"The hotel's location is fantastic. It's just a 10-minute walk to Darling Harbour or the University of Sydney (USYD), and about 15 minutes on foot to Chinatown. There's also a small park right downstairs, and the area is surprisingly quiet – truly a peaceful retreat amidst the city's hustle and bustle.
The room itself is quite spacious and even includes a small balcony. Considering Sydney's prices, getting a hotel like this for the cost is absolutely excellent value for money!"

"It’s was an okay experience, everything was alright but staff were not very knowledgeable about the hotel. I asked if there was a freezer I could store my food in and both of the receptionist said no. I also ask if they could store it for me and they said they didn’t have one. When I go up to the room, they have the freezer. Also TV connection for Netflix or YouTube most likely won’t work. Connection is unstable. Breakfast is okay but not too many options. When I ask the two receptionist for umbrella , they say the hotel don’t have umbrella for the guests at all, which I think is odd. Decent stay but value for money is so so, rooms were a bit too small as well."
"Our room was on the 27th floor, and the view was absolutely stunning, offering simultaneous glimpses of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. The decor leaned towards a classic, somewhat dated style; the old-fashioned separate hot and cold water taps were a bit inconvenient, and there was no smart toilet. However, I personally found the bedding more comfortable than at the Crowne Plaza. Room service is available, and the meal prices aren't significantly higher than regular restaurants outside. There's a $10 trolley fee added to each order. Ordering breakfast is definitely worth it for those Instagram-worthy photos. The Shangri-La is more conveniently located, closer to Circular Quay and Wynyard, but do note that the hotel is situated on a hilltop. If you have luggage or are traveling with elderly companions, you'll pretty much have to take a taxi, as there's a steep uphill climb to reach the hotel, which I'd estimate at nearly 40 degrees [crying emoji]."
"First impressions for my 4-night stay were bad, and although things did improve after that, I don't plan to stay here again. When I arrived to check-in, I was early, and reception said they could check me in early but I would have to pay a $40 fee, not something I’ve experienced in any other hotel in Sydney or anywhere else in the world. Then when paying the security deposit straight after that, I asked if I could use Apple Pay and they said I could but the fee would be $100 rather than $10, leaving me wondering what the next fee I would be asked for would be. They then decided to check me in without the $40 fee, and I used a card for the security deposit. Management insisted that these are their policies, meaning that people who like me don't like this money-centred approach need to choose other hotels. The room was also small, and there’s no kettle. Yes there’s coffee in reception but it’s much more convenient to have it in the room, and this facility is standard in other Sydney hotels. The air conditioner in the room also didn't work properly, but a positive was that hotel reception readily moved me to another room. Although this room was the same room type, it had a better layout and I ended up staying a further night. Cleanliness of the rooms is excellent, and the housekeeping staff were very friendly. Location is also excellent, being just a 5-minute walk from Central Station."
"I spent most of my trip alone in my room.
On November 5, I went out to take a picture around the opera house and I wore sunglasses that day.
That night, I cleaned and put them on my desk. On my way to lunch on November 6, a housekeeper cleaned the embankment. I never cleaned it, and I just received towels! I almost stayed in my room that day, too. The next morning, while I was getting ready to go to the observatory, I realized that my sunglasses were missing.
These are high-quality black sunglasses with a purple case.
I'm not sure how this happened.
I was going to take a picture"
"The hotel is very nice and well located. The staff is super kind and friendly. Public transport is very close to the hotel, and if you like walking, the Opera House is about 40 minutes away on foot. The only downside is that the room wasn’t cleaned properly — one day the bed wasn’t made well, there were no new towels, and another day the room wasn’t cleaned at all. The cleaning service could definitely be improved, in my opinion."

"Good transportation link with trains, subways and light rails for airport and Sydney centre. Nearby big Woolworths supermarket, shops, cafe and restaurants. Hotel is a little hard to find as it’s not a grand entrance and attached to a residential building complex. Staff are friendly with smiles, amenities workable though WiFi is a bit unstable but overall good value for money in such central location. There’s a roof top terrace w/a small pool too."

