Not great value for money, and the overall experience was pretty mediocre. The fact that the island was reclaimed from the sea, and the various buildings on it, are quite astonishing, but it's a real shame how many areas are neglected and falling into disuse. With over 5,000 rooms, the hotel had a high occupancy rate during the holiday, making the lobby feel like a chaotic market, packed with people and incredibly noisy. There were significant delays for check-in, and breakfast was practically a free-for-all, with extremely poor food quality. Room cleanliness was terrible; there were scratches all over the walls, and the bed runner was damaged and still had dried food crumbs from the previous guest on it – makes you wonder how long it hadn't been washed. The room itself was tiny, and when I asked for an extra pillow, I was told they didn't have any. We were a family of one adult and two children, both around six years old, but were told we had to purchase an additional child's breakfast, as two small children couldn't count as one adult. For nearly 600 RMB a night, with nothing included, it really wasn't worth it.

Now for the main highlight: I can't recommend our incredible butler, Dora, enough! 🥰 She was incredibly thoughtful and warm. She proactively upgraded us to a sea-view room, and the moment we opened the door, we were stunned. The endless ocean stretched out before us – the view was absolutely breathtaking. Upon learning it was our anniversary, she secretly decorated our room in advance, adding so much special touch. It was a completely unexpected and delightful surprise. She was always prompt in responding and thought of every single detail. Her attention to detail was exceptional. With the stunning scenery combined with Dora's incredibly attentive and personalized service, we had an unforgettable time. If you're coming to Sanya for a vacation, don't hesitate to book this place. And when we return, we'll definitely be looking for Dora again!

This was by far the best stay I’ve ever had in Haikou. First, the staff were absolutely amazing. I messaged the day before to ask if there was a cake shop nearby, since it was my wife’s birthday. When we arrived at the hotel, they not only provided a cake for us free of charge, but also upgraded our room to a top-floor sea view room—completely complimentary. The room itself was spotless and beautiful. The swimming pool was a short walk from the hotel, but very nice, and the hot springs and fish spa were truly relaxing. We also tried the buffet for just 198 RMB per person, and it was well worth it. The food was excellent—the sashimi was fresh, beer and wine were included, and the variety was broad. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Overall, this was an amazing experience, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Haikou.

I've visited Sanya many times, and if you're not planning on swimming in the ocean, Atlantis Sanya in Haitang Bay is the perfect choice. The waves in Haitang Bay are strong and there are rip currents, so swimming in the sea isn't allowed. However, the hotel offers a waterpark, aquarium, C Show, dolphin encounters, and sea turtle encounters, ensuring your schedule is packed every day. The C Show is complimentary for two during your stay, and all other activities offer unlimited access. Plus, our room came with a butler, Xiaoma, who was always available to help with any issues 👍. During our stay, I lost my ID at the waterpark, and a staff member named Ken found it and contacted me immediately to return it 👍. The hotel has two breakfast restaurants, and the breakfast here is much better than all the hotels in Yalong Bay 👍. All rooms have sea views with an open panorama facing Wuzhizhou Island. The biggest advantage is the high floors, which make swimsuits dry quickly 👍. I love swimming and playing in the water, so I always bring at least two swimsuits. Here, my swimsuit dried in just 30 minutes 👍! Next time, I'll try staying in a Royal Club room...

We stayed in rooms 7603 and 7609. The hotel's location is excellent, and the sea view from the sixth floor is beautiful. The service was also good. The downside is that room 03 had a strong musty smell, and in room 09, we found a small gecko. We called the service hotline, and they quickly helped us remove it, but the hotel really should do a thorough check before guests check in. The facilities are very old; the TV only showed channels and was very laggy, and it only had HDMI input, no screen mirroring functionality. The Bluetooth connection on the phone only played sound, so we just went to sleep. In the evening, we went to a nearby restaurant and tried Wenchang chicken; the coconut chicken was quite crispy, and the steamed chicken was very tender – both are worth trying. We also ordered stir-fried beef because we saw many cows on the way, but the beef was very tough, so I wouldn't recommend it. The coconut rice was also quite delicious. The next morning, we went to a nearby mountain to watch the sunrise, but unfortunately, the clouds were too thick, and we couldn't see it.

And there's the familiar, thoughtful service – our butler Momo was consistently enthusiastic. We extended our stay by two more nights this time, and the longer we stayed, the more we realized our first choice was indeed the best one. That night in Yalong Bay was just a learning experience; for the rest of our holiday, we happily entrusted ourselves to the Grand Hyatt Haitang Bay. Thank you, Momo, and thank you, Hyatt, for repeatedly confirming that we made the right choice. Next time we come to Sanya, no more fussing around – we'll head straight here!

Our butler, Damon, was incredibly attentive and fantastic! Room service was also excellent. The paddleboarding lane was perfect for photos, thumbs up! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 However, the air conditioning and ventilation design in the lobby and the waiting area of the second-floor restaurant were terrible – it was so hot we couldn't even stand to be there. Also, the hotel signage was unclear. The bubble party was supposed to be at the kids' pool, but it was closed for maintenance and moved to the pool next to the pool bar. There were no signs, and even the golf cart driver didn't know where it had been moved. He just dropped us off by the roadside and told us to walk to the paddleboarding area to ask, and then we had to walk all the way to the pool bar. In this heat, it was absolutely unbearable! And the breakfast service at the second-floor restaurant was ridiculous – they strictly cut you off. At 11 AM, I wanted to order something extra; after three minutes, they still hadn't brought it. When I asked again, they just said it was past 11 AM, claiming my first request for the menu was already at 11 AM. For a room costing over 3000 yuan a night, is this really the breakfast service you get? Then, they also delivered the wrong dessert to our table. Honestly, besides the butler and room service, everything else was truly disappointing.
