Nice room. There is a pool and gym. If you are driving, you can email hotel with car plate to reserve a car park. 4 EV charging parking space is available. Tricky to find the car park though, so entrance on Station Rd. Shopping area across the street. Find the Picnic cafe, they bakery and coffee is great.

I know i will arrive London Heathrow late. So I tried to choose a hotel not far from airport to crash out a night before heading to London. I choose Holiday Inn Slough Windsor because I think instead of stay in airport hotel, at least I can go take a look at Windsor castle in the morning - there is no much different between 20 minutes Uber and 12 minutes to most of the airport hotel near Heathrow Airport. In fact I arrived 4 hours later than I should be - checking in after midnight...very smooth. As I am Platinum member of IHG member , I was pre-assigned executive room on 8th floor. Looking inside room, I have to say this room is better than my expectation of Holiday Inn: with Lavazza Coffee Machine, with slipper and all necessary amenities. In the morning I called a Uber to Windsor Castle just take a look. It cost between 7 - 9 pounds one way, about 8 minutes. Hotel to Slough Station, another 8 pound, about 6 minutes. Slough Station to Paddington, 10.8 pounds on GWR , 18 minutes. Overall the 2 hotel staffs I met, all very kind and friendly, everything is very smooth, everything works. It is by far better than a convenient hotel only , it is a very decent hotel and especially if you drive , there is ample car park, and good value to visit London and nearby area.

Upon arriving at the hotel i was quickly checked in and upgraded to a better room on a high floor with a view. The hotel is located on London Road and there are regular buses to and from Heathrow airport. I have also have full buffet breakfast included in my booking and there is a bar and restaurant in the hotel. Great value for money and convenient location for Heathrow airport.

The good part: Staff are very friendly although check-in seems to take a little longer than Premier Inn, the reception area and seating to relax looks fantastic and the pizzas that the staff make 24/7 are absolutely delicious. The drink & pizza prices are reasonable. Location wise is spot on, just a two minute walk from the train station and central to everything. They provide more variety of tea & coffee in rooms, such as fruit & herbal teas, and decaff coffee, this totally beats any other budget hotel. Bad points: This is a cashless hotel & this is something i'm firmly against for a variety of reasons they lost £200 in sales due to this from myself & friends. The pillows are rock hard and kept waking up with a sore neck, the beds are also uncomfortable and feels like your sleeping on the floor. The noise from housekeeping is absolutely atrocious all you hear from several floors above and below, are the staff dragging large heavy trollies around and this goes on from 11am to 4pm if you need to sleep during the day forget it. The toilets smell of sewage & urine so sometimes you return back to your room and it stinks. There is also construction work ongoing Monday-Friday until Nov 2022 yet the prices are still very high. The cooling systems seem to work fine for an hour or so but then quickly the room becomes stuffy and warm, due to the location having the window open is very noisy especially at weekends.

This was a great hotel, we used it for an overnight stay after a long-haul flight. Room was good, beds OK and generally a well-appointed room. Only issue was that there was only two sachets of decaffeinated coffee in the room, I asked at reception for more ad was told it would be sent up. Two hours later it had not arrived and i had to ring ”housekeeping ” to get it delivered. It did eventually arrive. Why do hotels not put out enough decaffeinated coffee sachets, it is our experience that we always have to ask for more!!!

The hotel appears to be aiming for a high end of the market, so we were surprised by the poor training of some of the staff. The chap behind the bar on the two evenings we were there was really nice, but oh my goodness he was so slow. Each time we ordered a drink we had to tell him two or three times what we wanted. They didn't have the wine I wanted, but instead of handing me a list of their wines or telling me what wines they have, he just looked blankly at me and waited for me to ask if he had a certain wine. When he had poured the drinks he never told us how much they were, he just got the card machine out (they don't take cash) and we paid. We had to ask for the card machine receipt, but never gave us a till receipt so we still have no idea how much each individual drink cost. By the way the drinks are really expensive. The first night we had a pint of larger and a large white wine which came to £15.30p and the next night two large glasses of wine (one red, one white) which came to £23.50p. At no time during our stay were we offered a till receipt. We were shocked by the half pint and pint glasses given to customers (even ladies) which were the old fashioned ones with handles, which we hadn't seen for many years. Some ladies were struggling to drink from them. I really think the hotel should reconsider this and at least offer ladies a tall glass. The same chap was on his own behind the bar for both nights, but at no point did any other member of staff come to help him, especially when quite a bit queue had formed (because he was so slow), even though there were plenty of staff in the area. The waiting staff were friendly and polite, but again lacked a bit of guidance and training. One of the young waiters was wiping a table while the plates etc were still on the table. We wanted a table that people had just left and he kindly said he would clear the table for us and re-set it. He did re-set it, but didn't wipe it over and left the jug of water from the previous people. It is a large hotel and there were two coach trips booked in as well as quite a few other guests, so it was quite busy on both evenings. Having said this the hotel rooms were lovely and we enjoyed our stay. Our room was on the first floor which was nice and quiet. Rooms were extremely clean and tidy and well maintained. We were on a coach trip, so not in the hotel much of the time during the day. A few tweaks and this could be a really top notch hotel. Top tip: if the bar prices put you off, pop round to the local shop (turn left out of the main entrance of the hotel, turn right at the end of the road and there are a couple of shops up there and a cafe). You can buy drink there to put in the fridge in your room. Also, ice machine on the first floor by the lifts

