"I stayed at The Jensens and while the location is undeniably ideal, close to everything you need and in a vibrant, convenient area, the stay was let down by a major issue.
The soundproofing isn’t great, with doors frequently slamming throughout the property. However, given that it’s a hostel-style accommodation, this was something we were able to accept and move past.
What wasn’t acceptable, though, was the presence of rats in the walls and ceiling above our room. We were woken multiple times each night by loud scratching and scurrying noises, which was extremely unsettling and made it very difficult to sleep. We also have audio recordings that clearly capture the extent of the problem.
It’s a real shame, as the location is fantastic, but this issue seriously impacted our stay. I would strongly recommend that management address the pest problem as a priority."

"The room was clean and tidy, perfect for a solo traveler, and came equipped with a mini-fridge, microwave, and some basic dishes and cutlery. A big plus was the small dining area, which offers 24-hour self-service coffee, and before 10 AM daily, they have a nice selection of pastries, fruits, and yogurt. The location is also very convenient; it's just a 3-minute walk to Green Square train station, making it super easy to get to the airport or the city center. This is my third time staying here!"

"Bed was great very comfortable, great location. However in regards to cleanliness there was stains on the shower curtain and on certain towels. Also during the night the fire alarm went off, the entire building was evacuated with an alarm there was no sign of anyone that owned the hotel or even a receptionist at the desk we were told we could return to rooms by a fire department. This made me feel uneasy as it seemed just anyone could walk in to the hotel if there was no one downstairs."

"I had a great stay at ADGE Hotel Sydney and would happily stay here again.
The room was spacious, comfortable, and well maintained. Housekeeping was excellent throughout my stay, with the room cleaned to a consistently high standard every day.
The only area that could be improved is the air conditioning. At times, the temperature settings didn’t seem to respond properly, making it difficult to keep the room at a comfortable temperature.
The location is good, although it’s about a 15-minute walk to the nearest train station, so it’s something to keep in mind if you rely on public transport. That said, the surrounding area has plenty of restaurants and cafés, making it a pleasant place to stay.
Overall, I had a very enjoyable experience and would definitely return on my next visit to Sydney."

onlinelilyExcellent hotel! The rooms are quite spacious, and come with a fridge, kitchen, and stove, making for a very comfortable stay. The hotel is super conveniently located; just a few minutes' walk to the right is the train station, bus station, a large supermarket, and various restaurants. It's easy to get anywhere from here. It's also very close to the airport, accessible by taxi or train. The cheapest option is the bus, which also goes there. It's incredibly convenient!

PuwuFirst stop in Sydney! Overall, I'm quite satisfied with the hotel. The location is unbeatable; it's so convenient to get anywhere, perfect for a city walk. It's also very friendly for fashion lovers.
The lobby isn't maintained very well, it only looks good when the lights are on at night.
We were upgraded to a super awesome ocean view room this time, which made me really happy!
I highly recommend the hotel's breakfast and the dinner buffet – both are top-notch in Sydney.

Guest UserThe room was spotless and came with a kitchenette. Housekeeping diligently replaced amenities daily. The location is fantastic; it's just a 10-minute walk to Chinatown, the train station, or the light rail. We stayed in a double room with an extra bed. While the kitchenette was a nice touch, it lacked sufficient cooking utensils, and the stovetop's orientation made it a bit awkward to use. However, overall, we were very satisfied with the environment and service.

The hotel location is very convenient, right next to the train station and light rail. There's also a lounge where you can relax and enjoy free hot drinks. On Saturday nights, if there's an event at the bar next door, the soundproofing isn't great, but it always ends promptly at 12 AM.

Anonymous UserWe stayed in the Rydges World Square family room for three nights and had a very comfortable experience. The two-bedroom layout was spacious, clean, though sharing a single bathroom among four adult was a minor inconvenience. A thoughtful gesture from the hotel made our stay even more special—they surprised my son with chocolate treats and a birthday card upon check-in, which we truly appreciated.
The location is excellent, close to many attractions, and the convenience of having a shopping mall right downstairs with restaurants and a supermarket added to the ease of our stay. Overall, it was a delightful and comfortable experience.

We booked Marco Polo Motor Inn for 3 nights. The room was very clean and looked like it had been recently refurbished. Queen bed was very comfortable. There was also a 3 seater sofa. Towels were changed daily. TV channels worked fine. Aircon was cold without strange smells. There was a microwave, kettle, plates n bowls, cutlery,, cups n glasses. A mini fridge with freezer and even a cute single slice toaster! Coffee, tea bags n hot chocolate were provided. Parking was secure and ample. Will definitely be back if driving from Gold Coast to Sydney again. It is also walking distance to the train station. A great find! Signage was Marco Polo Motel though and we were slightly confused by it. Reception was great, friendly and helpful.

The hotel ticks a lot of boxes, clean modern rooms, pool and steam room, and in the best location, very central over looking the beach. The hotel has just had a refurbishment, very tidy with a good bar and restaurant on the ground floor. Only slight negative, front dest - check in could be better and a bit more friendly.
If you want to stay in Manly, this hotel is your best choice, the other main hotel is way down at the end of the beach.

OK for one night.
The hotel is above the pub, which is also very busy in the afternoon.
There is also live music there on Sundays until around 9 p.m.
Everything is perfectly fine, unless you have room 10 next to the washing machine/dryer and sleep next to the ventilation. Even though drying and washing is not allowed after 9 p.m., it was very annoying.
The hotel rooms face the back, so in the morning you also have the noise from the loading area of the supermarket.
On the positive side, the room was in a modern condition and the staff were all very nice.
The beach is a ten-minute walk away.

Reasonable price, but the hotel looks a bit old and has an unpleasant odour. The carpet definitely needs a deep clean, and the air conditioner was dripping all night. The one good thing about this hotel is the excellent customer service. Car park was great, overall it ok.
