Hotels Near Printed In Space in Amsterdam

Once past the terrorising cyclists in the City the hotel was quite good. Torn carpets on the entering steps and on the main steps upstairs were scruffy and not a great image. Reception service, especially Ami, was good and the rooms, tight space but comfortable with good beds and lighting. Breakfast, with cold scrambled eggs was otherwise ok. General service was good. Hotel was expensive in which to stay. No taxi available from main station or knowledge of alternative specific transport so we, OAPs had to walk which was a real effort.

It is ideally located within 1 km of Amsterdam Dam Square. There are GVBs on the 2nd and 12th lines at the door, and there is a train every 3 minutes or so. Take the 2nd and 12th roads to Amsterdam Central Station and take the INTERCITY train to all parts of the Netherlands. Because it is the core area of Amsterdam, the price is relatively expensive. Hotel facilities are old, but fortunately this time is around June, there is no air conditioning in the room, I don't know if I can still treat people in the summer. . . There is no elevator in the hotel, and it is very difficult to carry large luggage. There is no electric kettle in the room. If you need to drink hot water, you have to go to the building. The front desk staff will use the key to turn on the water heater to get hot water. In general, apart from the high prices, others are not ideal. . .

Location is amazing, a short walk from the main train station which is needed after a long day from travelling in order to get to Amsterdam. You have everything you need around you if really you do not intend to explore this beautiful city. We paid for the wellness room which had a jacuzzi and a sauna, it was a massive let down as firstly their was no view whatsoever, the sauna was very poor and only goes up to 110 Fahrenheit which equates to 43 degrees Celsius. This temperature doesn’t even allow it to be called a sauna as they are supposed to traditionally run between 65-90 Celsius. But it gets worse this sauna is absolutely tiny to the point where it is not possible to fit two full adults in here and you’d also have to let it run for well over 30mins to heat up. The jacuzzi was pretty big but take in mind it has a self clean system that is extremely loud and went on for over 15mins it’s a real shame that there isn’t any view whatsoever as the jacuzzi experience was mild. They gave us gowns to use as well as plenty of towels which was appreciated. The room itself was good, the bed was very comfortable, tv was decent and they provided a coffee machine and fridge but the only downside of the room design was that the toilet and shower had separate rooms and the only sink was also separate and was located in the actual bedroom itself (very odd) Overall I probably wouldn’t stay again as the sauna is absolutely useless and the lack of any view whatsoever is really disappointing when you pay so much money.

Given the reviews, I was not keen to stay here, but thanks to Ajax v Napoli there were no others available. To sum up, this isn't a 5 star hotel by any stretch of the imagination. It is a 3 star hotel. Positives: - Location is superb - Architecturally stunning building - Large room (in my case, at least) - WiFi speeds are good. I was able to do video meetings from my room - Staff were pleasant and friendly Negatives: - Inside, the hotel is dark and in a state of disrepair - The kitchen closes early, and room service appears to not be possible. I was told that I should download Uber Eats if I wanted food after 10pm. - The room is tidy, but basic areas like around the sinks, bath, windows and TV were dirty - There is a smell of sewage that comes from the shower drain - The majority of channels on the TV are unavailable - There is no air conditioning. I had 2 tower fans in my room, and I had to use them both just to stay cool - No help with luggage, not that I couldn't manage myself - You get a bottle of water on the table when you check in. I had some the first night because it was so hot in the room. The second night when I was working late, I turned to open my fresh bottle. Nope! Same half empty bottle, had just been moved back to the table again. This is supposed to be a 5 star hotel! Stay somewhere else. A few weeks earlier, I stayed in the Sofitel Legend. THAT is a 5 star hotel.

I couldn't be more pleased with this hostel! I highly recommend it. The hostel, including bathrooms and showers, was very clean. The beds were super cozy and comfortable and offered some privacy. Staff was super sweet and helpful. Bonus points that the lobby always smelled like toast or freshly baked cookies! Also, the bike rental service was fantastic. One suggestion for improvement is that it would have been nice to have some wall hangers in the room. Since there were none, people resorted to hanging stuff from the bed ladders or just putting it on the floor.

The good: First and foremost, the staff. All very friendly doing their best to help with any problem that may arise, whether it has to do with your stay at he hotel or not. Good location, close to the museum quarter, five minutes' walk to the tram station that goes to Dam square and the train station, in a quiet residential street. OK: Rooms are very small and compact, but that seems to be the general situation in Amsterdam, and if you're out all day seeing the sights then it's not a deal breaker. The bad: Housekeeping needs to get their act together. Checked in, went up to the room, entered the bathroom and was greeted by a very strong smell of mildew or something similar. Fortunately I was immediately given another room without any argument. Went up to the room, entered the bathroom, and noticed that one of the overhead lamps was not working. Took a shower and found that there's a drainage problem with the water draining so slowly that I had to shut the water flow so as not to have water overflowing onto the floor. Nothing tragic, and it was all fixed the next day, but one would think that the job of housekeeping is to take care of these problems BEFORE the guest checks in, not after.

It ’s so cute. If it ’s not a taxi pick-up, it should be hard to find. There is no signboard. There is a welcome drink .. The food is ok, but the room is very small enough to leave without room for luggage. The floor to the other side has to take a narrow staircase, it is very difficult for girls to carry luggage. A little overpriced .. Although the hotels are expensive during the exhibition, but the city center hotels at the same price, the rooms are mostly large.

The hotel was great. Very good quality of the equipment. But the services from the Reception was very unkind. The online booking was not great because they announced in Booking website they are not charge the credit card before the the date of the arrival. But they have tried a lot of time to charge my credit card during more than 1 week then they blocked my bank account because my bank though a tentative of fraud. I paid my bank to unblock and made a new credit card. They said it was to save the room... So they are not really in phase with the information giving on their profile in Booking.com. After that, at our arrival, they tried to charge more than expected my reservation (the amount they blocked in my credit card + the full amount of my entire reservation so more than 420 Euros)

Fantastic quality hotel, didn’t realise there was a free airport shuttle had a bit of a walk there ( my mistake) used it when leaving great plus 2 free complimentary drinks a good bonus