the second i checked in got a very warm welcome from Safia and Prachi which made me feel very happy and is clear that the staff care about their jobs, even though the staff where polite the food was undercooked on multiple occasions during my stay which had also made vomit, i personally think the managers should be more on top of food quality.

We have been staying at the Sure Hotel In Reading since March,we stay between 4 and 5 days a week. Katy and all her Colleagues work very hard to make your stay comfortable and pleasant, nothing is too much trouble. We stay in rooms with kitchenettes as I can make easy meals for when my husband comes back from work ,which is only 10 minutes drive the main reason we stay here. All the rooms have kettles fridges microwave and crockery,YOU DO NOT FIND THIS IN ANY OTHER HOTEL!! It makes our long stays much more affordable, and there is also free parking in the very large car park. The hotel is spread over 3 buildings ,so plenty of choice in different rooms and prices. Always clean linen,fluffy towels etc, some beds are different to others, so before writing negative reviews maybe ring and give your preference of what you expect and Katy and her team will do there very best to accommodate you. The bus stop is right outside the hotel on both sides of the street and it takes about 20 to 25 minutes to walk to town buses stop in various places and also right outside the train station,extremely convenient if you are traveling on with luggage. There are fans and heating in all rooms and irons and ironing boards in some rooms, if you need one it will be brought to your room. There is a launderette round the corner and many eating places around the hotel, at which some you can get a discount with you room key card, And lastly how many hotels allow you to eat your own food In there dining room!! Not many I think!!. The breakfasts always looks and smells delicious and they also have a small menu at night for guests who don't want to eat out or have takeaway. All in all,remember this is a budget hotel with many good extras ,and the best extra is the fantastic service and friendliness you recieve from everyone that works here including the hard working Housekeeping ladies and gents,always have a smile and a nice Hello in a morning when I see them starting there shifts,and I do enjoy my Chats with Katy and others on reception when they manage to have a minute or two spare,. Choose the hotel basically as it looked good on the photos and it was nice when I got there, location wise its not the best, it basically feels like you're on an industrial estate. Rooms and air-con all nice in the few weeks i stayed, restaurant food was OK did expect better and the menu choice was limited. But sleeping well is the most important thing for me and I didn't hear anything from other guests whilst there, which for a light sleeper is great and probably the best I'd slept away from home in a good while. If there is a soccerball game on then they seem to shut the restaurant early unless that was just a one off and expect plenty of fans to be in and around the hotel. Whacked the prices up so doubt I will stay again, moved to the Donnington Valley hotel near Newbury which is very nice

UK team meeting hosted at the hotel for 3 days. Excellent service, and a terrific location. Our visitors from abroad loved the views of the river. Facilities were top notch, and particularly noted that we had none of the usual connectivity issues when speaking to team members worldwide. A number of the team stayed at the hotel and I’ve had very favour feedback.Special thanks to Isabel, Federica and general manager Anne for looking after us for the week.

Really helpful staff. Let us securely leave travel case before check-in time. Contacted us early (1PM) to let us have our apartment before the 3PM check-in. Apartment really is home from home! Fully kitted out kitchen. Modern furnishing, decoration and really clean. The apartments really our sound proofed and internally very quiet. Quiet complex and lift or stairs to aid access to apartments. Nice, warm and secure. Reception is hosted and even late at night you have an access code. The lovely lady on reception even said can call her if we could not gain entry! Perfect location - 2 minute walk to Oracle (shops) bars and restaurants. Even Sainsbury's is close so you can cook a meal in the kitchen. We guess the only thing to be aware is the complex is in a vibrant area and externally until 0200/0300 it is noisy so an earlyish night is not easy but this aside, well worth a stay.

