Despite the non stopping rain for days and days, our stay in Amanta Beach was just perfect. Everything is as shown on the photos and written in the description and actually there is much more. Slightly out of the village, just right on the private beach, with a huge garden and a cute swimming pool, you will be offered very tasty breakfasts and dinners.. The rooms and the private gardens have everything you may need. And those stylish decorations! I need to mention also the very lovely staff who make you feel very welcome and still manage to give you the privacy you want in such a place. The spot is not the cheapest, but absolutely worth the value.

En passage pour 3 jours pendant nos vacances en famille, tout était juste parfait, la proximité de la plage, (50m), la piscine à la porte de nos chambres, les espaces de repos avec ses chaises longues, poufs, canapés. La première surprise est la taille de la chambre, décorée avec gout, climatisée, avec sa salle de bain intérieur ET extérieur sur la petite terrasse. La plage de sable fin avec son coin transat et hamac. Et enfin le restaurant, vue sur la mer le matin, bruit des vagues le soir, des repas de qualité, Potage, entrée, plat, dessert, vin. Tout était parfait. Un petit conseil, vous pouvez demander à la réception si besoin de quoi que ce soit, y compris pour les choses à faire dans les alentours, il y a énormément de « bon plan » pas forcement visible ou mis en avant : je pense notamment à la boutique Blue Bird, qui nous vends des souvenirs fait main pour un prix très bas, ou du scuba diving un peu plus loin. Merci encore pour ces 3 jours magnifiques et reposant. Je recommande sans hésiter.

Absolute Paradise. Anne and Tharuka and their gorgeous team have created a truly unforgettable experience. The rooms are a classy and clever fusion of French and Sri Lankan styling, spacious and comfortable, and each one feels like the special suite. Personal courtyards with outdoor showers are an added treat. The bespoke styling continues through reception (with its lily pond, the courtyard. The grounds and garden and the elevated restaurant. Natural material is used to magnificent effect (cinammon stick windows anyone?), and where not available you may find the wing of an old MIG fighter jet as a bar. The friendliness, kindness and super service is on tap without being at all ostentatious. It’s personal, and you feel like their special guest. Then the food. Created by Tharuka it’s inventive, creative and tasty. Each meal a little journey, and each course introduced and explained. Then the beach. Not an afterthought, a wonderful eye rubbing delight. This place is located on an empty expanse of stunning coastline neighbouring a little fishing community. You can see for miles and miles, but only sand, sea, palms and the odd cow. It’s breathtaking and impossible not to relax and soak it all in. Throw in some super friendly pets, utter charm and incredible genuine hospitality and we have reluctantly moved on from an unmissable and unforgettable stay on an already magical family trip.

En un mot waouhh Nous y avons séjourné 3 jours et tout était parfait : le cadre de l'hôtel décoré avec bon goût, la plage immense (seul au monde), le personnel, le restaurant très raffiné, et pour finir un excellent Massage . Le seul point négatif selon notre sentiment est la durée interminable du dîner avec menu unique au top ( 2h30) car le principe est de servir toutes les tables en même temps selon un rythme trop long. Bref je recommande sans hésitation

I fail to understand how people could not fall in love with this beautiful (understatement) hotel. I was skeptical having read some of the bad reviews, but the surprise was all the better!! Indeed it is not a ´resort’ in the sense : you don’t have to queue with 50 people for a tasteless buffet and you don’t have to fight in the early morning for a spot at the pool. What it is: an absolutely charming hotel at the beach. With a private beach (no crowd at all, gorgeous place at the Ocean), you can read on a hamac in the shadow, and meals are delicious and typical and served in the exquisite restaurant. And the room with small private pool and mini garden is so relaxing. Incredible this has been all built from scratch by a couple, respect! Thanks Sakti and team also for the excellent service and kindness. A fantastic place!!!!!

Prachtige accommodatie aan het strand, op zich de perfecte plek om tot rust te komen en van het strand te genieten na een rondreis door Sri Lanka. Het resort is wel vrij geïsoleerd gelegen, er zijn weinig of geen restaurantjes op wandelafstand. Het echte centrum (dat wel gezellig is) is een half uur rijden. Je bent dus wat veroordeeld tot het restaurant van het resort. Dat is zeker niet verkeerd, maar de Franse eigenares tracht er een soort Franse touch aan te geven met veel aandacht voor presentatie en daar betaal je goed / te veel voor. Je kan ‘s avonds ook enkel kiezen voor het viergangendiner (ze deden wel moeite om aan wat te passen voor de kinderen). Conclusie: echt mooi resort - vrij geïsoleerde ligging - prijs/kwaliteit van het eten klopte niet helemaal voor ons: we zijn voor veel lagere prijzen minstens minstens even lekker en authentieker gaan eten op andere plaatsen.

Wir waren mit drei Personen zwei Nächte hier und hatten zwei geräumige und saubere Zimmer mit Klimaanlage. Die Unterkünfte befinden sich in einem großen Garten, der direkt an den wunderschönen Strand grenzt. Leider befinden sich die Unterkünfte alle im hinteren Bereich des Grundstücks, so dass es keinen Meerblick gibt. Generell hatten die Zimmer keinen schönen Ausblick, sondern nur die Sicht in den einen kleinen zugebauten Außenbereich. Auch der Pool ist sehr klein und nicht so schön angelegt. Da hätte man sicherlich mehr daraus machen können. Das Essen war außergewöhnlich. Der Koch ist richtig gut ausgebildet und hat nach eigenen Angaben einige Jahre als Koch in Dubai gearbeitet. Man merkt ihm die Leidenschaft für's Kochen an :) Allerdings waren die einzelnen Portionen recht klein und für unser Empfinden ziemlich teuer. Wir haben an zwei Tagen 180 Euro bezahlt und das ohne besondere Zusatzausgaben. Das Personal war sehr freundlich.

Tout simplement magnifique. Très bon accueil , équipe aux petits soins et à l'écoute Chambres décorées avec goût et spacieuses. Douche extérieure Plage quasi privée au bout du jardin Potager pour le restaurant, massage de qualité, tout est pensé pour un séjour de qualité. Allez y les yeux fermés
