Hainan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture (海南藏族自治州) is an autonomous prefecture under the administration of Qinghai Province. It is named Hainan (literally “south of Qinghai”) due to its being located south of the famous Qinghai Lake. Hainan is the eastern gateway of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, and tourist attractions here include Riyue Mountain, Qinghai Lake and the Daotang River, where stunning landscapes and scenery await discovery.
