Great
RReece96Nice spot, walkable to everything and in a good busy area. Staff are friendly and facilities were great and very clean. Enjoyed my stay. Not the most sociable though, I would stay again but don’t expect to really meet people here. More for somewhere nice to sleep.

PPo KwongThis is my first time at the original backpacker.
Answer my phone call when I was late check-in, the guy was very polite.
Reception - very friendly and helpful show me around.
Location - convenience at King Cross with 2 supermarkets, food shop, shopping centre.
Friendly roommates with all women.
Other backpackers are very respectful. No noise after midnight.
I'll be back😊
GGuest UserI stayed here for two nights while dropping my child off at UNSW, and it offered excellent value for money. The accommodation is a standalone, two-story building with charming local architectural features. We booked a queen-sized room which included a wash basin inside, though the bathroom was located just outside the door. It's a shared bathroom for a few rooms, but it was always kept very clean and hygienic. We had quite a bit of luggage, and an Uber from the airport cost $70. There are supermarkets and banks conveniently located nearby. The surrounding area is absolutely lovely, an upscale residential neighborhood filled with detached houses. All in all, a very pleasant stay.
GGuest UserI was lucky enough to have my room ready in advance, before 2PM and since my flight arrived early in the morning, that was really nice !
Cathy was also a wonderful person in general, throughout my stay.
The room is pretty big, with a sink and a fridge. 👌🏻
The room I had is next to the common area however people weren't too loud, especially in the evening despite it roughly being the dinner time so that was nice.
The area is very chill, a few schools and houses around so not loud at night. It is, however, situated on the planes' route and they are pretty low in the sky since it gets close to the airport. But there aren't any at night (around midnight until 6AM I would say) and it's not every 5 minutes either.
The sun set pretty early at that time of the year and to me, I felt like the neighborhood lacked lights for people to walk around but it wasn't much of a bother and not something the lodge can change, so just a heads-up to have a small light/enough battery on the phone to use when coming back from your day trip activities.
SshannonlucianoThe girl at check-in (not the asian one she was nice) was so unprofessional and not helpful at all. Basically only can check in after 2pm and it's self-checkout, as a result they 'copy' your bank card information for deposit and don't accept cash deposit. Room was very basic sleep quality was bad, air con was noisy, and bathroom was so tiny. Not recommended
TTina FeThe hotel is situated close to olympic park. great if you opt to attend a concert and avoid the crowd. Our room is clean and has free toiletries, large bath towels, free tea and coffee, milk was at room temp ( not inside the fridge) we didn't bother using it as milk outside the fridge is concerning for us. The room ac is extremely noisy. It got a weird sound every 10-15 mins. The room given near the highway and above a late night pub, expect the noise, pls bring earplugs, and hair dryer, slippers and robe as we choose a shared bath for our room type. Not sure if there is a private suite. The shared bathroom only consists of 1 toilet and 1 bath for women. My partner also says it is the same layout for the men. Expect that there are some waiting during rush hours. Not sure how many rooms are shared for the amenities.
TTina FeWe stayed at room 13, The window couldn't be opened. It has some soud proofing on top which lessen the noise that is coming from the Parramatta road. The room smells mouldy and mask by tiny air freshener. Towels, toiletries and bottle of water (upon check-in) is provided. We do not have a chance to use the breakfast facilities as we left before check out time
2213311****Hygiene: Overall, it was clean, but there were dead cockroaches in the wardrobe, and the towels were old with permanent stains.
Environment: The environment was not as good as shown online.
Service: When there were issues, service was provided, but not always promptly.
Facilities: Initially, the light was broken (and there was only one), no fan, the shower faucet wouldn't turn off completely and kept dripping loudly, and there was no WiFi. After communication, the first three issues were fixed, but the WiFi was not.
GGuest UserCleanliness is very important to all the hotels and accommodation. because it can cause diseases. Dust comming from the fan and air-conditioning when it's running. I show cockroaches coming through the gaps on the walls. Specially the noise from the doors and air-conditioning need to be replaced. But although I realised this is how we all end it up if we after economy room. Management is very friendly but need more attention of cleanliness and maybe it's time to do renovations.
Thanks
