Stayed here for two nights while attending an event at AsiaWorld-Expo, and for that purpose this hotel is an excellent choice. The location is very convenient, as you can easily walk back to your room after a concert or exhibition without having to worry about transportation late at night.
The hotel was very clean, and our room on the 11th floor was spotless. The bed was comfortable, and the room had plenty of useful amenities, including a wardrobe, safe, mini fridge, and even storage space under the bed for luggage. The shower was excellent, with strong water pressure and consistently hot water.
One feature we really appreciated was the drinking water station on the 11th floor. It was very convenient for us, although guests staying on other floors might find it less convenient.
The hotel has two restaurants, one in the lobby and another on the 12th floor. Prices are a little on the high side, but we did buy sandwiches from the lobby restaurant and they were quite good.
There is also a complimentary shuttle bus to Tung Chung MTR Station and back to the hotel. It only runs once per hour, which can be a little limiting, but it is still a useful service. Alternatively, a taxi to Tung Chung and Citygate Outlets costs around HKD 70, where you will find plenty of restaurants, cafés, and shopping options.
The hotel also has a swimming pool and a gym. We did not use the gym, but the pool looked like a nice option for relaxing during the day or in the evening.
Overall, this is a clean, comfortable, and well-equipped hotel. I would definitely recommend it, especially for anyone attending an event at AsiaWorld-Expo.

After temporarily closing its doors to the old Mandarin Oriental just two streets away, Landmark's MO officially took over on June 1st, opening a new chapter for MO Hong Kong. As an MO fan, I was among the first to book and experience the L900 suite.
Public Areas | Arrival Lobby The most significant and captivating change is the completely redesigned hotel lobby. Entering immediately activates a ”noise reduction” mode, bringing a sense of tranquility. The lobby, concierge, and other functional areas are cleverly concealed within ingenious partitions, with a clear flow of movement. The lighting and art installations are combined in a lighter, more airy way, creating a bright and clean atmosphere.
Guest Rooms | L900 Suite The L900 suite I stayed in is the largest of its type, approximately 84 square meters (900 square feet), a rare find in the Central business district. The design language is ”homey residence,” featuring a fully partitioned layout with an entrance foyer, a bedroom on the left, a bathroom in front, and a living room on the right.
🪭The living room features primarily fabric furniture, with a tree-shaped art installation on the wall echoing the hotel's design theme. The well-stocked mini-bar in the corner is a boon for those who enjoy a drink [secretly observing R].
🪭The master bedroom continues the private residence design style, with a double walk-in closet that boasts an exquisite symmetrical beauty. However, I'm not entirely comfortable with the switch design; I still prefer the straightforward switch logic of the older Mandarin Oriental style.
🪭The bathroom is the highlight, featuring an oversized, round, deep soaking bathtub encased in frosted glass. However, the vanity is too cramped; even a toiletries bag can't be fully unfolded, which slightly detracts from the overall experience. The ”Whispers of the Fan” fragrance bath series, a collaboration with AMOUAGE starting in June, smells wonderful and perfectly matches MO's understated and restrained style.
Dining | Michelin Three-Star Amber I pre-booked the three-Michelin-starred French restaurant Amber, which has consistently ranked among the top restaurants in Hong Kong for its beautiful food for many years. The restaurant has also undergone a space upgrade and menu update, continuing its dual Michelin three-star + green star accolades.
🪭There are two sets to choose from: one is the ”Full Amber experiences” (which includes a visit to the kitchen and interaction with the chef), and the other is the five-course experience I selected, featuring an upgraded version of their signature ”Lobster Caviar.”
🪭Amber continues the French culinary philosophy of being dairy-free, low in sugar and salt, showcasing the natural flavors of ingredients through simple cooking techniques. The lobster caviar with seaweed crisps was absolutely amazing—rich in layers, refreshing, and not greasy at all.
Spa | As the hotel's Spa Studio is still under renovation, the entire team has moved from the old Mandarin Oriental. Currently, they are temporarily providing services in the guest rooms on the 8th floor. You need to confirm the time and services in advance. There are four basic services to choose from, but thankfully, the therapists are all from the old Mandarin Oriental.

