The Broadway Park Hotel

The evening staff where nowhere to be seen on the evening we checked in. They had a sign at reception saying they were in the bar and a sign in the bar saying they were at reception. Took over 20 minutes to find a member of staff to be able to check in and they weren’t even apologetic once they turned up. The next evening we went for a drink in the bar, while the rugby finals were on. There were many people trying to get a drink, however again the bar/reception staff were not around. Ended up giving up waiting without being served and going back to our room instead. Very disappointed with the service. The room and location had everything you needed, however and we had no complaints in this regard.

The Clifton

We returned after 10 years to an updated and still very beautiful Clifton Hotel. The original and welcoming owners, Carys and David were still there with a small but experienced team of helpful staff. The rooms are tastefully decorated and equipped with everything you need, plenty of hot drink choices and a mini bar. We stayed in the balcony bay view room overlooking the beautiful landscaped garden with spectacular views out to sea. The hotel was clean and well maintained and nothing was too much trouble for the friendly and accommodating staff. The house keeping staff kept our room well stocked with tea, coffee, biscuits and fresh towels (thank you Becky and Josh). We felt very looked after, breakfast was fabulous every day, lots of choice (the home made marmalade is particularly yummy, thanks Cary’s Mum) and you can order cakes, coffee and hot food throughout the day if you don’t want to go too far. The hotel was as wonderful as we remembered and we are really glad we went back. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Royal Esplanade Hotel

I stayed here for three days, and the transportation is convenient near the hotel. The hotel is opposite Ryde Quay and is very easy to find. Moreover, the bus stop is diagonally opposite the hotel, and the transportation is convenient. The hotel's breakfast is great, but the staff who clean the room are very unhygienic. They put the cups used by the first-hand guests on the table for the second-hand guests.
Dorset Hotel, Isle of Wight

Very conveniently positioned, a short walk away from the beach and the esplanade, but better value than the hotels on the seafront. Checking in was a quick and simple process, and the room was pleasant and clean, however, the decoration does require some TLC, including a paper sign that was torn and half off the wall where it was originally attached. A minor issue, but replacing it would take minutes, and it would immediately give a better first impression. The sink was in the room (not in the bathroom) but it was making the best use of the space available, Breakfast was fresh and served quickly, with unlimited self-service cereal, juice, and tea/coffee available. I would not hesitate in staying here again.
The Union Inn

Popped in as heard about the new breakfast menu so thought I would give it a try on my morning walk. Definitely worth the stop, the staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. The pub was very clean and tidy and cosy feeling to it. I chose my breakfast from the menu on the table and placed my order at the bar. The food arrived promptly and very well presented, it was hot and very tasteful.. well worth the money and glad I stopped off. If you haven’t been in yet give it a try and I most certainly will be stopping in again!
Luccombe Hall Hotel
4.3/543 Reviews
I am the tour manger for a car club and recently stayed with a large group of friends at the Luccombe Hall. What a wonderful hotel, from start to finish everything was 'spot on'. The staff were friendly and very efficient, especially Charlotte who seemed to be on duty the whole time we were there. Nothing was too much trouble. Rooms - we had room 22. A sea view balcony room - very clean, plenty of drawer space, comfortable bed and 'fresh' milk in the fridge. Bathroom was quite small but once again very clean, with body lotion as well as the usual shower gel, hair shampoo and conditioner. Plenty of hot water. Food - excellent and caters for all dietary needs. To serve 42 people a three course meal without any hitches takes some doing. It was served hot and very well presented. Large portions. Breakfast is buffet style for the cereals etc with cooked breakfasts ordered as required. Once again, plenty of choices. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this hotel to groups and individuals alike. From being to end it was a great experience and having stayed in many hotels this one stands out from the rest by a long shot. Wonderful
Crab and Lobster Inn

Good and bad, booked nab room for my birthday and anniversary, when we arrived at 4.pm ish went straight to nab room, omg it was freezing, couldn't work heating, husband went and asked how to work it and they didn't know but 30 minutes later heating came on, well slightly, 2 thirds of radiator didn't work, room very big and lots windows, never have I spent the evening in my coat and scarf in a hotel. We were both very cold. Went for booked meal which was good and had glass of free procecco each for our celebration, which was nice. Got back to room and still very cold, still cold in night and morning. Room was OK but needs a bit off TLC. Great views. Good breakfast but ordered poached eggs and crispy bacon chef forgot bacon and had to wait. Think the place are concentrateing on bar and food. Staff and manager tryed but not sorted, not really good enough or of place to go in winter time.
