We stayed at the Moxy for 4 nights and really enjoyed our experience. Chantel greeted us as the front desk and was amazing! The hotel is brand new and has some of the best photo ops to take on property that are Instagram worthy. The staff never missed a beat. We will definitely be back!

I took my daughter on a mother daughter trip. We stayed only 1 night. The hotel staff went above and beyond. They were so incredibly helpful! They allowed us to check in early the day we arrived and even allowed a late checkout the following day! They were so helpful getting the free bike rental, even brought a toothbrush to my room when I realized I had forgotten mine. Amazing staff. This hotel was cute, very close to the beach and not to far to get to shops. We didn't have a carso we walked or rode bikes everywhere. It's an older hotel, the floors have not been updat, but the beds and bathroom were clean and comfortable. Will definitely stay here again.

This is where you want to be in South Beach. The staff is PHENOMENAL!!! Robert, the concierge, is the best guy in the service industry. Everyone, from lobby, to room service, was also great. The hotel is family-friendly. And also, based on observations of others, discrete. Our room was spacious and comfortable. We had a huge (for a hotel) walk-in closet off the main room. This made up for lack of dresser in the bedroom. The kitchen was serviceable but had no pots or pans. Hot water took a little while to get up to heat, but once it did, it was hot! The hotel is older but clean. Room service made the rounds in the afternoon . So a good place if you are out for the nigh life. You won't have annoying 10/11-am knocks on the door. The elevator situation is a bit annoying. You have to take two elevators to get to most of the rooms. Also, none of our windows opened. They were screwed shut. So, unless you have a balcony (which open to the courtyard, not the ocean view), don't expect fresh air. ... but, I'm being a bit nit-picky for an Ocean Dr. hotel . Overall, I'm hoping to return.

Buyer beware! It's great that you can pay at the property and all, but the one thing Kimpton Palomar does not tell you in the fine print is that when you give them your CC for ”Authorization” you are actually giving the property the right to charge you when they want, how they want, the amount they want without your knowledge. Upon checking-in, the incompetent receptionist by the name of Daniela failed to inform me that 60% of the security deposit has already been charged to the CC on file and that the balance of the security deposit would be charged immediately after checking in. Afterward, I was charged the full amount of the 3 night stay and asked for the security deposit ($150 per night, totaling $450!) Since I travel often, I always put any security deposits in a separate CC as I know these amounts can take sometimes take weeks to be released back to the card. At this point, the incompetent Daniela should have realized that the security deposit had already been charged, but she insisted on a form of payment. I did as I was instructed and went on my way to the room. A pro-tip: Alway video the room the way you find it so that when the mystery charges appear on your bill, you have proof that you did not do/use/consumed what they claim you did. After arriving in the room, I decided to check my account to make sure the correct payment was charged. To my surprise, I have been charged the security deposit (split into two uneven payments) and the full cost of the room for my entire stay, along with the full security deposit of $450 to my other CC. I went to the lobby where Daniela quickly handed me over the manager on duty, Vinny. Since I am bilingual, I spoke to Vinny in English. He did not realize I understood Spanish, and began asking Daniella what she did wrong and why she did the transaction the way she did. I finally entered the conversation in Spanish and Daniella removed herself and began ”helping” another guest. Vinny took the time to explain the error that Daniela made but never apologized. Daniela in-turn, gives me a side-ways ”I'm Sorry” and goes on her way. After a 10 minute discussion about policies, authorizations, payment, security deposits, etc, Vinny gave me a full refund of the Room Charges and additional security deposit so we can start all over and only pay the room charge. Unfortunately, the ”refund of the Authorization” did not reverse immediately...it took 8 business day for that to occur. I decided to let the refund post onto my account and give it a day. The following day, I see that I am now being charged by the night (since they have my CC on file and can do what they want with it) but the refund is nowhere in sight. I once again speak with Vinny and he tells me that he fixed the mistakes of others and that it is up to the financial institution now and I should contact them directly. I told him I had already spoken with my financial institution and they told me it is up to the merchant to release the refund. I re

I was greeted by a older black woman, whom she stated was the manager of this facility, and does NOT need to be. Her lack of professionalism, is staggering, and over due for a review of her behavior. She is way too old to act in th manner she did with my husband and I. She hold faced, lied to me and told me she was refunding me for the entirety of our stay because we were given a dirty room, she actually tried kicking me out, bc I complained about her giving me a dirty room, instead of a professional whom would have offered different accomodations, she yelled and berated me, the customer who was given the filthy room that was not cleaned from 10 years ago, much less after the last guest. Do not believe me, well look at my photos. There was a used condom wrapper wrapped up in the ball of sheets that were to be my bed for the night, not on the bed, but shuffled all over the bed, as if someone slept in th bed VERY HARD, which made the fitted sheet to come off, no blanket no pillows, just a top and bottom sheet, and the used condom wrapper. The floors where not swept or vaccumed , there was trash everywhere in the room, the baseboards where black with mold and dust, the tables had trash all over them, there was dried blood all over the bathroom floor, there was this thick black moldy green substance almost on every square Inch of the inner bathroom which stood the toilet, and bathtub shower area and I am not exaggerating in the least bit. And on top of all that, the tub did not drain, so not only was there this black sludgey mold stuff on every crevice, it was in every crack of the inner bathroom floor (see photo of beside the toilet. And there was a green/black ring inside the tub from lack of cleaning after bathing in the tub bc it did not drain left the filth of whoever was in there that night before, in this case the last ten years of it's use, it had not been cleaned. There is no way anyone had done any cleaning too this room. (SEE PHOTOS). I went and got food before we even went inside our room, but the black lady, elderly wasn't there it was a white woman who was also elderly and she was very kind, and did everything she could to make it right, she promised a full refund for the two nights bc she could not give me another room, and I didn't have the money to go set up another room for us, even if they refunded me to my card, bc it doesn't go back to your card instantly, it can take up to two weeks for that too occur if not longer, so we were stuck here, for those two days. She offered me clean sheets pillows, some cleaning supplies, but could not give me another room even though it was without working air, and/or cleaned from last guest. Something struck me as odd, when I told her what room I was in, she said, ”well, no wonder, why'd they put you in there.” This made me think they have certain rooms for certain guests, and I was just unlucky, bc the ”good” rooms were already booked up, so I got the room they have for the crackheads
