My husband and I booked a four night trip for our one year anniversary and we couldn’t have been more pleased. Every single aspect was phenomenal, from the clean and comfortable rooms, to the exceptional dining experience to the adventure park. The staff were amazing. Mid rope course I discovered that I’m terrified of heights ( yeah, I know, alil late) and the guide was so patient and encouraging that I pushed through a full blown anxiety attack. I even did the abseiling and zip lining which was actually AWESOME!! I highly recommend this resort as one of the best and should you and your special person have something to celebrate on a specific night, you must visit the Bergview. The romantic atmosphere was perfect. Not to mention the manager Spha will ensure every dish is impeccable and keep checking in that you are happy. All in all the best trip we’ve had. Even the rain couldn’t keep us down

We had a birthday celebration. Booked for Six Sleeper room and everything was top knot😋we loved it,definately recommend this for anyone wanting to visit and gave fun!

We stayed at Fairways where the mountain view was magnificent and the stay was quiet and relaxing. The units had everything we needed incl washing machine and dryer. Braai (Weber) is provided and the units have a fireplace for the cold nights. Overall pleasurable family experience thanks to the good number of activities provided by the resort. The golf course is in good condition and offers a unique experience for seasoned golfers. For sporty activities, it’s great: tennis, swimming pools (incl jacuzzis), squash court, scenic hiking trails, horse riding, lawn bowls, pool/snooker, putt putt and more. There is also play areas for the younger kids. There is a decent variety of restaurants including one with buffet. The prices are affordable but I’d give the overall food experience a 3/5. There are the odd exceptional dishes though. Definitely a must try!

We needed to escape from camping in bad weather so booked self catering accommodation for one night, at short notice. Drak Gardens fulfilled our needs and surpassed expectations. It remains one of the nicest resorts in the Berg. Unpretentious yet smart enough, resulting in a homely feeling that has endured even as it has modernised over the years.

Groot resort in een prachtige omgeving (midden in de Drakensbergen) met een ruim activiteitenaanbod voor jong en oud. Het complex ligt bij een golfbaan. Je kunt wandelen, fietsen en golven. Er zijn diverse zwembaden, speeltuinen, een spa, beautysalon en massage, Adventure golf, klimwanden, een boomtoppend, BMX parcour enzovoort. Hier kun je je niet vervelen. In het complex zijn er diverse restaurants met een heerlijk, betaalbaar aanbod. Het diner- en ontbijtbuffet zijn fantastisch. Er zijn diverse bars om rustig met open haard of met vertier te borrelen en spelletjes pool, dart of tafeltennis te spelen. Er is ook karaoke!

We had a very nice stay ,the place it’s very beautiful and lovely my family and I really enjoyed every moment of it. The only this that took me out ,we were sitting at the reception ,then a young lady came in with tears rolling on her eyes ,really felt sorry and the guy in the reception didn’t bother to help her out until one of the securities came and took her out .We saw that she was really angry wanted to ask what was the matter cause I could feel her pain .But anyways the place is very very warm and beautiful

Had an enjoyable stay. Lucky enough to catch Eland walking the grounds. good facilities for the kids. lots of activities to do all the time. nice trails for a good hike or walk. complimentary pony rides for kids is a bonus. many restaurants to choose from. friendly staff

My first time at Drakensberg Gardens as part of a group tour. As a solo female traveller, who had booked a hotel room, I was assigned to a self-catering unit on the outskirts of the property. I expressed concerns about my safety, but these were dismissed by the reception staff. I was eventually placed in a hotel room after another chalet I was placed in had bugs on the ceiling and curtain rail. The hotel room I was eventually assigned to, more than 2-hours after check in, was clean and comfortable. However, the bathroom amenities as well as complementary snacks in the room were not replaced daily. And on my last day, only one set of towels were provided. I am grateful for Kulani, who made sure I had a comfortable room the first day and who was very helpful and obliging. Disappointed with the reception staff who were not helpful or accommodating. I am glad I was eventually able to make the most of my short stay and enjoy the unique winter landscape and majestic mountains surrounding the resort.
