Fabulous staff, very personable and professional. A lovely getaway for the time of year, warm cosy rooms with fireplaces everywhere . Food was excellent . Beautiful grounds with nice walks. Good location for exploring Derry city and surrounding areas.

The service was first class and the dinner is the best meal I've ever had anywhere. Breakfast was also excellent. Sean and the team made us feel very welcome and we had a beautiful, relaxing evening in a wonderful property. Ardtara was a real treat for us and we will definitel be back.

This was quite simply a wonderful experience. The staff greeted us with enthusiasm and provided a history of the estate. Our room was magnificent and really homely. Dinner was simply fantastic. Overall a treat. We will definitely be back.

A wonderful overnight stay,wish it had been longer.Food was delicious and top class.Rooms were extremely comfortable.Sean,the manager couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful.A charming hotel with great character.Would definitely recommend

This was an incredible experience. Firstly, the food. We went for the tasting menu with wine pairing. Six years ago we went to MacNean house and regarded that meal as the best we've ever had but that it was a once in a lifetime experience. This meal was up there with it, it was that good. The pacing of the courses was really good, when the staff realised that our wine drinking wasn't keeping pace with the courses, we were given a rest to catch up! The staff are lovely and there is an informal relaxed air. The manager, Sean, gives a great welcome and is always available to help. The room was class, the gas fire is a lovely addition, gives it a real homely air. Cant recommend Ardtara House highly enough, we were still buzzing all the way home!

Everything is done to an exceptional standard but seemed effortless. Our room was gorgeous with a fire to welcome us - just lovely. The bed was really comfortable and everything in the room was perfect! The attention to detail in the lounge and the dining room was super and the meal was outstanding -the best starter, main and dessert I’ve had in a long time. As always the Guinness bread was gorgeous The staff are so lovely - they certainly deliver to a very high level but also remain down to earth. Breakfast, like everything else, was superb.
