"The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Room very clean and tidy. However we arrived for breakfast which was included and why we booked this hotel to find that the chef had called in sick so there was only a basic continental breakfast . The staff were unhelpful and slow at breakfast . My husband had an orange for breakfast and I had a piece of toast !! Not what we paid for ."

"Spent 1 night at this hotel to stop by Bristol before taking the train to the next destination. PIcked the hotel because of how near it was to Bristol Temple Meads. It is a 15-20 minute walk to the city centre/major shopping areas. The check in process was very smooth, and we were fortunately allowed to check in early after subscribing to a free Ibis membership. Room had all the standard necessities. A comfortable stay."

"Arrived at the hotel all ok but when we got to the room it was cold and dirty but didn’t have time to change as was here for a family wedding but yes side board was sticky and skirting boards was dirty and even had what looked like mud on it "

"The hotel is really well situated for access to bristol cathedral, park street and Baldwin and corn streets, all of which are home to a plethora of restaurants and pubs. The staff were welcoming and helpful, making us feel that nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean, the mattress comfy and the tv was a decent size. We enjoyed our stay there and would gladly do so again."

"Overall great stay, the toilets are the showering area was separate, lights sometimes turn off when it can’t detect you inside, but good size rooms, service was good, remember to bring a padlock."

"Beautiful room , and fantastic service , when asked about late check out, was very easy and aloud us to spend more time in a good room bed was very comfortable, shower and bath clean and shower was good, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner all included in shower that was nice 😀, and price was amazing too will definitely book with hilton again 😀..."

"Very nice room, not accessible as we had booked but we did arrive very late. Reception were very kind and brought us some extra pillows to help support my husband as he had large tumour on his leg. Breakfast was very good, everything we needed. Some nice touches including fresh fruit and yoghurt and some fruit smoothies. Very happy with our stay."

"The good things about the hotel were its location. Close to restaurants, a famous Banksy or two, lots of shops and theatres. Is a beautiful hotel with nice places to sit and meet if you are in a group. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The car park, despite being £17 per night, was actually better value than other options nearby and we were able to leave the car there until midnight on the day of check out. The negatives were that we were not able to get a reservation in the hotel restaurant which we found unusual. We had a group from 8 to 80 so we were worried about walking yet had no choice as they couldn’t fit us in. They were also impossible to contact as they didn’t reply to messages. There was chaos at check in with guests waiting for up to an hour to check in and get their keys. There were long queues for over two hours from 3pm to at least 5pm. Their excuse was that the hotel was fully booked but it’s not as though they didn’t know all those people were coming! They should have been prepared and there were a lot of unhappy customers that Saturday evening. Some front desk staff were flustered and sorry but couldn’t do anything about it and some didn’t seem to care. We were there a bit earlier so they could have got the process started but they wouldn’t so we had to queue twice. We were quite fed up. Even after all that and me paying £68 for 4 cars I had to keep repeating that I had already paid that and the next day. Something in the system needs to change as it’s frustrating to spend 2 hours checking in when you are only staying for 1 night. Perhaps if they are expecting so many people again they could put out tea and coffee in the tea lounge with a screen to enter and pay for your car and then have some kind of ticket system where you are called to the desk when it’s your turn. It certainly needs better management as it’s not the welcome you expect when you’ve paid to stay in the Marriott brand."

"Everything was fine except the ac heating was not working even it is adjusted to 30 degrees it was cold as winter so had to put on my coat. The room was clean but there were hairs on the towel and inside the sink. Apart from these the reception staff was so friendly and helpful. Thank you!"
