"Kidda is okay, big place, many beds but clean. For a youth hostel, I'd recommend it. Haha, there are plenty of places to eat nearby."

The Pod @ Beach Road Boutique Capsule Hotel

8.9/10

The POD @ Beach Road is a smart choice for anyone looking for a clean, budget-friendly stay right in the heart of Singapore. The location is fantastic, with Bugis MRT, Haji Lane, Arab Street, plenty of food options, and many popular attractions all within easy walking distance. The pods are cleaned every day and are comfortable enough for a good night’s sleep after exploring the city. The shared toilets and shower facilities were mostly clean throughout my stay and were maintained regularly. A nice bonus is the cafeteria and co-working/meeting space on the third floor. It’s a pleasant area to have breakfast, enjoy a coffee, catch up on work, or simply relax. If you’re expecting a luxury hotel, this isn’t it. But if you need a comfortable, well-maintained place to stay for a few nights in a central location, The POD offers excellent value for money. It’s ideal for short stays and travellers who plan to spend most of their time out discovering Singapore rather than staying in their room.

Repeat stay. The kind staffs at the front desk is what keeps me coming back. A big thank you to the front desk staff, especially to the female bespectacled staff. I was given an ideal capsule but was not able to have a good rest due to a neighbor constantly on the phone and having her meal on her capsule. Thankfully the staff was aware and tried to persuade her to take it outside at the community area but to no avail. Instead the staff suggested to have my capsule changed and I had an awesome rest throughout my stay thereafter. Grateful to have this staff around. 🥰

Here’s a more polished version with the location highlighted naturally: I had a really great stay at BEAT. 1932 Hostel @ Chinatown and would definitely book here again! The hostel has a modern, minimalist vibe and is very clean. The common areas were well-maintained, and everything felt organized. The staff were also friendly and accommodating, making the whole stay smooth from check-in to check-out. One thing I really appreciated is that breakfast is already included. It’s honestly one of the only budget hostels I’ve stayed at in this price range that offers complimentary breakfast, which is a huge plus if you’re trying to save on travel expenses. They also have their own restaurant on the ground floor, so grabbing a meal is super convenient. The location is honestly one of its biggest strengths. It’s right in the heart of Chinatown, directly across from the famous Sri Maha Mariamman Temple, so you’re surrounded by food stalls, cafés, souvenir shops, and local attractions. There’s also a 7-Eleven just a few steps away, and it’s an easy walk to the MRT and nearby bus stations, making it super convenient to get around Singapore. I also have to mention the Wi-Fi—it was fast and reliable throughout my stay, which was perfect for planning my itinerary and getting some work done. The only downsides for me were that there’s no elevator, so carrying heavy luggage upstairs can be quite a workout, and the bed is on the smaller side. It honestly feels like sleeping inside a little box. 😅 That said, I still slept comfortably because they provide a soft pillow and a cozy duvet, so I still got a good night’s sleep. Overall, I think this hostel offers amazing value for money. Clean, affordable, fast Wi-Fi, free breakfast, an unbeatable location, and friendly staff, it’s hard to ask for more at this price point. I’ll definitely stay here again on my next trip to Singapore and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city! ❤️

The main feature here is some gym equipment (suitable for men), but this gym area faces the street and is quite noisy. The common areas have normal office-height tables and chairs. Most of the residents are from Asia and Africa. The local female staff member with the headscarf is quite reliable. The windows in the mixed dorms on the second floor are all sealed shut. On the third floor, there are doors that can be slightly opened for ventilation. I saw some rooms with windows that could be fully opened, providing a bright atmosphere. Room 305 is occupied by staff; their belongings are inside, and the door is always closed but unlocked. I heard you can cook with an induction hob. I won't comment on the food court downstairs, but Chinese tourists also eat there and use Alipay. Across the street is Zhenxing Fang, where breakfast is available. There's traffic during the day, but it's quiet enough to sleep at night. There's no strange smell in the rooms, but the common areas do have an odor, mainly from the food stalls in the back. The bed space is quite generous. Check-out is at 11 AM, no strict time limits. You can get main meals at the Chinese canteen prices on Delhwi Road. If the lobby is too noisy, you can buy water and sit at the '7 Wonders' store across the street. Remember to test the water temperature before showering. If there's no hot water, switch to another shower stall immediately.

As a Thai person, I found the accommodation clean. The staff at the front desk were good, and the air conditioning was cold. It's very convenient to get around; you can even walk to the Merlion for check-in.

The bunk beds were a bit wobbly, you could feel every movement. It's close to Chinatown, so it gets noisy at night. I'd recommend bringing earplugs and keeping the windows and doors closed. The bathroom and shower stall were quite small.

I had a wonderful stay at The Room @ Bugis Capsule Hotel. The hostel was clean, tidy, and well-maintained throughout my stay. The location is very convenient, with easy access to MRT stations, restaurants, and popular attractions. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always willing to assist guests. A special thanks to Htut, the Burmese staff member, for his excellent service, warm hospitality, and helpful attitude. He made my stay even more comfortable and enjoyable. Great value for money, especially for solo travelers. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Singapore!

The location is superb very accessible to the city and nearby attraction. Rooms a little bit tight for us due to our huge luggages but its decent enough during our stay. The agent responds to our query and requests promptly. Will definitely comeback.

Just wrapped up a stay at D'Nova Hotel in Geylang, and honestly, it delivered more than I expected for a budget option. The bed was comfy, the aircon kept up with Singapore's heat, and there was a nice, welcoming vibe around the place. Location-wise, you're right in the middle of great local food and easy access to the rest of the city. Clean, practical, and solid value for money. Would book again without hesitation.
