Shangri-La Far Eastern Tainan was a very grand and pleasant hotel. The lobby had a beautiful Christmas tree and they let us check in early. There were 38 floors which was impressive and the room was big and bright. The beds were comfy and the TV had YouTube and Netflix with many other channels. However, there was some dust on the cupboards and the sofa bed needed money to be turned into a bed. There were many food places near the hotel as well. But go to Anping, Garden night market or Da Tung night market need to take taxi. Overall, Shangri-La Far Eastern Tainan was enjoyable for my family.

Hotel is old. Can be seen through the renovations and wall. The room is spacious and clean. Toilet ceiling is a bit too low though not sure why. Very quiet hotel so it gets a bit spooky at night. Location is surrounded around a few ******s. For it's price I can't ask for more, but I don't think I want to stay here again.

Amenities include dryers, shampoo, body soap, towels, toothbrushes and refrigerators. You can stay cheaply and there is a convenience store nearby, which is very satisfying. The bus stop is also right in front of you. If the transfer from Taipei to Tainan is the Shinkansen, you need to move to Tainan Station on the conventional line, but it took about 30 minutes on the conventional line. I would like to take care of you again when I go to Tainan.

A very clean and comfortable small hotel 👍. From the front desk, the elevator entrance to the interior of the room, there are some cute little designs 🎀. It feels as warm as returning home 🥰. There are bicycles available at the front desk on the first floor, making it convenient to travel nearby. Nice location and good service. It’s about 300 meters to the train station. Hotel Tainan is more than 60 years old, the furniture is old and the room is relatively small. The bathroom is small but comes with a bath tub. No hair dryer and no safe in the room. Surprisingly the room key is still old style. The check out time is 11 am. I stayed extra 4 hours from 11 am to 3 pm and I was charged $NT 1130.

Very good location and convenient transportation Counter service is good, breakfast is not bad But the room is small, the equipment is old, there is no bottled water, only the hot water + ice ⋯⋯ The first pot has a strong garlic smell! When checking in 8/20, the service staff first arranged in room B03. When checking in, they found that the air conditioner had been turned on and the remote control was set to 16 degrees, but the air conditioner detection showed that the temperature in the room was 27 degrees. After half an hour of observation, they found that the air conditioner only sent out the normal temperature wind, no cold wind came out. (Photos are attached to this review to view) So the first time I responded to the service staff, I was asked to send someone to the engine room to check the repairs. Later, I waited for another 10 minutes. The second time I reflected to the service staff, the response was ”the machine room is located inside a room, the room is occupied so there is no way to overhaul the air-conditioning outdoor machine”. I asked if I could help change the room. The room staff replied ”Yes”. Then the staff began to tidy up the next room B04. When the service staff is sorting out room B04, I follow the staff into room B04 to check the condition together. The staff knows that I care if the air conditioner is normal, so turn on the air conditioner and ask if I can accept it. I am sure the cold air has started to be delivered. and agreed to change to this room. But the service staff also told me that the faucet on the bathroom sink in Room B04 was inconvenient to use because the fixer fell off. I asked if I could not accept it. I wanted to say that I had already trouble the other party to help me change the room. The faucet was a small matter, so I responded acceptable. Then the staff began to tidy up the B04 room. After about 10 minutes, I changed my room card to room B04 with my friends and colleagues. On the same night, close to 23:50, when I returned to my room, I found that the abnormal low water pressure caused the shower head to have less water and no hot water, and found that the toilet did not contain water, so I reluctantly washed the cold water with lower water pressure.

This is my second time staying at National Cheng Kung University. The location is great, within walking distance to the National Cheng Kung University campus and Tainan Train Station. Guests can enjoy free parking and unlimited entry and exit through license plate recognition, which is very convenient! If you are shopping and dining near the club, you can enjoy a variety of discounts with your room card, which I think is a very considerate service. The room environment is clean and good, and the interior space is large. You can run and jump without any problem. The bed is moderately soft and hard. The sound insulation effect is good and you will not be disturbed when you check in. The complimentary breakfast includes porridge and side dishes, Western-style toast bread, drinks including coffee machine milk, etc. , not high-end but the buffet style meals are not bad. Overall, although it is not a new hotel and has not been renovated, the accommodation quality and experience are great! The only thing that can be improved is that the air conditioning in the room is still a bit too cold even after the temperature is adjusted. It would be better if there is a heating function when going in winter.

we stayed Nov 15-17/22. the male staff [forgot his name] was very professional, helpful, kind, efficient, pleasant, patience, provided lots of info & tips. hotel very secure which required room key to get in & out of elevator, door to your apt floor & your room. we had a clean, stylish and very spacious room but lack of luggage holder. He brought us a long storage cupboard. had to cover the shower drains after shower to prevent insects getting in & sewage smell. we still smelled scant of sewage even drains were covered. convenient to railway station, eateries and especially close by market very busy on weekend with lots of foods etc etc.

After arriving, I need to contact the owner of the hotel to ask him to provide a password. I booked a flower room with a window on it, but the only window is in the toilet. The room is actually almost the same as the photo. The door lock of the room is an electronic lock, but there is no dark lock inside the door. There is also a costume similar to a bathrobe in the room. The small coffee table and the interior decoration are good. The homestay did not mention toothpaste toothbrush but had towels and shampoo and shower gel. My mobile phone is China Telecom. The indoor signal is not good and sometimes there is no signal. You need to use the network provided by the homestay. The speed is ordinary. The mattress is relatively hard. The air conditioning in the room is more obvious than the sound of the water. If you are sensitive to sound, it is not recommended.
