An excellent place for a short stay. Clean, modern and chic impressing two discerning teenagers. Stayed in a top floor ensuite family room (with efficient air conditioning), facing the road with a small balcony. Good double glazing meant no traffic noise. We were there 2 nights and the room was tidied and serviced during our stay - a bonus which we didn't expect. All staff especially at reception were polite and very helpful. Good variety at continental breakfast buffet available from 8 to 11, suitable for early birds and late risers. Were able to leave luggage secuely free of charge when we checked out of room but had an evening flight. Only very minor quibble was the automatic light in the toilet that came on when you used it in the middle of the night, which woke others. Never worked out if you could disable it. Would definitely stay there again and am already recommending it to others.

Very cool and funky hotel in a great area. Location: center city. Very convenient to many of the sites, metro, shopping (high end), hop on/ hop off bus, nice restaurants, etc Hotel overall: just COOL with a very laid back, fun vibe. Daily free yoga classes. Free walking tour. Amazing breakfast. Staff is very helpful and accommodating. No language issues. Decor is fabulous and eclectic. Excellent use of old and new. Elevators from the last century. Circular staircases surround the elevators. Yoga studio with colorful, comfortable pillows. Tile floors. Lots of shared/common areas including library, study, terrace (great sitting area for cards and a glass of wine), communal kitchen with fridges, micro, plates, glasses, flatware... The room: we got a double with ensuite bath. The room was TINY and dark. Had a bed and an open ”warerobe” with a rod and couple of shelves and that was it. One window with drapes looking out over a small, dark inner courtyard type square. Not even bedside tables. The bath was tiny and the shower floor was ceramic and treacherous when wet. No grab bars, so be had to be very careful. The room was quite off putting at first, but once you ”let it go”, it sort of fit with the experience. It made us socialize more and enjoy the common areas. Met a couple of interesting people... No TV -- anywhere, including common areas. At first it was strange, but we ended up enjoying the break from the noise -- it fits with the Casa vibe. Price/rate: very reasonable, @$100us per night plus tax.

Lovely place, affordable. The staff was very friendly and supportive. There was a mistake in my booking but when I arrived the night staff was very supportive and solved the problem. Even the security guy was very nice and humble. Overall the place was lovely, affordable and was at a great location. The lounge are was perfect to chill, the kitchen was big enough for all the guest to use. Would definitely stay again when I travel next and would highly recommend to all.

Wouldn’t recommend booking this hotel at all. Doesn’t matter what you actually book for, once you get to the hotel they will change it after you’ve paid without telling you and refuse a refund even though they haven’t offered the booking that you had booked and paid for! Both me and my friend were supposed to be staying in a private room which we had paid extra for however on arrival they had decided to give the booking to someone else but never mentioned doing this till after they had taken our money! Staff are rude and highly unhelpful! Would not recommend staying here ever again!

We arrived for Christmas weekend with husband and a little child, took a room with Terrace, we had a room 1 on the first floor, just behind the receptacle. The terrace is not big, just a table on the street, fenced with 3 walls, in general only in summer time. The room is not big, your bathroom, there is a TV, a fan, a shampoo and a shower gel. On the recepshion teapot, glasses and tea in free access. From hostel 10 minutes to subway. Neighbors we didn't hear, it was quite quiet. For the host, for such a amount it is an excellent option

This was the cheapest option when we went to Barcelona so we weren't expecting much. It's actually pretty good. It's more of a budget hotel than a hostel, you'd see people from different age groups. During breakfast you'd see old people as well as children. So if you're looking for a party hostel this isn't the place. There's a bar downstairs though and it's quite easy to meet people there if you're traveling alone. The area is great too, close to the metro station and a number of attractions. lots of places to eat nearby. there's a mini mart just across the street. Facilities were great, rooms were kept clean. Wifi was good. The buffet breakfast was pretty good too and i'd say it's fairly priced. There are washers and dryers in the basement if you need to do your laundry, you just need coins to operate em. If you don't have coins you could easily get some at the reception. Which brings me to the only complaint i'm going to make. At night there's frequently a long line at the reception. The hostel needs to hire more people to man the reception at night.

Firstly, the location of this hostel is excellently located just a block away from Diagonal Metro Station where three metro lines converge which made it really easy to travel with the metro. The dorm that I stayed in was a mixed one and was quite cramped, but what the heck - you only sleep there. Every bed had a curtain that could be closed to get some personal space which was great, so once getting into bed it felt quite spacious. The room had A/C and the bed had a small shelf with a bed lamp and an A/C-outlet. When I checked in the bed was already made which I believe is quite unusual at hostels and that made a good first impression. The common areas consisted of a quite large room for meeting new friends an an even bigger outdoor terrace. There is also a common kitchen and a fridge that can be used. This is probably the best cleaned hostel I've ever stayed at and the desk was manned 24/7 which is a great thing if you need help to order a taxi to the airport (I had an early flight so the Metro was not an option). Everyone at the desk speaks great English and were all very helpful.

I stayed 5 nights in the accommodation and the truth that was all very pleasant. The staff boys all with the best of the waves always and available for any doubt I had. I highlight the work of Ceci, Diogo, Alan, Sofi and Geri. The hotel is very comfortable and the common rooms of the best of the Hostel. The only point in the way of ” complain” is that my goal at the Hostel was to meet people, within all my age and just throughout my stay there was a trip of primary and secondary children, who occupied all the rooms of the hotel.

