. The toilets are very clean, body soap and shampoo smell great with a hint of mint. It is also spacious and one of the better looking ones. For a budget capsule it is VERY GOOD. And there are 5 showers upstairs to share so I haven’t had to queue for any so far. Compared to other reviews of nearby capsule hotels around the same price, this is definitely one of the best ones available. Ps: The nearby mosque plays the prayer at 5am. If you’re a light sleeper bring your ear plugs and you’re gold Few things to improve: To provide a communal iron where the corridor and lockers are. That table is a good height for ironing. The dryer takes 2 hours to wash and dry because they are power saving and there are no other nearby except 10-15mins walk away. The luggage storage area shouldn’t be at the walkway towards the kitchen but opposite the reception where it’s unused and will be more secure as it’s right in front of the reception. Enjoy!"
