Hotels Near Cave of Miracles (Arena Liesing) in Vienna

Location: Take a 20-minute train from Wien Hbf. heading for Baden, then walk 5-6 minutes from Liesing station to the hotel. If you include transfer time from central Vienna, it takes just under an hour. There is a bus terminal in front of the station, and Stasta is located on Lehmanngasse, past the bus terminal, with your back to the train station. I was planning to go to a Christmas concert at a church along the bus route near Liesing, so I was researching the area around Liesing and found Stasta. The day I checked in was Sunday, which was the hotel's regular holiday. I pressed the doorbell outside and waited, and a hotel staff member came out shortly after. They were very friendly and explained the necessary information in an easy-to-understand way. If it's open, you can probably enter from the restaurant side, and the restaurant looks nice and comfortable. Next time, I'll definitely have dinner here! Breakfast: At the restaurant. The buffet corner is compact, but has a good selection of food. The owner with a kind smile asked us what we wanted for drinks and food. He brought freshly brewed coffee to our table and said, ”Please feel free to ask for another cup of coffee.” Yes, at the end of breakfast, we had another cup of freshly brewed delicious coffee. The fried egg was also very delicious. Considering the volume of breakfast, we ordered one (one eye), but next time we will definitely order two (both eyes). For this amount, we think that €15 for breakfast is very reasonable. Room: New, clean, quiet, and the bed is large and comfortable. Capsule coffee is also available. Staff: The owner (father) who helped us with breakfast and the staff (son?) who helped us with check-in and check-out were all very nice. We felt the quality of this family-run hotel and restaurant. It was more reasonable than hotels in the center of Vienna. Next time we stay in Vienna, we think Liesing might be a good choice of hotel.

Hotel is just super !!! I will definitely go back to it !!! I didn't expect even that it was so super !!! Every photo that on the site it corresponds ! from staff to everything at a very good level hotel ! I have seen a lot of hotels there are more to compare but this really was delighted ! There is a desire to go back to them and rest and so I will ! huge room light ! clean ! Convenient soft bed ! pools ! jacuzzi ! hall ! huge territories ! in general , there are only advantages !

Good hotel located close the Westfield shopping centre and the train station, within a 5 minute walk. The hotel is reasonably priced, rooms are functional and clean, there is a pool outside although it was the wrong time of year for outdoor swimming. Recommended.

Overall a great hotel and walking distance from the schonnburn Palace and zoo. The hotel has good service and well equip to rooms including and espresso machine for your daily coffee and tea in room. We food was also good as we only had breakfast. Overall size of the room was okay and it was quite comfortable. Lot of food options in supermarket in walking distance from the hotel. Tram and public transports are also available within walking distance from the hotel. I will definitely recommend this hotel for stay in Vienna. The price is quite value for money. We stayed for five nights in July 2022 and paid around 430 EUR excl Breakfast.

Mixed bag here. The hotel is walking distance to the Stadthalle, our main reason for booking. Lots of transport links around. Many Ubers and bolts, and about 30/40 minutes to the airport via taxi. Room size was adequate, with a mini fridge, which was unplugged with food and drink inside. It didn't really cool well, when we managed to plug it in. The beds were comfy. The room had tea and coffee making facilities, but no milk. Room had electric blinds which were cool, and room was good and dark when the curtains were closed. Breakfast was ok, pretty standard, nothing special. But still good to start the day with. Rooms on the street side are very very noisy. The hotel is near a shopping mall, so deliveries 5am-10am every morning. Vehicles lloading, banging, noise, men shouting, doors slamming etc. But not really the hotel's fault. At night people smoke outside. So you can't really open windows overnight if you want a decent night's sleep. The room got very stuffy and no real aircon. The cleaning staff start very early, around 9am, so again prospect of good sleep is hit and miss, but they are very friendly and polite. Room generally clean, but there were hairs in the sink and shower. Also hairs on the supposedly clean towels. Staff mostly friendly and accommodating. However, the price of drinks seemed to change every round, (normally increasing). There was one member of staff who had the most appalling attitude. On our last night the shower flooded badly, into the hallway of our room. We couldn't shower or use the toilet. We phoned reception. The staff member claimed he didnt understand what bathroom is flooded means. After 5 attempts at explaining. He said he would send a colleague up. Surprise! Surprise! No one came. We needed sleep due to early flight the next day. We went down to reception, we were ignored, treated with contempt, eye rolls, and he told us he couldn't help, he said he was on his own. So sending someone was a LIE!? He was at the bar pouring drinks slowly, while looking at us blankly and rolling his eyes. He demanded we take a seat, no apologies, no offer of a solution. Basically appalling customer service and no communication. He was quick to check in guests that came to reception, inbetween pouring drinks deliberately slowly to avoid us. The only thing he said was he was on his own and there were no spare rooms. Eventually, he came to our room and saw the problem. With a bad attitude he did try to unblock the drain to no avail. We were lucky enough to have him mop up the floor and give us more towels, upon us asking, no offer. The staff in the morning when we checked out were apologetic when we told them, which we appreciated, and did make us nice coffee's to go. Unfortunately it doesn't take the bad taste away, and we had a poor night's sleep as a result of the stress. No one deserves contempt, utter rudeness and unhelpfulness as a paying guest, especially when we should have been resting, ready for flying

