Large stately hotel. the hotel also has residences which means less hotel guests and traffic (in a good way). i generally look for hotels with pools and saunas attached and the pool area has was beautiful was outdoor patio with view of alps and lakes. Lockers, robes and slippers provided. i had room #205 which had peekaboo view of lake and mainly a rooftop, I suspect City View rooms would be noisy with busy road in front. book lake view if possible. the front staff was lovely and very helpful. They were very accommodating in trying to sort out my room. I could have been made to move after the 1st night but to their credit - saw it was easier to keep me in the same room. restaurant and bar with outdoor seating looking out towards lake and promenade. Heavenly!

We stayed in the addition called Guest House Rösi and had a suite of 2 rooms, one of which housed the 2 parents and 2 children and the other one which I, as the grandmother, occupied. We were on the 3rd floor and had great views of the neighborhood and a small roof garden. There was a second outside door which we could close and make our 2 rooms into a suite. This was very handy. I enjoyed my privacy, but of course, the other 4 had a more crowded situation. The children took advantage of the pool, and after a long overseas flight, this was a boon. Although the hotel is older, I appreciated the charm and central location. My son was miffed, however, that the first clerk we spoke with did not give him a pass that would have cut our parking lot cost in half. We later found out that it should have been offered.

I didn’t report much hope at the beginning, but I just stayed for one night anyway. The result was a big surprise. The hotel is small, but very clean, and there is also a small elevator. There is a large leisure area, the bathroom design is very reasonable and privacy is emphasized, the location of the hotel is also very good, in short, this price is really good value in Switzerland

Excellent
PPENGThe pictures are all views from the window. See the beautiful scenery of Lake Lucerne. Because it is this, we evaluate 5 stars. The hotel is 4 stars in size and has the same facilities as the domestic express hotel. The room is quite large in Switzerland. The balcony is very nice to see the lake. It takes 8 or 9 minutes to get to the lake. There are more places to eat around, and the bus is still close. Go to the hotel to take the little cable car. The breakfast variety is too small, 30 Swiss francs a person, it is really cheaper, it is the simplest breakfast in the entire Swiss itinerary. The breakfast restaurant can see the lake, it is still good. The overall layout of the hotel is very good, people like it very much, the hotel service is also very good. Specifically, the hotel has a shuttle bus, saying that it can only be sent to the bus station from the hotel, and then take the bus to the train station. The driver actually sent us directly to the train station that day, touching. Lucerne is not big, the hotel location is OK, and it is convenient to go anywhere.
GGuest UserI only stayed for one night as a stopover, but the hotel is very close to the station, and I have already arrived when I got off the bus and crossed the road. There is no air-conditioning in winter, but opening the windows is good enough! The room as a whole is so clean! The staff at the front desk are very kind and answer all questions! And the hotel is 5 miles away from the scenic spots, just walking distance! Moreover, a small supermarket is opposite the hotel, and it only takes a few steps to buy snacks! And there is a D restaurant on the lower floor of the subway station! Overall, it is highly recommended for travelers who want to catch the train the next day.
WWander50017749501The hotel deserves a perfect score! And the staff from Reception to Bolero restaurant a 6 our of 5! The friendly and informative greeting we received at check-in was superb. The bus tickets for Kriens/Pilatus is included for all guests and close by. The receptionist went even as far as walking us to the parking we had reserved (22CHF/day--worth it). We had room number 611 with a bay window on the top floor and it was very comfortable. They thought of everything from coffee machine to all small details a traveler might need. The location is very central!
GGuest UserWe stayed for two nights during our honeymoon trip and this was one of the most enjoyable hotels we stayed at in Switzerland. The location is perfect, quiet quaint street in walking distance to everything you want to see in downtown Lucerne. We had the top floor room which had a wonderful rooftop balcony with a great view of Lucern. The bed was comfortable, the hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and accommodating and the breakfast spread was wonderful. We loved to sit by the window at breakfast and enjoy the view and there was hardly anyone there when breakfast started. The only hiccup was that the steam from a hot shower apparently set the fire alarms for the entire hotel off two mornings in a row. The second morning we were extra careful to circulate air and turn the heat down but it still happened. The staff seemed surprised so they will probably address this. One suggestion would be to have an electric kettle and mugs for tea/instant coffee/cocoa in the room or at least available upon request.
GGuokeliziThe hotel room is large and new, and the decoration is in line with the domestic four-star standard. The front desk service is very good, and the room also comes with 2 bottles of purified water for free, as well as a coffee machine and capsule coffee for free use. The hotel is in a prime location, a 10-minute walk from Lucerne Railway Station and the pier. The room is well soundproofed, and you can't hear people talking in the corridor. In the peak tourist season, it is very cost-effective compared to other hotels in Lucerne. For Chinese tourists, in addition to many Swiss standard sockets, there is also a target socket in the room, and the European standard conversion plug can be used directly, which is very convenient! Traveling in many countries in Europe can be done with one plug...
RRojin JThe Staff was very friendly, one of them was Kevin (I Think), and also two other ladies also on the desk was very helpful in guiding us regarding our travel. We stayed for 3 days and the whole concept of the Hotel was different. We had an infant with us and wanted to change the room we were allotted and they readily agreed and luckily they had one bigger room with king size bed to accommodate them. The breakfast was regular and most importantly the staff being very nice and helpful, which has made an impression on us as this was the first time we traveled to this city. For the amount you pay for this Hotel in Lucerne, it's certainly very cheap for the services you get. It's based on a Theme so most of the rooms have bunker beds so even children would love it. Not much space inside the room or shelves to keep stuff. But then its a budget Hotel. Would stay again if I visit this city again. Its 8 minutes walk from the Station.
GGuest UserIbis Styles Luzern City offers a comfortable and stylish stay with modern, clean rooms catering well to business and leisure travellers. Its central location makes it convenient for exploring the city, with key attractions just a short walk away. One of the highlights of the stay is the breakfast, which boasts a wide variety of fresh and delicious options to suit every palate, ensuring a great start to the day. The friendly and attentive staff add to the welcoming atmosphere, always ready to assist and make your visit memorable. The hotel delivers great value for money with excellent amenities, a prime location, and an exceptional breakfast.