Outstanding
GGuest UserIt's okay. It's very loud until late at night, showers aren't exactly clean in the evening. Most annoying thing is you have to pay for a lock (5€!!!) if you don't have one with you and you want to lock your stuff in your room. You also have to pay for a time locker if you want to leave your bag with them after checkout. Cheap.
The best thing about this place is the location. It's close to everything, so if you want to party or you don't mind the noise this place is good.

GGuest UserI stayed at Sant Jordi for 6 nights in the beginning of July. It was my first time staying at a hostel and I had a great experience. The hostel was very well run and clean. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, especially the Argentinian girl who checked me in and the night time guy from Morocco. They will help if you have questions about day trips or activities in the city or surrounding countryside. The hostel is also in a very good location, where you can easily walk to the Gothic Quarter in 20 minutes. Getting to the beach or some other locations may require the metro. The hostel is definitely geared towards a younger crowd. They have happy hours and bar crawls every night. If you are looking to party and experience the nightlife in Barcelona, this is definitely a hostel you should stay at. The hostel has air conditioning, which is a must during the summer, but you might have to ask the front desk to turn it up.
GGuest UserRoom was tidy, roommates respectful, the bed was comfortable and had its privacy. There was plenty of storage and hooks which I appreciated. The staff was really nice and helpful. Would stay there if I’m ever in Barcelona again.
DDaniel069Hip Karma Hostel exceeded all my expectations. As a solo traveler, I felt instantly at home in this vibrant, welcoming space. The modern facilities are top-notch - from the spotless bathrooms to the well-equipped kitchen. I loved lounging in the cozy common area and chatting with fellow travelers. The rooftop terrace offered stunning views, perfect for sunset drinks. The staff went above and beyond, offering great local tips. This hostel truly embodies the spirit of Spain - lively, warm, and unforgettable!

GGuest UserI am a solo female traveler, came to stay in this hostel for 4 nights. This was my first experience staying in a hostel and it went definitely amazing thanks to Factory Hostel and it’s amazing stuff. Everyone working here is so friendly, they always smile and help you in the best possible way (Special thanks to Maria Laura). All receptionists are fluent in Spanish and English. They all have been truly lovely. They do cleaning everyday, they serve delicious cake and coffee around 2 EUR. People that stay here is also nice and friendly, you can have good friendships if you would like to. Beds and pillows are pretty comfortable, curtains give you a little privacy which is nice, they give you considerably big cabinet to lock your belongings, air conditioning working 7/24, they have a cute kitchen and lounge areas to enjoy the stay. It is very close to Park Güell, a little far from beach and center but there is always public transportation that you can use, takes about 30-45 mins to go wherever you want (including walking to stops). I would %100 recommend and if I ever come back to Barcelona would definitely stay here again!

Location
Not so bad near the Arc de Triomphe.
staff
It's not bad feeling as usual. It's not good to pick up but it's normal.
Equipment and amenities
The inside is spacious and has a lot of space.
Simple decor.
I don't think it's dirty, but it's specially beautiful! Does not.
Normal cleanliness.
If price is important, we are satisfied.
But since I was late check-in after 22:00, an extra 10 € was taken.
I thought this was expensive.
There is a sofa and a table in the common space so you can relax.
not bad.
Towels are charged.
OK if you don't arrive late at night because of the price.
GGuest UserRooms: In our rooms, we had bunk beds, which were hard to get on and off, so you have to be very careful. The air-conditioning can not be altered, meaning the temperature is either hot or cold, not in between. When someone has had a shower, a wet patch appears on the floor and is kept damp for a while. Bathrooms: The bathroom has an automatic light, meaning when you're in the shower, it turns off. You can turn it back on by slightly opening the door, but it doesn't long. The shower is operated by button, so you do have to keep pressing it. Service: Not all rooms get a tag that they can put on their door to deny door service, meaning that they can just enter your room. With this, all of us had at least one item of food stolen, whether it was open or not. They emptied the rubbish bin in the bathroom and left items that were clearly rubbish on the floor. Apart from this, breakfast in the morning was nice and they staff were polite and tried their best with English. Location: The views of the hotel are lovely and you can see the sea from the rooms. From the hotel you can walk to the beach which is approximately a mile, there is a mall nearby either public transport available in the form of busses and the metro. There are little shops nearby where you can purchase drinks and snacks and the people are lovely.
“Ideal” in name, but NOT in reality. We spent four nights there, in three different rooms, because the hostel was so ridiculously overbooked. We kept finding ourselves locked out of our room, only to hear from the INCREDIBLY unhelpful and unsympathetic staff that our booking did not exist. We were moved from our all female dorm to a mixed dorm without being informed, and it took us asking to clarify that our dorm was female for them to tell us it was not. We had originally booked an all female dorm, and felt uncomfortable in the mixed, so we were moved yet again. Beyond all of these booking confusions, the Ideal Youth Hostel is not ideal for meeting other youths. First of all, the median age of folks in the hostel was at LEAST 45. The hostel also does not organize any group meetings or excursions, and the common areas are dark, grimy, empty, and unpleasant. While there is a kitchen, it is locked all the time, and you practically have to fight with the receptionists to get a fork. The hostel IS well located for exploring the city, but I’d take a few extra minutes of walking or a metro stop or two over staying in the massively touristy Ramblas anyways. Whatever you do, don’t spend your money on this hostel.
RriudellunaThe experience in general it’s okay. We have some problems with the water at the bathrooms and they fixed it very quickly. The kitchen it’s too close and they don’t have many tools so it’s hard to try to cook. You have to know that location it’s too far of main attractions of the city but at least you have a bus stop really close of the hostel. In general it’s like 3.5/5
