Close to highway and local area communication (by car) makes it a perfect fit if you’re using the hotel as a hub for your nearby activities. In our case we visited both Högbo bruk in Sandviken for MTB rides and Padel playing in Gävle City and were very pleased with the accommodation at Scandic Gävle Väst. Very good service, helpful and nice staff, fresh breakfast and the possibility to eat a dinner or an evening snack at the hotel. 

Pleased w this dog friendly hotel where we could bring the dog for seated dinner in the bar area and walk the dog on a plowed path around the building. Friendly and helpful staff. Quiet area. Will come again!

Stayed overnight at a longer journey south. Nice personel, comfy beds and a nice experience over all. Liked the free  parking. Would stay again. I can highly recommend this hotel for any type of traveler.
