Disappointing Experience at Plumeria Maldives My wife and I recently stayed at Plumeria Maldives, and unfortunately, our experience was far from what we expected based on the images and descriptions on Trip.com. 1. Misleading Room View: The photos on Trip.com showed beautiful sea views, which was a major factor in our decision to book this hotel. However, upon arrival, we were given a room with a wall view, which was very disappointing. 2. Poor Communication and Service: We had planned to go scuba diving and informed the hotel staff to notify us when the guide was available. They failed to do so, and the intercom in our room was not working, making it impossible to communicate with the staff efficiently. 3. Inconvenient Transportation: We requested transportation at 8 o'clock, but it was provided an hour late, at 9 o'clock. The hotel staff pressured us to hire a private boat for an exorbitant cost of around 800 USD. 4. Extra Charges: The hotel charges an additional 3.5% on each transaction, which feels like a hidden fee and a way to scam guests. Overall, the service was subpar, and the management was unhelpful and unprofessional. Our stay at Plumeria Maldives was extremely disappointing, and I would not recommend this hotel to others.

We are very glad we ended up booking Plumeria. The whole stay was highly relaxing and pleasant. The staff there were superb, always happy to help. Room we stayed in was a positive surprise, it was much better than expected. Food never let us down, and staff there were also super friendly and efficient. We have to give special thanks to manager Azeers and Naveen, thank you for your great services which definitely made our stay a memorable one! Hope we will be back to Plumeria and see all of you again!

Overall good. Well organized and staff were friendly and well trained, but they charged additional fee for paying with credit card and there is no ATM on the island … This was definitely a down point, but other than this it was a pretty good experience. Also, the AC is not working too great either.

Watching shark feeding for free is shocking. In addition, the hotel has its own speedboat, which makes it easy to get to the island. Everything is close to perfect.

The room we were given stinks. There was a strange smell mixed with the sewer. After snorkeling, we went back to the hotel and had a shower. There was no hot water. I thought there were too many people showering at the same time so there was no hot water. I took a cold shower. There was still no hot water for the shower the next day. It was really bad. There was no basic shower water. The basic equipment was not good. The shower water could not go down. The whole bathroom floor was full of water. When I signed up for the shipwreck activity, I informed in advance that I could not swim. Please help me. When I arrived at the scene, no one cared if I couldn't follow. The black guys all swam to the shipwreck. We didn't dare to go over to the side of the boat. It took a while, and we pulled the boat rope over by ourselves. When we got there, the black guys recorded a 10-second video for us. We couldn't see any fish, only a little boat. The whole process was over in less than 5 minutes. We had just been to the shipwreck for less than 5 minutes when we told me that we wanted to go back. It was over. It was even faster than a visit. I don't recommend this hotel

The overall environment of the hotel is okay, considered relatively good among residential islands. The water around the island is very clear and the snorkeling resources are very good! It is recommended to choose a sea view room on a high floor. The sea view on the second floor assigned to us was much blocked.

I read the hotel on the residential island recommended by Xiaohongshu and booked a sea view room for 1800+/night/3 people (including breakfast). I was initially given a room on the 2nd floor. There are not many restaurants to choose from around, and the food in Maafushi is relatively simple. If you stay for more than two nights, it is recommended to bring some food with you. You can book the return speedboat one day in advance. The one-way fee is 65 knives for adults and 40 knives for children. The hotel also gave the children a whale shark doll before leaving. After playing with it for a few days, I feel that it is quite cost-effective. The round trip fee to the island is 130 knives per person. The room was cleaned every day, and everything else was very good. The most outstanding thing was that I flew back to China at 9:10 pm. Because I arrived at the airport 6 hours early, the hotel actually arranged for someone to wait for me at the airport and took me to the capital of Male.
