Hotel is in a rural location only a few miles ftom windernere staff ate always realmy frienfly and so helpful. Its alwayscso clean and food is always excellent. Will definately go back.

Perfect one night stay at the Hotel at the end of October. Staff were wonderfully accommodating to our needs (a foot injury and a 3 year old!) resulting in a fabulous upgrade to one of their pods with a jacuzzi. It's our second stay at the hotel and it's a perfect location at a reasonable price for visiting Cumbria Zoo, Ulverston, the Transport Museum and the main reason for our trip - the Steam Railway and Boat trip to Bowness. Breakfast is awesome and as we were staying on their 'Kids Stay free' £100 a night deals we couldn't have asked for more. We will be back!

Although not the most attractive building from the outside, Newby Bridge is a lovely place to stay. We last visited 10 years ago and were hoping it hadn't lost it's charm. The restaurant and bar eating areas are pleasant places to enjoy the really good food on offer and the bar is old-fashioned and very welcoming. We stayed for 3 nights and with a young puppy and kids it was easier to eat in the hotel each night - the food was excellent and very good gluten-free options. The room was basic but clean and comfortable and well big enough for our family of 4 and boisterous puppy! The pool area is a good addition and lovely to sit in the hot tub after a day out walking. The whole team at the hotel are excellent and give the impression that they genuinely care that their guests enjoy themselves. We would certainly recommend this hotel to couples or families and will definitely visit again.

A short mini break at this hotel was just what we needed. From start to finish the break was superb. Our room (4) was spotlessly clean. We also were pleased that the room was serviced every day which is some that is missing from most hotels nowadays.ALL the staff were friendly, polite and professional. Nothing was too much trouble for them.. they even offered to carry our bags up to the room. 1st class service all round. On Thursday evening we had some friends who live in the area join us for an evening meal. They had not eaten at Newby bridge hotel before. But said they would definitely be back. The quality of the food and service were really impressive. Well done Newby Bridge for being a first class hotel. I would highly recommend.

Just got back from a wonderful two days here. We rented one of the woodland cabins with hot tub and we were really impressed. The staff are very friendly and efficient and we ended up eating at the restaurant both nights because the food was so yummy. We left feeling refreshed and relaxed.

The hotel was amazing. Everyone is so helpful and friendly. The food was delicious and really fast service. The bar was well stocked with plenty to choose from. My room was immaculate fresh and clean. Great location if your needed a base to start exploring the lake District.

Very disappointed with this hotel , the room was quite large & seemed clean , though as dogs are allowed in all the rooms I don’t see how they can be that clean . Bathroom small with a faulty toilet flush , that wasn’t repaired when reported , or the missing light bulbs dealt with . Breakfast was very poor , hardly anything on the continental , apart from a hair in the fruit salad . Second morning there was a coach load in so we had table service , bit of a joke really , poor service . When I pointed out that there was a segment of sausage in my beans , I’m vegetarian & couldn’t be sure it wasn’t meat , so I said I didn’t want it . Wasn’t offered anything else to eat ! Our room was not serviced either & they didn’t know why . Won’t be staying again & don’t recommend at all .

Once again, a lovely warm welcome from Keely & Alex, at the Newby Bridge. Very nice room, hearty breakfast & very helpful staff. Gorgeous weather made our short break, perfect. Thank you again to Team Keely. The good thing about the location of the hotel is that even in the autumn/ winter there is still plenty going on and the nearby walks are magnificent.

Just stayed at the newby for the 9th time this time with all the family and the dogs in the 4 log cabins for nana Auds 85th birthday. Again the staff were all brilliant from start to finish from reception bar and table service a massive thanks to all when Auds room was to high for the stairs no problem moved us straight away with a card and bottle of fizz for the table. The food was great as always and nothing is to much trouble the staff are all so helpful from payment to food to milk to towels to a hug and i love you hahahah. The staff make the hotel and the dogs loved it as they have asked to go back especially Luna so as Arnie said ill be back Champions of England
