Golden Tulip Cannes Hotel de Paris

If this hotel was rated as a very good 3* hotel and therefore guest expectations were that of a 3* you'd likely be very happy. Having stayed in dozens of 4* hotels all over, this one doesn't quite match up. We are perfectly aware Cannes is not a cheap area and felt we did take this into account but it still felt expensive for what it is. The staff were very pleasant and did rectify the small issue of us having no shower curtain upon check-in, which meant water was literally flooding the bathroom when we took a shower. The rooms are perfectly clean although very small. The pool area was lovely although do note that the road noise means it is fine for a few days but probably not for a longer relaxing holiday. The sunbeds look nice but aren't adjustable therefore aren't particularly comfortable! Thankfully there are a few very comfy chairs around the pool which we took advantage of. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that but we did enjoy visiting the local bakery each morning for a coffee and food (would recommend this). All in all, we had a very pleasant stay and the location is excellent, it just didn't quite live up to the standards we've experienced elsewhere.
Hotel Indigo Cagnes-Sur-Mer

The room is relatively large for Europe and has a large balcony. Very clean and tidy. The waiter's attitude is also very good. Water is delivered every day, which is also rare in France. Even if there are mosquitoes, the waiter doesn't know what to do. There seems to be no such thing as mosquito coils in France. The breakfast is also good, standard for a four-star hotel. The facilities are relatively new. After all, the hotel was opened in 2021 and is larger than the hotels in Paris. The overall feeling is good. There is also a convenience store next to it, as well as a barbecue. Very close to the town's flea market and other shops. It felt very safe too. 14 minutes walk to the train station.
Radisson Blu Hotel, Marseille Vieux Port

Vieux Port - La Canebière
The breakfast is delicious, the location is very good, the service is very good, there is free refreshments, apples can be taken, and the pier is just a few minutes walk. There are many shops nearby, and places to eat, and it is also close to Shanghai Kitchen and Dahua Hotel. This is very cost-effective, because Ridisson members have no way to set points in Ctrip.
Hôtel Victoria

Very well located for access to the promenade and shops, and about a 10 minute walk to the train station so easily able to do day trips to Monaco and Nice. The comfortable room felt clean and spacious: being on the first floor, the balcony overlooked the garden and was a peaceful retreat whilst trying to spot green parakeets in the nearby trees. The room had a small fridge which was useful to store fresh milk that we bought in nearby shops. All the staff were friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed sampling wine from the hotel’s vineyard that was offered in the evenings. Didn’t use the pool, which could be good for cooling off in during hotter months but not big enough for swimming lengths. We would certainly wish to stay here again if we were back in Cannes.

Vieux Port - La Canebière
This was a lovely hotel to stay at. I booked a room with a large terrace overlooking the port and the view was fantastic. I could have sat all day watching the boats coming in and out of the harbor. The room was spacious and well kept. The employees were very nice and helpful even as I practiced my French on them. The breakfast was quite special. It is served in a beautiful , light-filled room, again, with views of the port. You could sit inside or outside and the weather was beautiful while I was there in early June. The breakfast had many many choices, breads of all kinds, hot choices (such as bacon, eggs, sausages, petite potatoes, vegetables), cold cuts, many cheeses, several dessert options also. Really nice. I would highly recommend this hotel and wish I had stayed longer.
Aparthotel Adagio Marseille Timone

The staff at the front desk of the hotel are very friendly, and the check-in and check-out speed is also very fast. The location is good, and it is less than ten minutes' walk from the subway station in the picture. The room is also very clean, suitable in size and has a private bathroom. The best thing is that there is an open kitchen in the room, and the tableware is also very complete.
Chateau Eza

Ranked among the top five most romantic hotels in the world. There is nothing to say about the location. Check in at the restaurant directly facing the sea and the mountain, you can write novels and write about the feelings of that time. Beauty, freedom, relaxation, all breathing is oxygen. I booked a suite, the room is very large, upstairs and downstairs, the hall downstairs is basically unused, two toilets, the scenery is good. The location of the hotel is unmatched, along the way, woody Allen movie feeling. There are three restaurants on the way, the cafe can drink something to eat. In short, the mood of a day is basically so good that it explodes. Everywhere is the scenery. There is a small gallery on the road, about 2,000 Euros. Various other gadgets. Won't be disappointed. Because it's really beautiful and dreamy
Hotel de l'Horloge Avignon

Avignon City Center
The location was perfect - situated right next to City Hall. The staff was friendly, and we really appreciate the bottle of rose and olive oil as presents to celebrate our anniversary. The room size was petite, but it is on par with the hotel rooms we stayed in France, although the bathroom here was pretty large. There was a bit of a miscommunication with our to-go breakfast, but it got resolved quickly.
Novotel Suites Nice Airport

Nice French Riviera Airport
We intended to only stay here for its proximity to the airport, as we would be taking a flight to Rome the next day. It also was right next door to Nice’s botanical garden and it’s miniscule Asian museum which we could visit right after we checked in. Unfortunately, that one day expanded to seven because we had everything stolen out of our car ( by gypsies, per the Carabinieri) by the Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi, including my wife’s portable oxygen concentrator, which we were unable to replace in time to get on the plane to Rome ( airlines will not allow you to fly without one after you have had a doctor certify that you need to use it while flying on the plane ). So instead of spending the next 12 days or so seeing Caserta, Naples, Capri and the Amalfi Coast, etc., we spent more than half of that time just trying to still find a place to purchase a replacement concentrator. It did give us more time to see what this hotel was about. We had two somewhat different rooms, as we kept on extending our stay one or two days at a time and eventually had to switch because the room was booked by someone else. Both rooms had an almost college dorm feel, but that wasn’t bad, just a little minimalist. We got a larger room and it was plenty big, which we needed. It was reasonably bright, with big windows. The bed was a good size and comfortable. The bathroom was also fairly big and the shower worked well. The second room was very similar, but a little smaller, yet still perfectly adequate for our needs. The TV was a decent size and quality in both rooms. The hotel was newish and in good shape. The staff was young, competent and professional. Mostly friendly, with one jarring episode that temporarily left a bad taste in our mouths. The next day he was fine. Sometimes, you just catch someone at their worst. The location is great for the airport, less so to see the tourist sites. You can take the tram which stops frequently very close to the hotel is cheap and takes maybe 10 minutes to go downtown. A taxi will cost 12-15 euros. What’s the bottom line? It was a perfectly fine stay. No major defects. Certainly if you need a place a to stay overnight before taking a flight out of the airport, this should suit your needs, particularly the large rooms for families, who might enjoy the breakfast ( we did not indulge – we are cheap ). I would probably stay at the Hotel Cote D’Azur, which was better situated for tourism purposes. Just a quick word about Nice. While Nice has a number of places to see, none are overwhelming, including the very good, but much smaller Chagall museum. In fact, the cathedral, the Matisse museum, and the Musée du Palais Lascaris are actually underwhelming. Yet I highly recommend visiting Nice, as it is one of the most pleasant and relaxing places we have ever visited. The walk along the water and the views from up high are lovely. There are tons of restaurants and more supermarkets and markets than I found in Rome. They have excellent pu
B&B Hotel Hyeres

Functional and inhuman hotek but you should not expect to sleep if you are on the road side. The rooms give outdoors onto a very busy intersection with traffic, even in the middle of the night. Fortunately I had earplugs, but even then it was pretty loud.
