Hotels Near New Century Department Store in Tianjin

After some confusion in the beginning with my room, it was finally sorted and I had a great stay in the Deluxe room. The hotel is in a great location, not too far from 5 Avenues. Breakfast was okay. Wished they had more western variety.

This hotel is in a GREAT location for tourists (near heaps of great restaurants and bars - scenic area and Heping Road shopping) or business travellers (I was attending a conference at the Meijiang conference centre) and has really lovely big modern rooms. The downsides - there is only 1 lift for all 10 floors (which are dispersed throughout 24 floors) of the hotel so the wait for the lift can be frustrating, also the reception staff struggled with the fact I had made 2 separate bookings (to separate work from personal travel) for the same room even though it was carefully explained in Chinese and a note should have been recorded against the room - instead it meant my room wasn’t serviced properly on my last full day and also my room keycard was deactivated. The irritations aside, this is the second time I’ve stayed at this hotel and I would stay here again as the rooms really are so nice.

Hotel is very comfortable and clean and located in a nice quiet neighborhood place. Easy access to metro and shopping areas by taxi or a short walk. Customer service was okay, day staff had someone who spoke English . Night staff had only Chinese speaking staff but when we got an issue she sorted our issue using the translate app and made sure we were comfortable. We got complimentary breakfast which was ok,a blend of western and Chinese. Make sure to close your windows at night or noise out on the street will distract your sleep. Highly recommended.

But considering the not-so-expensive price, compared with high-end five-star hotels such as Four Seasons, St. Regis or Ritz, it has a better price-performance ratio. The view from the room is very good, you can look across Tianjin, and the height is enough. Hygiene: The overall is clean and tidy, but when I first entered the room, there was a hair on the bed. It's not that serious, but it's worth it. Facilities: The room area is large enough, and the wet and dry separation is done well. The facilities in the room are about 70% new, and the wooden decoration is slightly peeled off. When we checked in, the drain of the bathtub was damaged and could not be closed and needed major repairs. At that time, I wanted to take a bath again, but the waiter finally solved it with a bathtub cover. The toiletries are self-operated, non-branded, and the fragrance of the shower gel is not very good, and it will be a bit dry after washing. Environment: The external environment is close to the business district, with many shopping malls, a wide range of takeaways, authentic Tianjin snacks and KFC. Takeaway is convenient. In terms of the environment in the hotel, there is almost no executive lounge. When we checked in, it was after noon, because the room was not ready, we proposed to go to the lounge or the executive lounge to rest, but there might be a wedding banquet in the hotel at that time, the lounge was full of chattering people, and there was no executive lounge. In the end, I only took two bottles of Nongfu Spring and was forced to go out and wait for the room to be ready. It may be located in a commercial building, and its lower floors are rented out for hotpot dining, as well as a swimming pool and spa open to the public. Residential guests and outsiders are not well distinguished, and the elevators are mixed. If a high-level guest swipes the room card and presses the floor, other people can press the floor of other rooms at will, which poses a certain security risk. Service: There is no problem with the service attitude of the waiter. Speak politely and politely. We asked the customer service to give suggestions for Tianjin snacks on WeChat, and there were still positive responses. However, we need to strengthen the consideration of customers. For example, if the room is not good, we can actively arrange for guests to sit and rest in the coffee shop. After all, we just got off the train and are hungry. The room facilities should be checked frequently. Don’t wait until the customer is ready to wash and go to bed at night, and the bathtub is broken. In the end, the problem was solved, but the means to appease the guests must be prepared. Like other five-star hotels, when encountering room problems and causing inconvenience to guests, they will propose to change rooms or use methods such as giving small desserts. Clearly this hotel needs more work. If you want to write the welcome card by hand, please be careful 😂, it is obvious that the name is only painted out, and one card can be used multiple times. Such a welcome card can only have the opposite effect 😂, it is not as good as a printed one or not sent. It’s better to use fresher fruit for welcome fruit, so that customers can help you promote it, right?

The hotel's service is very thoughtful. Every employee is very helpful, which makes me feel warm. There is a welcoming pine tree in the lobby. The staff enthusiastically asked me if I came to Tianjin for business or tourism, and recommended fun places, delicious restaurants, parking problems and license plate restrictions. They considered us everywhere! So considerate, give a big thumbs up to the front desk ladies! ! ! Oh, by the way! Fruits were also given when we checked in, because there was a new store event! ! Super value! The apples were super sweet! ! ! When we met the room cleaning aunt in the corridor, she also greeted us. When we entered the room, it was clean and tidy. The newly opened hotel looked very bright, and we lived on the sunny side. It felt great in the morning! ! ! The breakfast on the second day was also delicious. No wonder the hotel business was so good. When we checked in, many rooms were full! Next time I come to Tianjin to find this hotel!

I was very satisfied with everything. The hotel is conveniently located, close to Beian Bridge and Dante Square, facing the Italian style area, with large windows to see the city view, 1.8-meter big bed, very comfortable to sleep on, 3-separated bathroom, easy to use, and a mini bar, providing basic drinking water and small bottles of beverages and coffee drip bags, the service is also good, there is a time-honored fried dough twist on the first floor as a souvenir, no need to run to three places to buy, downstairs there is a crosstalk hall and foot bath bar street, the bar street stops noisy at 11 o'clock, and it will not affect the rest, it's up to you to spend money, I will stay here again when I go to Tianjin next time

Generally the hotel is clean, near subway, and a few stops away from central areas, as well as airport. Staff is mostly courteous and professional. However, we do encounter a loud uncle shouting at us when we get confused and walked my daughter towards the swiming pool men's changing room (not even close though).

The room is quite spacious and quite modern. Cleanliness is tip top and the breakfast offering is also not bad. Directly located in the cultural street so it’s easy to walk around and visit. Staff is also quite friendly and helpful.

The hotel location is amazing, it's located right next to the river, so it's very convenient to go for a walk in the evening and enjoy amazing views from the both sides of the river🌆 The hotel itself is new and super tidy, the interior is very elegant and stylish. Also, it has free underground parking, which is very convenient if you come by car. The hotel staff was very friendly and helped us with all the questions. All the employees we met were super welcoming and spoken English even though we could speak Chinese. The breakfast was really good, there was variety of western pastry, fruits, salad, as well as a good choice of drinks and nice coffee🥐☕️ In overall, we really liked the hotel and would love to come there again👍

My son and I stayed for 1 night and was extremely pleased with the hotel. We had a beautiful view and the room was comfortable and relaxing after a long day of play. The location was fantastic as it was less than 10min walk from the TianJin Eye. Fast food was accessible as KFC and an 7/11 was right around the corner. We will definitely stay here again next time we visit TianJin and highly recommend this hotel to travelers of all types.
