Lovely hotel very near the main pedestrianised shopping centre. The room was large and very clean, all necessary facilities including an espresso machine., safe, fridge etc. Nice en suite with walk in shower. In all my years of travelling, and I have travelled a lot, I have never had such a comfortable bed! The bed was huge and just perfect for a good night sleep. Every member of staff was extremely friendly from reception to breakfast and dinner, bar staff and housekeeping. The staff who served us breakfast and dinner were just so warm and welcoming, they really were a delight. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Made the stay extra special. If weather permits there is a nice outside seating area. Breakfast was very good with a continental buffet followed by a cooked to order hot breakfast. The main drawback to the hotel is the hill it is situated on. It is quite steep but manageable…it is a five to 10 minute walk to town so the location is really good in that sense. Guernsey is very hilly so you will find a lot of accommodation, attractions, shops etc involve a bit of a climb. However don’t let this stop you visiting as it really is a worthwhile experience.
