The hotel is new and clean. Although the room is small and there is no breakfast restaurant, the service staff are enthusiastic and friendly. The location is excellent, in the center of Kakunodate, near Samurai House, Hinoki Uchigawa and local specialty restaurants. It was a pleasant stay experience!

Thank you for the warm hospitality of the owner and his wife. Breakfast and dinner are all local seasonal ingredients. You can also experience the farmwork by the way. I hope to visit again in different seasons.

From the moment we walked in the door to the morning we left we were made to feel completely at home and welcomed like old friends. Everything was so beautifully presented and we slept so well. Receiving tickets to the local Onsen was a lovely surprise. If you decide to only do the breakfast plan we highly recommend making reservations for dinner in local restaurants asap after you arrive as they fill up very quickly. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant was attention to detail in presentation and completely delicious 😋. Highly recommended and would definitely love to stay again in a different season to see everything in a different light.

I went there during the cherry blossom season, but there were a lot of cherry trees in front of the hotel, so I could see it from the room, and it was good to be able to take a walk in the morning while looking at the cherry It was a little inconvenient to have to cross the other side of the road to eat bath and rice from the room, but overall it was good.

If you have time to go to Tianze Lake, it is recommended to choose this one. The location is right by the lake. The windows of the lake room are very large. You can see the whole lake view and enter the eye. Don't want the beauty. It is just that the traffic is slightly inconvenient and you need to take the round-the-hu bus at Tamako JR Station to get there, but the beauty of the lake view can offset all the inconvenience. The French cuisine for dinner is very delicious and exquisite.

The room can put up to four floors. The area is still very good. The wet and dry separation. The hot spring is separated by men and women. You can also come to the room at night. The room is also very clean.

Communication with the staff was a bit difficult during check-in. After checking in, I mistakenly took the hotel's cleaning towel and used it as a shower towel. When the staff discovered this, they became furious, banging on the door loudly (I was really scared). Due to the language barrier, despite several explanations and apologies, they were still angry. To complete my trip smoothly, I had to be extremely patient and swallow my anger. Only after my travel companions worked hard to calm them down was I able to rest. I really don't understand, is using the wrong towel really that serious? Guests don't mind using the cleaning towel to shower, so what's the problem? Hotels are a service industry; at the very least, they should make guests comfortable, not create such a commotion that makes you want to leave as soon as possible.