Perfect for me as it’s right across from the office but probably not so great if you wanted to be in the city centre although it’s only an £8 taxi ride or £2 bus ride. Opposite a Beefeater which was handy but I would prefer an on-site bar and restaurant. Felt a bit uncomfortable on check-in to be asked if I was a smoker (I’m not) and if anyone would be joining me later 😳. Didn’t like the bed being made up with sheets, blanket and counter pane as it’s quite uncomfortable particularly on one of the hottest days of the year although the mobile air conditioning unit helped (first time I’ve had sheets and blankets for over 30 years since the day I got married despite extensive business (weekly) and leisure travel (4-6 times a year)). Hotel was very clean and the bathroom was well equipped. A bottle of water would have been a welcome addition to the room particularly in such hot weather. Not sure who to recommend the hotel to as it’s neither a corporate hotel with all the amenities or a home from home. Breakfast was on offer for an additional £15 and I decided to wait until I checked in to see. As I wanted to be in the office for 8am and there was no menu available, times of service or visibility of a dining room, other facilities or even other guests, I decided it may be too intimate and opted for a cold sandwich I had stored in the office fridge ‘just in case’. Was similarly priced to the executive room I had in the Novotel last week which had a full buffet breakfast included.

I booked this hotel because its close to Legoland and we just wanted somewhere to relax after an exhausting day out. This hotel exceeded our expectations, so much so that we extended our stay. The staff were lovely, rooms were clean and comfortable and the food was delicious. I recommend going for the Lego Buffet in the evening, its worth every penny. Everyone on reception was friendly and welcoming but a special mention must go to Melwyn, Food & Beverage Manager. Clearly a professional in his role and an asset to the hotel. He made sure we were looked after during all meals and always came over to say hello. He truly went above and beyond. Thank you all for a lovely stay.

It was an excellent stay, I visited with my family, during a family wedding & stayed at the amoxy slough. The hotel was immaculate cleaned, service was 2nd to none. The staff were brilliant Agnelo couldn't do enough to make your stay comfortable & enjoyable. Daljeet was a fabulous very attentive & helpful & what a delightful lady. Last but not least Laura was very obliging & helpful during checkout. Would always try to lookout & stay at the amoxy, after experiencing a wonderful stay comfortable & luxurious, very clean & tidy with great amenities.

I have stayed many times at the Residence Inn Slough with my most recent stay being for over two months. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and perfect for long stays. There is a large open plan area on the top floor to relax or do some work during the day and they have recently opened a restaurant in the evenings with a decent food menu. All this is in addition to having full access to the Moxy hotel bar and restaurant on the ground floor with a standard drinks menu and food. The staff are absolutely brilliant…couldn’t be more friendly if they tried. Staying for over two months my own experience and my observations, it doesn’t matter if you’re staying one night or 80 nights - the staff take the time to interact with and get to know every guest. Thanks very much to Chris, Angel, Brice, Harry, Jess and every member of their team for their hospitality….i’ll definitely be back.

This hotel has such friendly informative and attentive staff which are all a credit to their Employers . JULIAN went extra mile to share his obvious love for his role and his knowledge of local wildlife should be put to better use. The location is surrounded by beautiful animals such as deer and birds such as kites herons parquetts and chiff chaff.Its a shame the hotel do not promote his ideal location and wealth of wildlife such as walking trails and knowledge boards because they really are missing a trick especially for family's with young children. I am sure local RSVP Could help them with this along with walking clubs etc. Just a mention to restaurant staff at night food great well balanced and priced really well. Overall a fantastic stay.

I really got screwed with this booking. My flight was canceled, and I was a bit desperate for a place to stay overnight. ”Bianca's Hotel” was quite a bit cheaper than the places closer to the airport. So I booked it and took a taxi there. But the taxi driver couldn't find the place. We were in a residential neighborhood, not anywhere that you might expect to find a hotel. So I called the property, and the guy told me to get out at #1 Torridge Road and walk to #19, which seemed really weird. I asked him if there was a sign, and he said no. I mean, what kind of a hotel requires that you walk down a dark residential street looking for a place with no sign? When I said that I wasn't comfortable doing that, he suggested that I just cancel, and mentioned that he could get 500 GPB for the room (I had paid ~200). I was pretty sketched out at this point, so I just cancelled and went back to the airport. Later on, I tried to get a refund, and he refused. He also blocked my calls and marked me as a no-show. So now I'm out the 200 GBP for this ”hotel” plus the 60 GBP for the taxi there and back. And after all of that, I ended up just staying overnight at the airport. This place seems really scammy.