This hotel is perfect for travelers catching an early flight the next day. It's just a few minutes' walk to the departure hall, and finding the hotel is easy with clear signs guiding you from the airport arrivals. However, the facilities are a bit old. The room only has UK-style power outlets, but you can borrow an adapter for free from the front desk. Overall, it's a good stay.

1. The room was better than I expected. I was a bit worried about the cleanliness at this price point in Hong Kong, but I felt much more at ease after arriving. The overall hygiene was good, and they even provided a wooden toothbrush, though I brought my own and didn't need it.
2. The front desk staff and the person handling luggage were very friendly. I locked my room card inside the room, and they helped me resolve it. They even gave me some chocolates afterwards.
3. The room is indeed much smaller compared to Guangzhou, so be prepared for that. However, I was only staying for one night, so it was acceptable.
4. The hotel's location is excellent, with convenient transportation. To get to the high-speed rail station, you can walk to Tsim Sha Tsui East Station and take the MTR to Austin. It's also very convenient for getting to Central or other places.
5. Areas for improvement:
- I kept pressing the elevator floor button with no response. It turns out you need to swipe your card first. I suggest they put up a sign with instructions.
- I thought there was no hairdryer, so I didn't wash my hair. Only the next day did I find it in a cabinet outside the bathroom. I suggest placing it in a more visible spot in the bathroom (e.g., above where the toiletries are).
My original booking was for 2 nights stay for superior room and I subsequently brought forward 1 more nights stay and have to book a superior suite.
I have to book to separate 1 night stay as the hotel refused to modify the dates saying it is their policy.
Upon arrival, I requested if I can stayed in the same room for 3 nights and the answer was I have to pay extra for upgrading the 2 nights from superior to superior suite. I told them their superior room Was not available when i booked and they said they have the room. If i choose to stay in superior room, no refund for my extra 1 night booking under the superior suite booking.
Aside from this, i have to check out of my suoerior suite and move to the uperior room. Again they said is their policy.
The services are really bad. Anything I asked they quoted is their policy. No flexibility at all. This is frustrating as this hotel is not the first time I stayed.
There were no complimentary water, tooth brush etc. I checked with the service counter and was told to purchase from the vending machine on the 5th floor. The last time I stayed in this hotel, basic stuff like any hotel were available.

The location is very convenient and the neighborhood is also great. Not too busy and there is some foot traffic late into the night which as a female solo traveler was great. I checked in late (around 1am) and there was someone available at the front desk. I didn't have to wait. I was upgraded to a room with a bigger bed which was appreciated. The room itself was clean and spacious enough. During check-in I was told that there is construction happening during the day and it can get loud. But I wasn't at the hotel during the day so didn't notice it. One of the most convenient things for me was that across the hotel there is a 24 hr self service laundromat. It has instructions in english and uses the octopus card for payment. So on the last day of my trip I was able to wash and dry my clothes before they got back in the suitcase. Overall I would recommend staying at this hotel!

Mixed review for an overnight stay:
- I booked a large room 25+ sq m to get proper space to work
- the room was clean and bathroom was clean
- the location is great walking distance to ferry to north point and Whampoa MTR station
- Lots of eateries and mall nearby walking distance
- the hotel has a strange policy of no tooth brush, no water in the room. For this price, this should be included and not optional. Environment is lame excuse give the extensive use of air conditioning and lighting everywhere and all the cars and taxis with engine on outside the hotel. Just saving on water bottle and toothbrush for environment is a lame excuse and. It consistent with the star rating.
- the staff are really rude - it seems HK people resent visitors and feel a grudge having to serve overseas visitors from mainland

Very convenient for transit passengers, the hotel provides free and excellent shuttle service to Hongkong airport. The rooms are adequate, clean, comfortable and comes with a mini fridge and coffee/tea.
I upgraded to an ocean view room which is well worth it.
This hotel is extremely busy since it caters to groups, many airline staff as well as transit passengers. However, it is very efficiently run. The staff are warm, polite and accommodating.
Absolutely great value for your money!

The hotel's location is excellent. It's only a 5-minute walk from Jordan MTR station, and you can reach Harbour City and the Star Ferry Pier in about 20 minutes on foot. There are also many great food options nearby. The room offers a fantastic view. The best part, though, were the staff at the baggage department – they were incredibly knowledgeable, always ready to answer any question, and extremely attentive and thoughtful.
Just a small suggestion: the hotel should consider providing a few shower stools for guests to use.

