Conquering the Massive Granite Boulder Rivers of Golden Bridges

#adventuretrips Scrambling across the colossal, river-like fields of smooth, rounded granite boulders known as the Golden Bridges (Zlatnite Mostove) on Vitosha Mountain tested my balance and agility from the very first step. Hopping and climbing across the massive grey stone blocks with a cold mountain stream rushing invisibly deep beneath my feet felt like navigating a giant natural jungle gym. The dense beech forest canopy framing the massive stone rivers created an intensely immersive, wild playground just a stone's throw away from the capital city.