1 night stay before flight in Zurich.
Easy Walk to old town for the main attractions. Easy walk to train station. Luzern(city view) vibes completely different from the mountain towns of Zermatt & Grindelwald.still prefer God's mountain creation to man made buildings.
DDonnaPGIWe stayed in this hotel as part of a pre cruise with AMA Waterways. The location was excellent as we we able to walk to the center of town in 10 minutes. The staff was courteous and attentive. Breakfast was in the Mekong restaurant in the basement. The service and the food was good. The only complaint was the mildew smell in our room. ( 3303) . It was not just our room as we had other guests of our tour with the same problem. When we said something to the desk, they sent housekeeping up to open the windows to air it out. A temporary fix, as soon as we closed the windows and turned the a/c back on the smell returned . It so bad at night that we had to wash our clothes on the ship as they to absorbed the mildew smell. Lucky we only had a two night stay! Hopefully this is remedied.
We stayed at Galaxy Apartment - or I should say one of the Galaxy apartments for a couple of days. With three people, the falt was a little bit packed to be honest. The bathroom is very small. One of the things which disturbed me the most was the noise at night. People seem to come and go whenever they like and make a lot of noise (scream/shout) in the stairway. I don't like to be woken up at 2am during my vacation. While having TV is not that important, let's note that it was totally impossible to watch any program for more than 5 minutes, because the connection would break down. Additionally, the recent heatwave makes the flat quite hot and stuffy. We had to leave windows open during the night. That was probably for the best because trying to close the shutters was yielding such a noise. I thought they would break. Fortunately, the street was very quiet. Finally, they should provide more information regarding the parking. I think this is quite the minimum. We were really struggling to understand how to get the daily ticket.
