Eneste minus var mangel på takrennenedløp på rom 401 som har ført til vannskade ute på terrasse og delvis inn på gulv gjennom vegg/dør.

Charming hotel in lovely village
Old, charming hotel in a lovely village that is so very much worth a visit. We loved our stay! All the staff were very welcoming and helpful, with special thanks to Fredrik for reaching out to us in advance with late arrival instructions, and for upgrading us to a room with a balcony to enjoy the sunny weather, and for helping us with parking instructions (which is very cheap street parking, very easily managed through EasyPark app). This is an old hotel that has been updated, so set your expectations accordingly. Rooms are very comfortable and clean with approp amenities, but it is the overall setting and charm of the old building and village that is the luxury of a stay here. Would strongly recommend choosing a room with balcony if available.

Dårlig rom til full pris
Vi hadde gledet oss til å komme til dette hotellet, men ble veldig skuffet over rommet. Det lå utenfor hovedbygningen med inngang fra bakgård og parkeringsplass for motorsykler. Det var et lite rom med smal dobbeltseng, ingen garderobe og ingenting å legge kofferten på. Skrivebord og kun en stol som måtte brukes som garderobe. Vi måtte sitte på senga. Tre små vinduer høyt oppe på veggen. De som parkerte utenfor kunne se rett inn. Føltes som et lite kjellerrom. Dette betalte vi over kr 2000 for en natt.

OK hotell, nydelig beliggenhet, dårlig service.
Baren stengte 15 minutter før tiden, virket som personalet var mest opptatt med å avslutte sin vakt. Frokosten var grei, men ikke topp, smøret var varmt og fløt rundt i boksen. Det beste med hotellet er beliggenheten. Vakkert i Tvedestrand. Var ellers upraktisk at vi fikk SMS etter bestilling om at det var umulig å sjekke inn etter kl. 22.

Veldig koselig hotell med hyggelig og hjelpsom vert.
God julebuffet, men frokosten får dessverre ingen stjerner av oss. I tillegg måtte vi innta det lille som var i resepsjonen, da det ikke var åpent om morgenen inn til restauranten og et spisebord.
Vi kommer garantert tilbake, men da uten frokost der.
