Batu Ferringhi Motels

Upon arrival at the Rasa Motel (free parking) we were greeted by the loveliest, friendliest host. I believe her name was Goi. She asks all about you, how you are doing, etc., gives you a map to explain how to get to the nearby attractions, and explains the water and drinks situation at the motel. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a triple room in the new wing which provided a double and a single bed. The room itself was very clean and bright with a fancy new air conditioner. It's easy to tell how new the bathrooms are as well! It's only a 5 minute walk to the beach and Goi can recommend any and all types of food/cuisine that you please, she seems to have all the insider knowledge! They also let us keep our leftover Nasi Kandar in a fridge since there is no fridge in the rooms. I would highly recommend to stay here if you are looking to stay in Batu Ferringhi on a budget but not sacrifice a warm welcome, a neat room, and a great location.

This is my 1st time stayed in Parkroyal Resort Penang... This is the best experience that i have..nice view, nice place...easy to access to the beach...Got a lot of beautiful place to take a photo... Variety of food... Spacious room...overall i am very satisfied stay at this hotel...i will repeat again for next time...🥰🥰

a great weekend getaway to celebrate our youngest son birthday. greet by sharlene upon check in with lots of positive energy n warmth.. raining but warm soft cookies fix that nicely.. thanx sharlene.. room was great, they even throw bunch of balloons to welcome the birthday boy.. no swimming since the weather was not so friendly.. next stop kids club, the receiption was not that great.. but still not that bad.. breakfast was superb, lots of choices, already full n to kids club again.. perhaps not enough staff, they even had a discussion while children are playing, discussion with a pinch of arguement in front of us.. need a better plan to make that place extra fun for kids.. also please choose more suitable music for KIDS.. not adult, not teeangers but KIDS.. overall was a great experience despite few small bumps here n there.. but nothing cant be fixed with extra effort n lots n lots of smile.. n cookies.. much thanx doubletree penang for a wonderful hospitality..

The hotel is old in terms of furniture , but it is very suitable for those who bring with kids because there are many facilities for children.. A beautiful place to relax while watching the sunset while having a massage.. The staff hotel has friendly and helpful staff, especially the staff who help deliver bags to the room. .. no matter what, I will probably come back to this hotel again..

perfect location for travel with family, the view very beatiful, i booking 3 day 2 night with seaview room, the hotel servis very good at counter n the staff very friendly, what ever i reqs, the alway accept n sent into the room, only buggy luggage very bad service n disspointed, i reqs to sent at car parking cause i park to far, but this guys reject to sent me n my family time checkout, so bad service n i have to carries my luggage with my son n husb.

Checked in on time. Had a nice pulled lamb burger at Hard Rock Cafe - it was so good. Room and balcony spacious enough and comfortable pillow/bed. Buffet breakfast was busy as the hotel had lots of families spending the weekend there. Food spread was decent.

The hotel had been renovated since we last visited a few years ago. Facilities have been upgraded especially the health club. We used the yoga room for stretching and it was very relaxing. Tennis courts were a bit disappointing, one court did not even have a net. Besides that and the unsettled weather, our stay had been very pleasant. There are lots of eating places outside of hotel and plenty of places nearby that one can visit. We went to the Tropical fruit farm and it was very educational and worth the visit.

We honestly had a really good stay here! The staff were all very attentive. Location is great. Loved the room that we got! The whole place is just really beautiful. Just a couple of things to point out is that we found a chewing gum on the toilet wall when we first checked in. For a 4-star hotel, such mistake is pretty disappointing but glad housekeeping came to clear it off immediately. Also there are lots of mosquitoes in the area. Would highly suggest to bring your own mosquito spray as the hotel didnt have any. They only provided us with mat heater ones for our room but you would need the spray especially if you’re gonna chill outside the room and during breakfast time. Other than that, we loved the hospitality throughout our stay and will definitely return!

Firstly the staff, they are all really lovely and cannot do enough for you. When we checked in we realised that we had accidentally booked the wrong week! But this wasn’t an issue as we were given a better room for the same price! In fact, we actually enjoyed our stay that much we ended up staying for 14 nights! The location is great, there’s plenty to do, lots of great cheap restaurants and the beach is less than a few minutes walk. Initially it was hard to find as it’s placed in an old shopping centre on the 2nd floor. We took the escalators but there is also a lift. Once you get inside, the secure front door the reception is modern and clean, 24hr help is always available and the rooms lock with a physical key. You get way more than you’d expect for the price. Modern clean rooms with refurbished en suite with rainfall shower. Hot water at all times and reliable WiFi. Tea and coffee 24/7 too! And breakfast everyday until 11am!! Every 3 days we got clean towels, fresh sheets and the room was cleaned. Some guests have complained about the noise from the charaoke which is on the same floor but our room was the closest to this and we were never kept up, the latest would could just about hear it was 23:30 but this was on a Saturday night! The only downsides, albeit small, were the lack of variety at breakfast, lack of natural light in the rooms due to the windows facing into the shopping centre so the curtains should be closed, and the WiFi was a bit slow, but only noticeable if streaming HD videos, for general web surfing it was more than capable! Overall me and my partner were very happy with our 2 weeks we spent here, we felt very safe and relaxed and you can’t argue with the price! It saved us a lot of money on our 6 month trip and was one our favourite place we stayed in Penang! Thank you once again, if we are ever in Malaysia again we will be sure to visit :)
