We had a well needed rest day and night after a journey through the desert. We were lucky to enjoy an early check in. This place is a home away from home. Just to unwind and relax. Clean, well maintained rooms and main areas. But what really speaks for itself is the heartwarming owner and host Renette and her husband. Renette offered us exceptional service and I would anytime choose House on Olof Palme for my stay in Windhoek.

Very high quality accommodation in a quiet suburb. If you are so inclined you could walk into the city centre in about 45 min but it can be too hot. The facilities provided are excellent and the hosts extremely helpful and courteous. One of the best B&B I have had the pleasure in staying.

Private, kleine Lodge in nördlicher Vorort-Lage von Windhoek. Umfangreich und liebevoll dekoriert strahlt das B&B ein angenehmes familiäres Feeling aus. Die Zimmer sind um einen Innenhof mit Pool und Griller angeordnet. Unser Zimmer war gut ausgestattet, insbesondere die Vielfalt der Steckdosenvarianten (namibisch bis europäisch) haben wir noch selten vorgefunden. Die Betten fanden wir ausgezeichnet. Dass da manches hakt und aus dem Winkel ist oder eine Auffrischung benötigt, hat uns nicht gestört, das unterstützt nur das private Feeling. Wer klinische, gesichtslose Präzision sucht, ist im House on Olof Palme sicher falsch und besser bei einer der großen Hotelketten aufgehoben. Die privaten Betreiber sind ausnehmend nett und hilfsbereit - von der Buchung für das Abendessen bis zur Organisation eines Taxis bringt man jede Unterstützung. Wir waren leider nur eine Nacht und wären gerne länger geblieben.

Magnifique accueil pour notre 1ère nuit en Namibie. Notre hôtesse était si gentille et prévenante. On se sentait comme à la maison. Un havre de paix. Chambres spacieuses et décorées avec goût. Petit-déjeuner avec des produits faits maison. Renette nous a donné plein de conseils pour la suite de notre voyage. Une excellente maison d’hôtes.

We can not express our gratitude enough to the owner Renette for her warm welcome and making us feel at home in her cute and cosy guesthouse! She made our stay unforgettable and went above and beyond for us, helping with the booking of restaurants, drivers, etc. The rooms are super cosy, comfortable, and impeccably clean. The breakfast was tasty. The staff was so kind and always smiling. This is a special place. Thank you again, and we hope to come back soon!

Renette und Ihr Mann haben uns sehr herzlich in Emfpang genommen, sodass wir uns nach der langen Anreise sofort wohlgefühlt haben. Das House on Olof Palme bietet eine familiäre Atmosphäre, schön eingerichtete und komfortable Zimmer, einen wunderbaren Frühstücksraum und eine schöne Poolanlage. Renette hat uns gleich in einem wunderschönen Restaurant einen Tisch reserviert fürs Abendessen und viele. hilfreiche Tips gegeben - wir hatten einen tollen Start in unsere Namibiareise und können diese Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen und kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Door een aanzienlijke vertraging van onze vlucht naar Windhoek, dienden wij in allerijl een overnachting in Windhoek te regelen. Onze reisorganisator stelde deze B&B voor en wij waren heel gelukkig met de keuze. De eigenares Rennette bleek een ontzettend vriendelijke en behulpzame dame, die ons laat op de avond warm verwelkomde. Na een verkwikkende nachtrust (prima bedden) genoten wij van een lekker ontbijt en hielp zij ons bij het uitstippelen van onze eerste reisdag (die door de vluchtvertraging in de war was gestuurd). We kregen zelfs haar GSM-nummer mee voor het geval we nog problemen zouden ondervinden. Haar vriendelijkheid verzachtte de ogemakken van de vertraging en deed op dat ogenblik erg veel deugd.

The guest house itself is in a quiet neighborhood, squeaky clean and cozy. The service is good, breakfast even better and the WiFi is excellent.
What makes this place exceptional is it's hosts, Renette and Dries. Genuinely warm hearted and down to earth people. Staying at their place felt like visiting family. But unlike (at least my...) family, they knew when to leave you alone.That's an art, I think.