Stayed here Friday and Saturday night for Newbury races so very convenient being 2 miles from racecourse and right in town for the evenings. We also chose the hotel for breakfast and free parking- no complaints. Breakfast ran until 10am. The room was spacious and clean although outdated but it was good enough for our stay. We had a rubbish first night sleep as we were on the Oxford road side and the car sounds feel non stop, also closing of the pubs time is very noisy. We were then woken up very early by the light, the curtains don’t even cover the windows. They need double glazing and blinds! Pretty similar second night sleep so was looking forward to coming home to my own bed which is a shame. The floor was so creaky we were woken up numerous times by other people in the building especially from upstairs. The bathroom door had to be slammed to close so that would of been heard by neighbours. Our room was not serviced on the Saturday although we placed the sign on the door and cleaners were on the level as we left. We were out from the morning for over 7 hours. This was a shame as would of liked water and tea/milk replenished and clean mugs. Check out the red lion pub for some Mexican food, it’s unreal and unexpected! 5 min walk.

We have been to this hotel before, but this time we saw a sign saying that swimming will incur £5 pp charge. I was gutted that I was not advised, as the receptionist said this new policy took place 2 weeks ago. BUT, when we went to the pool, the clerk told us that if you booked from a different provider (trip.com etc) you have a complimentary pass to the pool. If only we knew the first day. But really happy overall.

In order to take the children to the nearby school for an interview, stayed for one night, so there is not much demand for the hotel. The facilities in the room are general, the beds are put together, not very comfortable, the health is OK, the breakfast is too poor, the overall feeling is not acceptable for the holiday! The decoration at the front desk is ok, warm and elegant!

We enjoyed The Lodge, it is a very different location and feel. Based next door to the Premium racecourse at Newbury with the jockeys medical room and the various management offices including the stewards and Jockey club, and the empty stables. Opposite us was a couple of very impressive stands, and very upmarket hospitality suites. In spite of this we had a very quiet nights sleep. Our room was warm - there is no aircon. The room is just very user friendly and has a bathroom with shower, but the double bed is large and comfortable. Good breakfast and extremely helpful front desk staff.

Had a lovely lunch at Donnington Valley Hotel on 14th May. Can highly recommend the Burrata, Plum Tomato Salad, Basil, Breads sharing starter The roast beef was lovely (although my husbands was very fatty, but I think that’s just the luck of the drawer with how the meat is served) there were plenty of fresh seasonal vegetables, that came in a separate bowl and steaming hot which was great. Dessert was amazing, highly recommend the Lemon Tart and raspberry sorbet, it was delicious. Waiting staff were super attentive. Thank you very much.

I stayed in room No. 5, The Jack of Newbury for 2 nights in December. The night before and night of my wedding. The room is a studio with a gorgeous deep copper bath in the room. The hotel and restaurant/pub itself is stunning. It felt so clean, modern with a country/vintage style decor. It was beautiful. It definitely has been refurbished to a very high standard with a fantastic interior designer. The room felt very luxurious. However, there were a couple of items missing which impacted on my stay and may be why the hotel has not yet reached 5 stars, particularly as I was getting ready for my wedding. I mentioned at the time of booking and before my stay that this was a wedding booking, however there was no full length mirror in the room at all. Luckily the room next door was vacant and the door was open so I was able to pop in and out to check my wedding dress etc. but really, every single room in the hotel should have a full length mirror, that’s just basic really. I did ask reception if they could provide one or help in some way and they said they’d look into it but I never heard back. I was just thankful the room next door was empty otherwise I’d be turning up to my wedding without knowing what I looked like! I was also situated on the highest floor and getting down the very narrow and steep stairs in my dress was a scary challenge!! In the bathroom of my room, there was no towel radiator or toilet roll holder. The thermostat was also tricky to navigate and myself and neighbour on the first night both had to sleep with the windows open as the room was so hot but as I was on a main road the room was extremely loud so my sleep over all was not fantastic but in all fairness to the hotel my nerves and excitement also contributed to the lack of sleep. These are all things which hopefully can be easily rectified to improve stays in the future, The breakfast and dinner at the Hare & Hounds was delicious and all of the waiting staff were so friendly and helpful. Although, worth noting that I did request my breakfast to come without sausages but my plate came out with sausages- although this was not a massive issue to me so I decided not to make a comment on this on the day as not the end of the world but worth making a note of on here. Overall, a gorgeous hotel/pub/restaurant and if these issues were fixed/improved/made good, I would love to return again in the future. The missing details do let the refurbishment down I’m afraid and the mirror did play a big issue in me getting ready so it is only a 3/5 for me on this occasion! :(

Was traveling down from Scotland to Southampton, and needed somewhere to spend the night. In the past I have usually spent the night in the Warwick/Oxford area, but on this occasion I wanted to be a bit further south. Most places were coming back at £100 a night for a single hotel room, but was able to find the Crown & Horns at a not to bad rate. Conveniently located off the road to Southampton, I had no problem finding it. Lovely rustic country pub, staff were really friendly. Staff are really friendly, and was able to get a pint in the bar before retiring to bed. Room was nice and basic, but met all my needs. All in all met my needs for my trip.
