This hotel is on the edge of Lake Como, in the center of the town of Sorrento. It is an old villa, a few steps away from the church and bell tower in the center of the town.
The town is not big, but it is very beautiful. It is built next to Lake Como. There is a mountain next to it, and there is a castle on the mountain. It takes half a day to tour the whole town. You can overlook the scenery of Lake Como by climbing to the castle.
Environment: The environment is really beautiful. When you open the window, you can see Lake Como. When you go out, turn left and you will find the center of the town. It is very convenient to eat.
Hygiene: The bathroom is in good condition, with a shower room, artistic floor tiles, good bedding, and a super big bed.
Facilities: The room above the castle is an attic, and downstairs is the restaurant. The waiter preparing breakfast is a bit noisy in the morning, the facilities are relatively old, and the sound insulation effect is average.

The service was top notch here. They have convenient shuttles to and from the train station and ferry dock. They will help book dinner reservations and other taxis as needed. Free delicious breakfast and access to the gardens unless there's an event. However, our room did have significant spiders and webs so the rooms do not appear to be deep cleaned often. We spent an hour of our first night catching spiders. Not sure if it is worth the price with that in mind.

Great friendly staff amazing view
Beside the fact that this property is amazing with its iconic gap and historic rooms the staff is so excited to serve and friendly. Yunes, Renzo, Luca made this stay the best experience.
Yunes made sure at check in we were welcomed, walked through the property, down to getting the right temperature in our room.
Luca was a lifesaver because we were arriving at 11pm and he walked us through the train schedule and how to deal with the train strike down to getting us bus/train/route number so we would arrive ok despite the situation. Renzo was the best front desk person asking us what we like to so and recommending the best hike in Bellano once he found out we love to hike. He shared that he hiked it often and it's his favorite.
Because of the staff we would come back here again and again 10/10!!!!

Bodde i en helt magisk svit med den finaste utsikt jag varit med om. Allt var som en saga, stort och rymligt rum med alla moderniteter man kan önska, samtidigt som det hade en välbevarad charm. 10/10! Kommer definitivt åka tillbaka.

Beautiful gardens and view, but not a good stay
PROS: GORGEOUS view and the botanical gardens located onsite are INCREDIBLE. Unforgettable experience.
CONS: room was small and very hot upon entering. hotel is very close to the church bells that ring every hour from 7am-11pm and are loud enough to startle/wake you up. breakfast was disappointing for the most part and they play loud country music in the dining room/lobby. Kinda takes you out of the Italy experience imo. "Spa" was super expensive and was very disappointing. ~60 euros per person and comes with no amenities, only an hour of use, and it's just a couple showers with no bodywash, shampoo, etc, a steam room, and sauna. not anything special. It's also located in a different hotel about 5 min walk away and is under a ton of LOUD construction. not a great experience.

noise levels up until 11 PM were horrible!
The noise levels throughout the hotel and in my room were absolutely horrible up until 11 PM. The room was expensive and very poor. It's as if no one at the hotel really cares.

Engagement Day
We stayed in the Mimosa Suite and the room was amazing. Views were breathtaking from room and overall room was stunning. Highly recommend anyone stay at this hotel.

Este estabelecimento deveria encerrar as atividades de hospedagem e se dedicar somente às festas de casamento que ocorrem todos os dias! Pagamos por diárias equivalentes a hotel de luxo para um serviço inferior a qualquer Íbis. Você é obrigado a dormir muito tarde porque as festas acontecem por toda a noite com música em volume altíssimo e os convidados continuam ruidosos mesmo após o término das músicas. As áreas mais bonitas do hotel ficam com acesso bloqueado para hóspedes, então você não verá os ambientes com as fotos atrativas das redes sociais que o hotel mostra. As demais áreas que restam ficam lotadas de turistas que pagam para acessar e disputam cada espaço livre para fotos. O quarto é pequeno, com uma decoração básica, cama desconfortável, são duas de solteiro emendadas. O café da manhã é excelente, pelo menos um ponto positivo. A vista para o lago é realmente deslumbrante, assim como em vários locais mais econômicos de Varenna. Péssimo investimento de 750 euros por cada diária. O valor cobrado é bem desonesto em relação ao serviço oferecido. A dica é se hospedar em um hotel melhor e com preço justo e somente visitar os jardins do Villa Cipressi.
