Hotels in Slender West Lake Tourist District, Yangzhou

We stayed in a Grand Deluxe Courtyard King Room (1st floor with courtyard) in Building 8, Furong Garden. To break it down: Building 8 is close to Slender West Lake (not lakeside, but within walking distance). The 'Mountain View' rooms overlook a green forest, while 'Water View' rooms face an inner courtyard pond. If you want a small courtyard, definitely choose a 1st-floor room; I assume rooms on the second floor and above are called 'scenic view' rooms. I took some photos of the exteriors of rooms 105 and 108 during cleaning for everyone's reference. **Amenities:** Yangzhou in early summer was hot and humid, but having a small courtyard made it feel much more open. I can only imagine how pleasant it would be to drink tea there when it's cooler. The mattress firmness was perfect for me (not too soft), and the air conditioning was quiet with stable temperature control. The room came with a dehumidifier, which was very practical, especially after hanging clothes. The staff even brought over a drying rack when they came for turndown service and helped set it up – a definite plus. The bathtub came with Bvlgari toiletries, and Evian water was provided (they were generous with replenishments). I can't quite remember how many mini-bar items there were, four or five perhaps. The first round was complimentary, and they didn't check it upon checkout. A large bottle of Nongfu Spring water was also provided for tea, which was appropriate for the price point. **Service:** Throughout our stay, the service was comfortable and stress-free. From the lobby to the butler, every staff member was professional and patient, answering questions clearly and efficiently. The shuttle service within the garden was on-call; whether by WeChat or phone, we rarely waited more than a few minutes – completely hassle-free. **Additional tips on dining and attractions:** We didn't plan much in advance, mostly checking things on the fly and asking the butler. A small suggestion for the hotel: it might be helpful to compile frequently asked questions and relevant local information to proactively send to guests. **Quyuan Teahouse:** Turn right out of Building 8's lobby, cross two small bridges, and you're there. We had both breakfast and dinner there. The prices are on the higher side, but the experience was well worth it. For breakfast on Saturday, we got a number at 8 AM and walked right in. For dinner, we were also among the first to be seated at 5 PM (Note: some rooms in Building 8 have windows directly facing the teahouse, so if this is a concern, you can inquire with the front desk beforehand). **Slender West Lake:** During the day, you can enter directly from the stone bridge next to the teahouse (admission fee applies). For night tours, you need to take the shuttle to the hotel's south gate, walk along the asphalt road to the main road, and then cross a bridge past the pedicabs to reach the south gate. The night boat tour is not recommended; the views are limited, and it's purely for transport. However, the park's night performance is worth seeing, especially since you're already there. **A small reminder:** Building 8 is not waterside, so if you're looking for a lake view right outside your window, you'll need to choose another building. Also, as regular guests, we didn't experience many high-end services, but based on our personal experience, our three-day, two-night stay far exceeded expectations. This room type is a definite recommend!

Excellent! Very satisfied, the facilities are complete. It's great value for money. Getting to Dongguan Street, Ge Garden, and He Garden isn't too far. The front desk service is superb; every time we asked for information, they were incredibly enthusiastic and gave excellent suggestions, even helping us avoid potential issues. It's still quite cold in Yangzhou in the mornings and evenings, though it warms up a bit at noon, and they'd advise us to wear more layers when going out – truly like family. They proactively addressed our needs during our stay and basically solved any problems we had immediately, enhancing our experience. It's really wonderful, five-star rating!

Every time I'm on a business trip, I love staying at the Wenchang Road International Convention and Exhibition Center branch. The rooms are newly renovated, and just a left turn out of the lobby brings you to Mingyue Lake Park, perfect for a refreshing and healthy walk. The service is warm and friendly; they even upgraded my room since I'm a regular guest, which made me really happy. Thank you!

During the summer, Shanghai was packed with tourists, so we decided to leave it to them and wreak some havoc in Yangzhou instead. Our family of four stayed in three different hotels, and this one was by far the best. The service was top-notch. We stayed in a family villa suite with a private hot spring tub where we could adjust the temperature as we pleased – the best part was not having to share it with anyone else! The hotel also has a cute pet park with friendly alpacas and other small animals that you can interact with and feed. The butler for Villa 16 even decorated the tub when he filled it for us, and Sister Luobo was always responsive and answered all our questions promptly. The experience was truly excellent!

The hotel's location in the city is very convenient for getting around, being close to Slender West Lake and Dongguan Street. The breakfast offers a rich and varied selection, and dining on the 26th floor provides a great view of the entire city. It was a nice alternative to sightseeing, especially since the scenic spots were closed. Just a small suggestion: it would be great if the staff could try to avoid making too much noise when clearing plates.

The location is excellent, very close to Dongguan Street, and there are many dining options nearby. However, the hotel's location is surprisingly quiet and not noisy. The hotel is situated in an alley. Although the address is Guoging Road, it's actually right by Wenchang Road. Service: The staff were very enthusiastic, greeting us every time we entered or left the hotel, and were very proactive in helping with any issues. They even prepared a souvenir for us when we checked out. The only drawback is that the shower in the suite directly faces the living room sofa, so you have to pull a screen across yourself. If you don't mind this, then it's not an issue. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would choose this hotel again next time.

The location is fantastic, right next to the south entrance of Slender West Lake. You can step out and immediately take a boat tour of the lake. There's Yechun Teahouse nearby for breakfast, a Ruixing Coffee, and a Shizu Supermarket (which sells Yangda yogurt). If you want to go to Quyuan, you can call for a shuttle from a number on a fence diagonally opposite the hotel's parking lot. Basically, everything is conveniently close by. The hotel also has its own parking lot with fast chargers. The decor is stylish, and the room is cozy with a small balcony. It was a bit too hot to enjoy it fully, but it would be lovely to have a cup of tea out there in spring or autumn.

The Hongqiaofang Hotel is part of the Yangzhou Xiyuan Hotel, but its facilities are quite average. Paying 2000 a night during a holiday is definitely not worth the price. You should book Building 18 in advance, it's only three years old. For the Quyuan morning tea, you have to line up by 6 AM, otherwise, you won't get a spot until noon. It's really better not to travel during holidays. The advantage of staying at the Xiyuan Hotel is its proximity to Slender West Lake and all the food options nearby. The environment is absolutely stunning. The beautiful scenery of Liuting under the rain gives off a charming Jiangnan misty rain vibe. It's perfect for a vacation. You should come when it's less crowded to fully enjoy the tranquility. Building 11 is older, and the hygiene is really just so-so. I even found an uncleaned razor.

The room's cleanliness exceeded expectations; there wasn't a single dirty spot. The bedding was soft and skin-friendly, and they even provided both soft and firm pillows, ensuring a great night's sleep. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and the water pressure was stable with a full set of toiletries. The TV supported screen mirroring, and the charging outlets were well-distributed. There was also a small sofa by the window, perfect for relaxing and watching the street view at night. The soundproofing was excellent; even though it faced the street, I couldn't hear any noise. Overall, it was simple, clean, and incredibly relaxing and comfortable to stay in.
