Arrived at the hotel after visiting the local vehicle administration office to get my Chinese drivers licence. I required a certificate of residence from the hotel to complete the process. 李艳毅 went out of her way to help me get the document, taking me to the local police station, translating for me and contacting local authorities on my behalf. Thanks to her I was able to successfully get my licence. Hotel is elegant and classy, well furnished rooms and great, helpful staff. Also a good view of the city from the window. Walking distance from main attractions in Ürümqi city.

Cleanliness and location are great, as well as the price. But where this hotel lacks is service. There was a MAJOR hiccup in how front desk handled my situation. I came back at 4am after a night out and lost my room key. The front desk really struggled to find my room number. After about 5 minutes of searching, she found my room and handed me a new key. Except IT WAS THE WRONG ROOM. I walked into a room that had 2 complete strangers asleep in the room. They were startled and I closed the door immediately. Went back downstairs and had to ask the front desk for another key, which the lady searched for another 5 minutes before finally finding my room. Needless to say, this is BAD. You CANNOT give someone’s room key to a stranger. That is an absolute sin in the hospitality industry. I hope they will retrain their staff and learn from this review.

Food choices are limited. But there are many restaurants around. Good location, spacious and comfortable rooms.

They accept foreigners and that’s a big plus. Great location, close to bazaar and main square just in front of the hotel. Nice and friendly staff. Hotel is a bit old, but overall good place to stay for 1-2 nights

Because I am going to take the postgraduate entrance examination, I have strict requirements for the room. Chen Jun, the front desk employee, gave me a room that met my requirements very well. I don't like to write reviews when staying in hotels, but I can give a thumbs up to the service attitude of this hotel, especially the manager Gu Zaili Nur. The service and hygiene are impeccable. I upgraded the room type for free, and there was a fruit plate. The room was very clean. I recommend everyone to stay!

It's an old five-star hotel with very considerate service. The front desk also upgraded me to a high floor for free with a better city view. I needed bottled water after 11pm and it was delivered quickly.

Urumqi Xinda Hyde Hotel has a prime location, with People's Square downstairs and the Autonomous Region Government nearby. What we love most is that it is within walking distance of the International Grand Bazaar and 300 meters away from Nanmen Station of Metro Line 1. The surrounding facilities are complete, and it is convenient for eating, drinking and having fun.