Bbb1979_2006I booked two adjoining double rooms. Though small, they had everything needed, and the hotel felt quite new and comfortable inside. It's located next to a highway, so there was some noise (rooms facing the small road on the opposite side would probably be quieter). I'd say the air conditioning unit was even louder. For breakfast, they offered one pastry and unlimited coffee refills. There was no bottled water in the room, and toiletries and slippers were not provided. It's about a 10-minute walk to Prince Edward MTR station. The value for money is much better than some of the older hotels.

LlamlllThe hotel is nestled at the foot of the mountain, offering a tranquil environment away from the hustle and bustle of areas near MTR stations. However, it's about a 20-minute walk to Central/Admiralty MTR stations, or a 6-7 minute taxi ride (around HKD 20-35). We were assigned a room on the 28th floor facing Central, and the view was absolutely stunning. We had a complete panoramic view of the Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens, the US Consulate, the Peak Tram Terminus, Government House, and even the distant Bank of China Tower, Standard Chartered Bank Building, and IFC.
The staff were all very warm, friendly, and accommodating. They even helped bring up our food deliveries to the room. The room cleanliness was excellent. The soundproofing, however, was average; we could hear louder noises from upstairs and next door. In the mornings, we could also hear the birds chirping from the Zoological and Botanical Gardens below. The bathroom didn't have a bathtub, but there was a kitchen available for cooking.
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel, especially if you're looking for something a bit more unique. Compared to 5-star and 4-star hotels near MTR stations, this place offers a really good stay.
WWangzixiaomanmanmantouFree upgrade to a premium room (with view): Very good, the city view was especially beautiful, and the front desk staff had excellent service.
Hotel shuttle bus service: Very convenient, it can reach many major tourist attractions.
Due to Hong Kong's plastic ban, free toothbrushes are not provided, but you can buy one for one dollar from a vending machine, so you don't need to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste. The hotel is right next to Happy Valley, and it's not too far to walk to Causeway Bay, so the overall location is very good.
RRejuvenatingThis hotel maintained excellent cleanliness standards. Reception was efficient and staff members were very polite. Shuttle bus service available to MTR. I found the facilities comfortable and the service reliable. It made my trip much more enjoyable and stress-free. Highly satisfied overall.

GGuest User1. **Super convenient transportation**
Right next to the subway station, so you don't have to worry whether you're catching an early train or coming back late at night – you can just walk to the subway. This saved a lot of commuting time and transportation costs.
2. **Vibrant local life, no shortage of food**
There are tons of local eateries, BBQ spots, and stir-fry places nearby, perfect for guests who want to experience authentic local food.
AAnonymous UserShangri-La's service and executive lounge food quality are consistently excellent, and this property is no exception. This was my first stay since the rooms were renovated, and I was very impressed. The staff across all departments were professional, kind, and efficient. The executive lounge offered a great variety of food and drinks, and breakfast had many options. I didn't get a chance to use the gym this time, but I'll definitely try it next time.
MMirenrenI was very happy with the room; it was clean and quite spacious for a Hong Kong hotel. The gentleman with glasses at the front desk who checked me in (I didn't catch his name) provided excellent service. My room wasn't ready yet, but he managed to find me one that met my requests, which was great. The breakfast was decent and matched the room rate, so no complaints there. The hotel's location is perfect; it's so convenient for getting around, and there are tons of restaurants right downstairs. I highly recommend Xue Ji Li Ji and Lu Ba E; we ate at both for two consecutive days! We also tried the exciting Dutch Trail hike nearby, which my husband and I really enjoyed – it was full of wilderness charm. I'd recommend it to fellow hikers; just wear appropriate athletic gear, sun protection, insect repellent, and bring plenty of water. I'll definitely book the Hopewell Hotel again on my next visit to Hong Kong.
AAnonymous UserThe room, while small, is incredibly compact and functional. Despite its size, it genuinely offers the service quality of a five-star hotel. Room service is exceptionally friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The front desk provides adapter plugs and umbrella lending services.