"The hotel is located in a fantastic location, just opposite a shopping mall. I had a pleasant stay here.
The only cons are:
The toilet is a bit run down.
Due to the apartment being so well located, it means that the pubs beside it can get a bit noisy at night, especially on the weekends."

"The hotel is a bit old and the rooms aren't very spacious. Service is pretty standard, though the front desk staff were great. Housekeeping needed a reminder, but that's just how it is in Sydney. The biggest plus is its fantastic location – just a 2-minute walk from the Chinatown light rail station, and Hyde Park and other attractions are all within walking distance."
"This was one of the best experiences we have had in Australia. We finally found a resort that values its customers and provides what you expect from a five star luxury hotel. Vivien from the front office was amazing, upgrading our room and making my birthday unforgettable. Thank you and keep up the fantastic work."

Amazing
TTTWWSWow, what can I say? This hotel was absolutely amazing from the service from the Geo with a warm welcome and our luggage taken away from us at the door to the personalised service that we received at check-in. Walking in the rooms are simply amazing being so elegantly furnished and so clean and spacious. The bathroom had all the amenities you could even imagine and you could easily get stuff and order through the iPad. Their indoor pool and Jim is simply amazing and includes a spa with massage function and there’s also a specialty shower room and sauna room. The breakfast buffet was also a very high standard and you can order à la carte items which were very delicious. There was also a lounge room which is similar to an executive lounge open to all hotel gas and (Office) complimentary tea and alcohol drinks too. I’m definitely return to stay at this hotel and it is absolutely amazing. Thank you very much, Capella Sydney.

NNuannuandexiatiantianThe corner room was very spacious and comfortable for a family stay. There's also a small balcony. The kitchen is well-equipped with coffee and tea provided. The minibar is chargeable, and there are no toothbrushes or slippers. The only 'bug' was that the third bed in the triple room was in the living room and had a glass door that let in all the light, so we were woken up by the brightness early in the morning.
GGuest UserVery nice hotel to stay at, nearby the subway station and bus stop .
staffs are really helpful and polite.Rooms are cleaned and big enough to fit two people and large luggage.
CchenqiThe hotel is an established five-star property with an excellent location, and the front desk staff were very friendly. However, the elevators were a major issue. One of the three was out of service for maintenance, and the remaining two were incredibly slow, especially during the day. Waiting for an elevator often took around 15 minutes, which is a significant waste of valuable time. For this reason, I cannot recommend it.

JJAEHEEGood location and service. Staff very friendly and rooms were clean and spacious. Free Wifi works well and good amenities available in room, including kettle, refrigerator, soap, and hair dryer. Extremely good value place to stay.
雯雯CarmenI had the pleasure of staying and I can't say enough about how incredible the experience was! From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with warm smiles and an efficiency that made checking in seamless. The lobby was luxurious, with elegant décor and a relaxing atmosphere that set the tone for the entire stay.
MM523454****Unfortunately bad experience because no internet inside the room, so I go back to the reception to ask for a fly box, night time the battery is dead so I asked again the reception, one of them she gave me a bad charger so I went third time to ask to change my room, and their attitude was so bad, looks like I did a crime, it was Avery bad experience, never happen to me in any other hotel

GGuest UserThe front desk staff were incredibly welcoming, the housekeeping staff were very kind, and the breakfast servers were also wonderfully friendly, truly making me feel right at home. I really enjoyed the traditional Western breakfast. The location is also super convenient, just a short walk to the train station. Plus, there's a large shopping mall nearby with a supermarket on its B1 level, perfect for all your daily needs.

GGuest UserOK for one night.
The hotel is above the pub, which is also very busy in the afternoon.
There is also live music there on Sundays until around 9 p.m.
Everything is perfectly fine, unless you have room 10 next to the washing machine/dryer and sleep next to the ventilation. Even though drying and washing is not allowed after 9 p.m., it was very annoying.
The hotel rooms face the back, so in the morning you also have the noise from the loading area of the supermarket.
On the positive side, the room was in a modern condition and the staff were all very nice.
The beach is a ten-minute walk away.
