We feel that the staffs are poorly trained when it comes to the hotel facility nor their communication skills. The hotel itself is highly enjoyable especially the hot spring! Everything is brand new and the surroundings are epic! I’m sorry to have to minus one star because of 竹村’s poor reaction to customers’ requests.

I used it late the night before because I had a business from the morning of the next day. It is a very ordinary business hotel. There is no need or no need. However, if you raise the difficulty, there is no outlet on the bedside, so it may be a little inconvenient to charge the smartphone while sleeping. There is a table in the room and there is a small TV so you can charge there but ‥‥. It was inconvenient for me who wanted to put it at hand and charge my smartphone. What I thought was not necessary was breakfast. This time, I was able to stay at a fairly cheap price in the plan with breakfast, but 1200 yen is too high with that quality. If you are worried about what to do with breakfast, I will never recommend it. The meal itself is also rough, but the distance from the next seat is narrow, and there is no partition with acrylic plates, so it is a distance that is concerned in the crowded time zone. It may be a setting that doesn't talk during meals, but the venue is small, so the distance from the next door is too close, and I hesitated to use it. It was good to have a paper cup so that you can bring coffee back to the room. Parking is supposed to use the municipal parking lot next door, but it is more convenient to park on the third floor connected to the deck of the station for those with a lot of luggage.

Our stay at the hotel was great! Being a Marriott Bonvoy member allowed us a nice upgrade for our room. Onsite staff spoke English very well. The room was very orderly and spacious. Also, this Marriott was one of the few hotels I have been to that had the room allergy ready when I told them I was allergic to feathers on the reservation. The free beverages (beer, wine, cocktails, juice, and soda) and hot meals during the membership lounge time were nice. The public bath was very clean and relaxing. The management team went above and beyond! We asked the doorman to arrange a taxi to get to a local restaurant. Instead, he worked with the assistant manager, who told us he would personally drive us to the restaurant (even included a return trip!) The breakfast buffet was excellent and had both American and Japanese fare. I will recommend this hotel to any of my friends or family who visit the area.

The property is very charming and the photos shown are true to actual. Location is a bit far from the station so best to arrange the shuttle bus service or take a cab. Room is neat and cosy and the private onsen is a nice bonus. Breakfast is lovely and the fresh vegetables were amazing however the dinner was a let down as it wasn’t served in the restaurant. Instead we were provided with a voucher for redemption at the bar. The food is just average, beef was not very fresh, and your clothes and hair reek of smell after dinner as they cook the food right at the bar.

However, it is difficult to understand the entrance of the hotel, but I wondered if I should enter from the restaurant. Only standard double rooms are available for dogs. It's pretty narrow. It feels like a stylish business hotel. The bed is comfortable. There is a large dog gauge toilet sheet and a butt wipe. The bathroom and toilet are in the same room, but they are large. I was interested in the toilet. Should I remove the toilet seat when cleaning? The amenities were in a cute cloth bag for two people, but there was no toothbrush in one cloth bag. There are 2 bottles of mineral water in the wine cellar. It's a pity that there is no pot. It would be nice to have a water server that can produce hot water without a pot. There are 2 coin laundry machines. Ice maker, juice and alcohol are sold by themselves. The restaurant is delicious, but the amount of dinner and morning is large, and the contents are covered, so it seems that you will get tired of staying for consecutive nights or using it frequently ... The taste is strong (good compatibility with alcohol) Even for people with small children I was there, but maybe my kids aren't likely to eat it. Dessert also has an adult taste. The restaurant is very cold near the entrance and on the window side and requires a coat. All the staff are kind. It is cheap considering the food and convenience for the price. Especially recommended for those who want to enjoy the whole of Karuizawa and enjoy Spanish cuisine. I want to use it again.

When I checked in, I was surprised to see a woman wearing a Taisho Roman style arrow pattern and hakama. His demeanor is relaxed and truly retro. Impatient people may get irritated. I had a relaxing time for the first time in a while.

I visited again now that the coronavirus pandemic has subsided. The view through the window from the stately room was spectacular during the autumn leaves, but it also has a picturesque feel even in early spring. The interior is spacious and has ample storage, making it ideal for multiple nights (however, please be sure to clean bay windows and other areas that cannot be seen). Dinner (French) in a calm dining room is traditional, with no unusual ingredients. I also felt comfortable and at the right distance from the staff (I am especially grateful to the guide who gave me information about the cherry blossoms in Takato). On the other hand, it's a shame that you have to go outside (2-3 minutes walk) to another facility to soak in the hot springs (which are wonderful and moisturize your skin). The overall atmosphere is profound and calm, and you will forget the passage of time just by strolling through the garden or sitting in the large chair in the room and looking outside.
