Guest User: Our family of five retirees chose Qinyue Hotel on March 18th to see the famous Zigong Lantern Festival. We all agreed that I should give Qinyue Hotel a 5-star rating for the following reasons: 1. **Location** This hotel is located in the heart of the old city, making it incredibly convenient for dining, drinking, and sightseeing. To see the lantern festival, it's just a 5-minute walk to the No. 8 lantern shuttle bus stop at Tanmulin, with buses departing hourly from 6 PM to the Chinese Lantern World. There's also a Lantern Museum nearby. As for the famous Dinosaur Museum, it's currently undergoing major renovations and will reopen at a later date. 2. **Room Amenities and Comfort** We absolutely loved and praised the hotel's soft furnishings, especially the bedding, pillows, etc. The quality of the bed linen was comparable to that of a 5-star hotel – incredibly comfortable and luxurious. The hotel bathrooms feature automatic toilets, and every detail shows the hotel's thoughtfulness and careful attention. It looks like a recently renovated hotel. 3. **Room Cleanliness** The cleanliness was excellent and we were very satisfied 👍. The room floors were gleaming, made of high-quality large tiles, which naturally leaves little opportunity for dirt to accumulate, right? Combined with the hotel's standardized cleaning management, the hygiene was superb. 4. **Breakfast** Breakfast is included, and everyone entering the breakfast area will be pleasantly surprised and have their appetites stimulated, as there's a wide variety of choices. My personal favorites included: white fungus soup, rich and aromatic freshly ground soy milk, crispy golden fried glutinous rice and banana dessert, siumai, buns, steamed twisted rolls, fresh stir-fried vegetables, two types of congee, various stir-fries, pickled vegetables, and more. The breakfast selection was surprisingly abundant. 5. **Service Attitude and Value for Money** This hotel offers exceptional overall value for money, with many unexpected delightful surprises. Of course, we had to give it a full score. The service attitude was even more meticulous and considerate; any questions or requests were answered and guided patiently and thoroughly. 6. **Minor Flaws** Both the front and back entrances of the hotel are inconspicuous. The back door opens directly onto the road but requires going down a few steps to reach the elevator, while the front entrance has upward steps leading to the road. Also, the hotel's exterior looks a bit old and is not very noticeable. Of course, haha 😄, this also creates a surprising contrast between the exterior and interior.

As soon as we arrived, two lovely guest relations staff members warmly greeted us. They not only thoughtfully introduced us to local specialty foods but also patiently recommended souvenirs we could take home, which made my parents feel incredibly welcome. Zhennan Tower · "White Pagoda" · Rong County, Zigong, Sichuan On Longtou Hill above Rong County, the 镇南塔 Zhennan Tower — locals just call it 白塔, the White Pagoda — has been standing since the Song dynasty, and is still largely intact. It's a national-level protected site, but nothing about it performs. You walk up, look at the numbers, and go quiet on your own. It rises 23.85 m on a footprint of just 60.84 m², set on a square Sumeru pedestal 2 m high and 7.8 m to a side. Inside it has five storeys; outside it reads as eleven. A 66-step stone stair winds up past a central chamber and a solid spine. The ground floor opens in an arch, ringed with bracket sets imitating timber; the fifth storey carries luohan figures; and it closes in a four-cornered pyramidal finial. Here's the part that stays with you: the body and the central column are all brick, and that column runs unbroken from the finial down to the base. It is, essentially, the same idea as a modern structural core tube — a full-height spine taking the load — worked out in brick, centuries before the term existed. You don't even need to climb it to feel how clever that is. This kind of awe is not just a "Wow, so beautiful" feeling, but a vivid realization of the brilliant and splendid stories passed down through Chinese civilization, transformed into tangible lanterns one by one. · What impressed me the most was the sheer scale of the Zigong lantern displays—so vast that it hardly felt like lanterns, but more like a cyberpunk dream, crossing dimensions from ancient times to the future. If I had to point out one issue, it would be that the themes felt a bit scattered, but since watching lanterns is a family reunion activity, it’s understandable that it resembles a mixed stew like the Spring Festival Gala. · 🕐 Best Time to Enter the Park The official opening is at 5:00 PM, so you can first take a general look around the park during the day. Our trip to Zigong with the kids was great! We chose the DaNaoShou Family Theme Hotel, and the experience was fantastic! I was especially impressed with Xiao Liao at the front desk; her service was attentive and gentle. Check-in was smooth and efficient; she greeted our child proactively, gave us a small gift, and explained all the hotel's services in detail, answering all our questions. The hotel had a fantastic dinosaur theme, with adorable decorations that were perfect for photos. The rooms were clean and odor-free, fully equipped, and thoughtfully provided children's amenities. The children's playground on the first floor was clean and safe, allowing our children to play to their hearts' content. The hotel's location is excellent, making it convenient to visit Fantawild Dinosaur Kingdom. The cleaning staff were also very responsible, keeping the public areas spotless. Overall, it was great value for money, the service was heartwarming, and our child loved the hotel. We'll definitely stay here again next time we come to Zigong!
