I went to Similan for one night, but I regretted that I didn’t stay a few more nights. The receptionist Aidy was very friendly, and there were free self-service coffee and Thai milk machines nearby. Each of the twin beds was large, there were a lot of swimming pools, and there was a private beach with very few people. , the big slide should not be too silky, I have only slid it dozens of times, I didn’t see a single Chinese in the whole hotel, dinner was also served in the hotel, 🍕It was quite delicious, I played for a while after eating🏓️, I think the shortcoming is the bed The bottom is like a roller, which is a bit wobbly and a bit movable ~ The location of the hotel is a bit inconvenient without a car, but the hotel as a whole can be described in one word: *.

Disappointed by this large and impersonal hotel. The room allocated to us was dark and overlooked a wall with a huge antenna nearby. It took 10 minutes of discussion to get a room with a better view. The staff did not take into account the comments and wishes . In addition, lunch at the restaurant was mediocre (pasty shrimp) and expensive for what we had. The cocktails were average. Only the breakfast deserves a good mention. I will not recommend this hotel despite flattering articles and the price of which is excessive compared to what one has the right to expect.

From the moment you step into the entrance lobby, you are greeted with antique decorations that add a touch of elegance to the surroundings. 3) One of the highlights of this hotel is the Michelin 2022 and 2023 chef who prepares authentic Nonya cuisines. This is a culinary experience not to be missed, and the restaurant is sure to leave your taste buds satisfied. 4) The hotel is surrounded by many amenities and local food options within walking distance. This makes it convenient for guests to explore and indulge in the local flavors. 5) The breakfast at Hotel Gahn Khao Lak is simple yet delicious. It offers a variety of options to suit different preferences, and it's a great way to start your day on a positive note. 6) On a hot day, the hotel's refreshing little pool is a fantastic spot to take a dip and cool off. It provides a relaxing oasis where you can unwind and enjoy the tropical surroundings. 7) The owner and staff of the hotel are incredibly friendly and welcoming. They go above and beyond to ensure that guests have a pleasant stay and are always ready to assist with any queries or requests. Cons: 1) One issue I encountered during my stay was the presence of lizards and flying pests, especially in rooms with balconies. While this may be a common occurrence in tropical settings, it can be unsettling for some guests. 2) The housekeeping service could use some improvement, particularly in terms of towel change and cleaning of used cups. It would be beneficial if these aspects were given more attention to enhance the overall cleanliness of the rooms. Rating: 8.5/10 In conclusion, Hotel Gahn Khao Lak offers a memorable stay with its good location, beautiful ambiance, authentic cuisine, and friendly staff. The room is very spacious. I like a lot of glass. The zones are clearly separated, with every zone separated by a gate if you want to separate them. But if it's not closed, it will penetrate every room. The facilities are very complete. I recommend a good stay.

We spent 10 nights at JW Marriott Khao Lak for our honeymoon and it was absolutely perfect for our needs! An utterly beautiful hotel with clean rooms and facilities and the kindest, most helpful staff I've ever come across in a hotel. Our room was spacious and beautiful, with direct access to the 2.4km pool - this was a great feature and it felt like we had a bit of private pool whilst being able to swim all the way to the main pool. The pool also adds to the feeling that you're in a village community rather than a commercial hotel, as we made friends with our ”neighbours” and would see them from time to time when we were out swimming. The hotel's beach is clean and stunning, the sun beds are thickly padded and comfortable, and we made use of the bodyboarding and kayaking equipment on our stay. The restaurants at the hotel were incredible! The main ones are Ta-Krai (Thai), Sakura (Japanese), and Olive (Italian). Before arriving I was a bit sceptical at how authentic the restaurants would be but the hotel has ensured they've brought in the best chefs who could bring authentic cuisine to Khao Lak. The sushi at Sakura was probably the freshest and tastiest I've ever had (albeit, I've not been to Japan yet, but it's still better than all the London sushi places where we live and even better than Nobu). We loved Olive restaurant too, in particular their Sunset BBQ evening where you're spoilt for choice on meats, seafood, sides, salads, and a full-on Italian cheese and ham bar with really delicious, authentic selections. Chef Enzo there was dishing out cheeses to us and making recommendations what to pair each cheese with and was so helpful (and the cheeses were incredible). We opted for the Breakfast and Dinner package and we're really glad we did as we loved going back to those restaurants over the 10 days. For lunch we'd eat at the hotel cafes, or out at excursions, or at local restaurants adjacent to the hotel, such as Phen's (delicious!). We also bought a spa package at Quan Spa in the hotel and booked in lots of treatments throughout our stay. The spa is beautiful and the massage therapists were excellent; it's a bit pricier than outside the hotel but the spa environment is worth it for that luxe feeling (and still cheaper than in the UK!). Overall, I don't think we found and faults with our stay at JWM and we will definitely come back in the future, perhaps for our anniversaries! And we would highly recommend it to all our family and friends!

Large hotel on a beautiful beach. There are some beach restaurants around the outside, which is very convenient for a lunch snack or dinner. Unfortunately there is nothing else around the hotel, the nearest supermarket is 3 km away. The prices in the hotel are correspondingly higher, although there is a small supermarket for water and snacks. We had booked a villa. Unfortunately, everything was very worn overall (e.g. stains on the walls, dust and sand under the sofa, stained carpet, limescale everywhere in the bathroom). The ones on the beach and by the pool should also be urgently replaced. We were at Kantary 7 years ago and much more emphasis was placed on friendliness and cleanliness. Now you had the feeling of mass processing... We won't be coming back again.

Was booked as a birthday treat. If you like organised activities and timetables then it's for you. On arrival they asked for passports, out to the car to get, then voucher, out to the car to get, then a copy of my credit card. Really was not happy with that and thought it unnecessary as they had details from booking as the room was paid for,it made me very uncomfortable. The main swimming pool was large but had only one place to get in so was a long walk. We ate outside the hotel at one of the many less expensive restaurants. Our view from our room in block 13 overlooked a dilapidated roof of the Thai themed restaurant, didn't compel us to eat there. The room itself was comfortable and clean and we loved the dressing gown, it's our thing. WiFi around the resort was good. Sunset memorable. A great place for families that like a package holiday. Not for us.

Stay in this beautiful resort only if you’re ready to be spoilt by the amazing hospitality of their staff. It’s located in the middle of nowhere, but that doesn’t matter as the resort itself has everything you’ll need. We took the all in package. Rooms are luxurious, very clean, very well kept. The resort itself is very well kept, pool, beach, bar, playroom. Very family friendly. Stayed here twice, both during peak (March) and low peak(June), both occasions felt very different, i personally preferred the peak, however one thing that did not change was the hospitality of their amazing staff! A special shout out to Kwan for professionally handling the tantrum of a hungry 35yr old (me). Great selection of food in their restaurants too. And when you need a laugh, Sit@Aon will crack you up. Will always come back.

This hotel is in Koala North, 35 km from the pier to Similan. The hotel has no Chinese guests except ours, all are white, the pool is very large, and there are few people on the private beach for a few kilometers. Hotel staff will take guests to dance on the beach. The room is large with 70 square meters and the bathroom decoration is a bit old. The restaurant chef is a white man who belongs to Western-style Thai food. The taste is okay, but the serving speed is too slow. Overall very satisfied, suitable for a holiday stay hotel not to go out.

The room is very spacious and has a sofa to sleep in. The only disadvantage is that the shower water flows little and the sewer pipe is clogged. Overall ok according to the price.
