Nice budget option on the edge of the city centre. The location in a side street makes for a very quiet night. The room was spacious and very clean. The heated seat and heating in the bathroom were quite a highlight. The beds were supercomfy. And the traditional design especially of the courtyard is beautiful.
What we think could be improved: our room in the ground floor was a bit dark. The windows could not be opened and on morning there were people shifting card boxes from on place to the other one just in front of our window, so privacy felt a bit limited. Despite the CCTV, an actual locked storage room would have been much appreciated on our check-out day so the bags would not have been standing in the open front desk room while the gates are open and noone is there to have an eye on the luggage.
Overall though, we had a really nice time in Lijiang. The Jade Mountains with their Blue Moon Lakes are spectacular.
