"Location is great, nearby many restaurants & shops that open til late in Sydney. Amenities are complete and they have all you need (dental kit upon request, microwave at lobby). The family room is incredibly small though, so if you have big luggages, it will be challenging."

"I stayed at devere hotel for many many years and occasionally is for business and study likewise as the room is very cosy, clean and quiet so I can focus and concentrate during stay a late night as is more peaceful environment surround with plants, with neighbourhoods and restaurants bar with entertainment nearby. It is close by walking and feel safer if u walk alone at night. The size of room is very reasonable depends the number of guests and different rate tailored from what you need and want with your own budget. "the room was extremely small there were no complimentary water bottles you have to get the disposable toothbrush and slippers on request and they didn't do a good job on noise suppression every morning I just got woke up by the neighbors and the room service next door otherwise the bed is pretty comfy location is excellent but I felt it a bit overpric"

"Our room was on the 27th floor, and the view was absolutely stunning, offering simultaneous glimpses of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. The decor leaned towards a classic, somewhat dated style; the old-fashioned separate hot and cold water taps were a bit inconvenient, and there was no smart toilet. However, I personally found the bedding more comfortable than at the Crowne Plaza. Room service is available, and the meal prices aren't significantly higher than regular restaurants outside. There's a $10 trolley fee added to each order. Ordering breakfast is definitely worth it for those Instagram-worthy photos. The Shangri-La is more conveniently located, closer to Circular Quay and Wynyard, but do note that the hotel is situated on a hilltop. If you have luggage or are traveling with elderly companions, you'll pretty much have to take a taxi, as there's a steep uphill climb to reach the hotel, which I'd estimate at nearly 40 degrees [crying emoji]."

"Disappointing Stay for a Special Occasion – Expected More from a 5-Star Hotel Stayed 4 nights with my daughter for her surprise birthday staycation. Upgraded to a Harbour Bridge View room on Level 23 ($715/night), but the view was mostly of a vacant construction site – very underwhelming for the price. Noisy interconnecting room and loud sports cars between 12–2am made it hard to sleep. Breakfast ($65pp) was below expectations – dried sausages and barely cooked bacon, though staff were lovely. Room service on our last night took nearly an hour – ordered at 7:38pm, food arrived at 8:30pm. As a solo mum, this was a trip we had saved up for a long time and wanted it to be truly special, but we were left feeling disappointed. Expected more from a 5-star hotel. The positive highlights of our stay was the lovely big bath and high-quality shower amenities, which added a touch of luxury. Fantastic location and beautiful walk along the waterfront!! For the price we paid, the view fell far short of what you'd expect from a luxury hotel. In hindsight, the lower rate Deluxe King Room overlooking the water would have been a much better choice!  -"

"Can be noisy if you get the room right beside the road. We asked for a new room and that wasnt a problem for them - new room was quiet."

"The location is fantastic, located by the Darling Harbour, you can reach the Aquarium and Darling Harbour within 3-5 minutes. You can also access Sydney CBD (QVB etc.) easily. For the staff, they are super friendly and helpful. Despite I didn't request a daily room cleaning service, they tidied my room every day. If you don't want to have such service, you can definitely require not to too. The view of my room is amazing, you can enjoy the view of Darling Harbour. And one more thing which I found quite important is that the room has a perfect soundproof. Since it's winter in August, it's quite cold in Sydney. The lobby has very warm temperature and cozy vibe. However, the room's air conditioning didn't provide a warm temperature that I satisfied, the room temperature remains between 18-20 °C during our stay, it would be perfect if it's like 23-25 °C. And this was the only down side I can think of, other than that, I had a perfect stay!"

"Location is convenient, with restaurants, famous breakfast spots, and tram station within 5mins walk. bus stop right infront of the hotel, direct bus stop to bondi beach of just only 10mins walk away."

"Great friendly service, a spacious room with good facilities, and just a 5-minute walk from Central Station. The only negative I encountered was that the housekeeping is quite bad, with a lot of dust on the table and bench, and small bits of food on the carpet (unfortunately ’ve found Rydges to have generally much lower quality housekeeping than other chains)."
