We stayed here for 3 nights and couldn’t fault the hotel. It has its own water taxi stop so we were dropped off right at the hotel which in itself is a big win in Venice. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. We had upgraded our room for an extra €40 a night and it really was worth it. A large room with two huge windows looking onto the grand canal the views were beautiful. The location is fantastic just a short easy walk to the nearest vaparetto stop of San Stae (highly recommend the vaparetto pass get it from any stop with a kiosk we got ours at Rialto bridge) and an easy stroll to Rialto market, bridge and then a further short walk to St Marks Square. There are lots of lovely little cafe bars and restaurants on the way where the drinks are so reasonable (€6 an apperol compared to €20 in St Marks square). The hotel recommended a few restaurants to us but only got chance to eat in one (as we had other plans) Regina Sconta which was really nearby and really good. The hotel is signposted for the last few alleyways so easy to find in the dark and there are also signs directing you to the main sites. The breakfast had a good selection of hot cold and sweet and we enjoyed it everyday sometimes getting there early at 7.30 and other days turning up at 9.55!! Service was great every day and one day we got to sit out on the balcony. Every night when we got back we would sit in the jetty and have a drink from the bar and watch the world go by! There was maid service every day everything was topped up and fresh towels given. The mini bar was very reasonable and the air con worked like a dream which was such a relief after 32 degree heat outside. Such friendly helpful staff. We felt safe and everything was so easy at this hotel. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again next time in Venice.

We have just returned from a 2-night stay at this lovely hotel. It is well positioned for all the sights and there is a public water taxi stop next to the front of the hotel. The staff make all the difference. Valentino and another young man, whose name I didn’t get, were on reception for the 2 nights we were there. They didn’t stay behind the desk but came out and circulated and were engaging with all the customers, genuinely interested in what everyone had been doing. As front of house, they were outstanding. We had a side canal view. We paid a premium and being only 5’2” if I leant out, with my husband holding my ankles, I could see the Grand Canal. Not sure I would go for this option again. The room itself was small but very comfortable. We both slept very well. The only ****** was breakfast. I would like this to be self-service. On entering the breakfast room, we were advised that we had to have table service we were automatically given some bread rolls and croissants on the table. I like to have a look and then choose my own size portions, normally small. I observed that several people seemed to want to do self-service, but this wasn’t an option. A lot of rolls and croissants weren’t used as not everyone wanted them and I assume went to the bin. Also I just like to be left to do my own thing at breakfast. Table service for tea and coffee would be good. Unfortunately, this is something that would put me off using the hotel again. The only other small issue for me is the individual shampoo etc in the bathroom. I much prefer refillable dispensers which create far less plastic waste.

Modern hotel on the side of the Grand Canal only 5 mins from Rialto Bridge but in a relaxed area away from the crowds. The Rialto Market is next door and several bars are just around the corner. First class service from the Front desk staff who can help with advice and bookings. Daily turndown service ( in fact more than once a day) . Buffet breakfast with hot and cold choices was of a high standard. Bottled water left in our room daily. The Alilaguna ferry to the airport stops at Rialto Bridge. The hotel is decorated in trendy dark colours and I asked to move room to gain more light. Otherwise highly recommended for a lovely stay in Venice.

Pesaro Palace

The Hotel Pesaro Palace is located on Ca' d'oro, a small vicolo overseeing the Grand Canal, about 15 minutes walk from the train station and 15 minutes from San Marco square. The vaporetto stop on the 1 line is literally in front of the hotel. As the name suggests, the hotel looks like an old palace with decor and furniture from Venetian golden age. We booked a studio suite with Canal view. They first assigned us Room #202. It was huge and beautiful but we had an unpleasant night, as the AC did not work and the room was not clean. We also did not like it had a carpet. We changed room the next day ( #101) and this time everything was just perfect. The bathroom had both a shower and a bathtub with hydromassage. The bed was huge and comfortable. And the room had parquet and marble floors. The hotel does not have a restaurant, but offers a continental breakfast. The quality of food and choices were mediocre; the reception service too was also not impressive. Overall, I would still recommend it because of its charm and strategic position, but the hotel could be greatly improved with more attention to details and a more professional service.

Super location and great ambience. Very modern cleaned including additional facilities such as drinks, bottle of Prosecco including great roof terrace to relax and watch over the roofs. Great reception and fast check-in. Very quiet night despite the direct location in the city centre. We had the Junior Suite, certainly not the cheapest but in this location with the equipment certainly in good price level. Very clean.

The train station takes a taxi (boat) - 5 minutes to the hotel pier, and the public pier is at the hotel entrance, very convenient. This time the room was divided into the top floor with a terrace. It is said to be the only one. It is simply unparalleled scenery and enjoyment. I have been to Venice before, but I never thought I could enjoy the skyline of this beautiful city like this. I really hope to stay in this room next time. The hotel breakfast room also shocked me, walking up the grand staircase through the gorgeous hall, immediately reminiscent of the marquis and ladies who had been here all day long hundreds of years ago. Compared with the environment breakfast itself is a bit inferior, but it doesn't matter. There are delicious things everywhere, and this environment is rare. Dinner is also enjoyed at the hotel, the price is not expensive, and the taste is much better than the restaurant outside, I think it is not easy to find a decent restaurant in Venice, rather than wasting time recommending hotel dining.