The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from the train station. There are no restaurants or convenience stores nearby. If you are hungry at night, you can only go back to the train station supermarket to buy something to eat. One of the advantages is that the transportation is convenient.

I had a very nice welcome. I was allowed to bring my bike to the room. The room was really spacious and very nice breakfast buffet! Coffee machines were inefficient though :( I appreciated the quite area. Different kind of public transportation is still very close :)

Stayed here for 5 days delivering a training course for an outside company. Hotel is in a great location, underground 5 min walk away, tram stops outside. 10 min walk and you are in the heart of the city. Hotel is very pleasant, nicely decked out with a great ambience. The staff are wonderful, from reception to the bar and restaurant always smiling, very attentive, friendly and professional. Some of the best Hotel staff I have ever encountered, a big plus for the hotel. Food is very good, great quality, presentation and taste. This has been best Hilton I have stayed in, and i have stayed in a few. Thank you for making my trip to Vienna even more memorable.

Esperienza eccellente in coppia. Prenotato 4 notti presso questo Hotel per me e la mia ragazza, e devo dire che ne siamo rimasti estremamente soddisfatti. Punti a favore: - Camere nuove, pulite, spaziose (noi avevamo la standard e si stava benissimo), controllo temperatura direttamente dall'interno, condizionatore efficentissimo ed intuitivo, doccia ampia, minibar, cassaforte e tablet da cui controllare la TV e altre funzioni. - Posizione strategica a dir poco, davanti la fermata della Metro U1 che arriva in centro in 15 Min, bus e tram. - Tranquillità. Camere insonorizzate perfettamente, non abbiamo sentito un minimo rumore né dall'esterno, né dal corridoio, né dalle altre camere, aspetto che ho apprezzato moltissimo avendo il sonno leggero. - Palestra, seppur piccola, essenziale ed adatta ad un breve workout per chi non volesse priv****ne anche in vacanza. - Refill acqua infinito alle fontanelle in reception, anche se a detta dello staff l'acqua dei rubinetti di Vienna è potabile. Lati negativi: Anche se la nostra esperienza resta da 5 stelle, credo sia giusto sottolineare alcuni aspetti che potrebbero essere migliorati per rendere questo hotel impeccabile. - Colazione: 21€ a testa è una follia, non so cosa offrissero ma a quelle cifre nemmeno mangiando all'Hotel Sacher in centro. - Ascensori: utilizzabili solamente scannerizzando la tessere della propria camera, metodo sicuramente intelligente per evitare intrusi nell'hotel, ma a volte scomodo e malfunzionante, e in generale gli ascensori funzionano un po' macchinosamente. - Mancanza di un armadio in camera di qualche cassetto, seppure abbiamo apprezzato molto quella sorta di appendiabiti a cielo aperto all'ingresso. - Staff pulizie scortese al checkout: nonostante alla reception ci avessero detto che il checkout fosse possibile fino alle 12, già dalle 9 una signora delle pulizie è venuta a bussarci, ripetendo poi verso le 10, anche dopo averle detto che eravamo in fase di uscita e avremmo liberato la stanza per tempo. - Connessione alla TV: nonostante avessimo seguito la guida per connettere il telefono alla TV tramite Miracast, non ci ha funzionato nulla, abbiamo riprovato più volte ma niente, avremmo potuto domandare in reception ma alla fine non ne abbiamo avuto bisogno.
