Not the hotel you can enjoy
It is NOT the hotel that described. There was NO a/c, the system was on heating mode and it was not possible to change it for cooling. The room was like a sauna impossible to be in. Rooms are Ok but uncomfortable over-worn bed, barely 1 towel for a day. Outdoor pools are full with dirty water and saunas are on from 6PM to 9PM only. Would never go back!

Reception staff very friendly and professional. AC didn't work in the room which made it very hot, room was otherwise ok. Food looked very stylish but was not up to standard.

Goed hotel als je wat kan relativeren.
Dit hotel is mooi en rustig gelegen aan de oever van de Donau. Het heeft echter een flinke renovatie nodig. In beide kamers waren er diverse gebreken ( vb lekkende airco, haardroger stuk, regendouche werkte niet, plinten zaten los,…) Het ontbijt was ok en de bediening was prima. Jammer echter dat het restaurant én enige bar al om 9u de deuren sloot. Op een zwoele zomeravond zou je toch wel langen willen genieten. Wij, en vele andere gasten zijn uit noodzaak elders een drankje moeten gaan kopen om nog wat langer op het terrasje te genieten van de avond. Onbegrijpelijk dat men
zo vroeg de bar en restaurant sloot.
Op een avond was het restaurant ook gesloten voor gasten omwille van een bruiloft. Wij waren hiervan echter niet verwittigd en zijn nog vrij laat op zoek moeten gaan naar een restaurant, wat niet voor de hand liggend is als je weet dat het hotel vrij afgelegen ligt.
Er is dus nog wat werk aan de winkel om de 4 sterren wat glans te geven.

What to say ? Cleanliness close to zero. We had 2 rooms 1 to 2 specific request for a large bed and we had 2 small beds. Borderline dog tolerated in the room, €20 per night (additional cost not specified when booking) for the animal without having a bowl of water made available, even though we had made our reservation specifying its presence. Room not soundproofed with a group of young people upstairs who were having a party from one room to another… for the room on the 3rd with a beautiful balcony she was not surprised to see the night of men passing from one balcony to another to try to get into the rooms… under the pretext of wanting to see their car in the parking lot when we surprised them, I think it was our car that would have disappeared if we hadn't seen them!! In the morning when returning the cards to the reception and we wanted to express our strong dissatisfaction to the reception, there was only one person for the checkout after 25 minutes of waiting we simply deposited the cards without a look from the receptionist since 5 people were still in front of us!! The saunas, hammam and jacuzzi were not in operation. The pool bar was closed while we were at the hotel on 08/24, so still in high season. The only positive point that quickly disappeared was the breakfast where before responding to our hello we were asked for our room number without a hello in return or even a thank you. I still don't understand how this hotel can display 4 stars!!!

So when I see the notes for this hotel I am perplexed. I agree the place on the banks of the Danube is nice, but still far from everything. On the other hand, as soon as you enter the room you find yourself in 1970 under the Soviet era. The furniture and decor date from around this date, even the towels are from the period, you can see through them. Small beds of 80 with cheap mattresses, nothing that justifies a 4 star. As much as the restaurant staff is top notch, so is the maintenance....the rooms are summarily done, if you use the mini bar you will keep the empty bottles throughout your stay, they forget to clean the bathroom but just like they forget the products you can do it yourself. Occasionally you won't get any towels either, they forget. Apparently the people in charge of the stars forgot to go through this establishment again perhaps because everything around it is abandoned and in ruins, they must have forgotten its existence, but a word of advice forget its existence too Ah also for a 4 star it is not there is no room service and the restaurant kitchen closes at 9 a.m.
