Visited to settle offspring into University. The best feature for me was the small lockable hotel garage, which meant a car full of student ‘stuff’ could be safely left overnight- gave tremendous peace of mind. Staff were really friendly and helpful. There was a reliable lift. Racks restaurant also had responsive, efficient staff, and the food was palatable. I expected the location to be much quieter than was the case, there was a lot of noise from outside, including happy drunks and traffic. Whiteladies road, with a wide choice of cafes and restaurants is within walking distance and Clifton village and The Downs a short drive away. On-road parking is mainly permit for residents and pay & display parking is extremely limited. We booked single rooms for a short stay, but they were extremely small, so if staying longer, you would definitely want a larger room. Overall, a good place. The secure parking was the outstanding feature for me.

The most enjoyable food I had was in River Grill restaurant and the room with a nice harbor view. I would say that this is one of the best hotels in Bristol. They really look after you and always make sure that you have a great time. I had complimentary early check-in with an upgrade, which really made me feel welcomed. I will be back very soon, in June.
The location is very good, across the road is the law school building, on the top of the famous big uphill, quiet in the noisy, the garden outside the hotel is very comfortable, breakfast is good.
The rooms are relatively small, the facilities are old, and there is no free parking lot.

Breakfast is very good, bread and fruit juice buffet, as well as a pure English breakfast, free order, taste very good! Drinking tea to tea cups is very exquisite, a breakfast out of a holiday feel! A family of three, asked if they would like an extra bed when they arrive at the hotel? We didn't add it, so we gave us the largest double bed room. The room was not as soundproof as the comment said. Very quiet, right next to the suspension bridge. This is also the hotel we were most satisfied with for a month in Bristol!

The hotel is very nice, with all the equipments need, however, I had several experiences finding the lights cannot be turned on, and also the oven does not work. The safe cannot work, and the mirror was at the ground. The washing machine kept on running water without stopping? It seems no one checked the property properly before the customers check in.
Also their online sales control the sales of rooms without over 28 days, so, doing online booking cannot over 28 days. After 28 days, if you want to stay longer, then the sales price almost like stock price, flucturating seriously, then it becomes today is a price, tomorrow the price is doubled. In most other hotels chains, it will have a committed price for certain time, so customers can know it will be valid for how long. However, this hotel sales will tell a different price every day. It makes less confidence to let customers feel loyalty. The other strange thing is their direct price is always cheaper than the agent price, so it makes people better book at agent rather than book directly, it seems very unusual as well. It looks like both the customers service for room management and the sales service for sales management shall be further looked and improved. It is not buying stuff from weekend market, and the price can dramatically change like this. Also, a commitment to customer shall be followed, especially if this is already in writing. It is not right to tell customer one price in writing, and the next day changes again. It sounds like we bargain in the weekend market for buying vegetables or meats?
No customers will like to see A Price become B Price and become C Price. Also, there is no difference between daily rate and weekly rate and monthly rate, seems hotel does not encourage direct sales with customers, also do not encourage long term stay as well. Can only say It is a very unique experience.
As we were restricted to visiting a hotel in our same Tier 2 area we chose a night here at the Hotel du Vin. We stayed it Taittinger Suite which was huge and very tastefully decorated. It has the largest hotel bathroom I’ve seen, you could almost hold a ball in it, with a luxurious bath and an enormous walk in shower with a power shower (I made use of both bath and shower). The Kingsized bed was huge and very comfortable, and we also made use of the excellent room service. Breakfast was excellent and the restaurant where breakfast is served is lovely. Service under the circumstances was very good and the hotel takes its anti coronavirus measures very seriously. A few very minor niggles. The bathroom could have done with more shelf space and it seems to switch off individual lamps in the bedroom area you have to switch them off at the mains. However, these are minor details. The hotel is excellent and if you’re looking for a tasteful, up market hotel with a little bit of the wow factor, you won’t be disappointed.

The booking process and info before checking in was pretty good. Parking was steep though at £20 per night. The actual place was average with some things a bit outdated. The bed was really comfy. Three things I was really disappointed about which would make me not want to stay here again: 1. the deposit was not taken separately to the rest of the payment. So I am now waiting for a refund of that rather than simply them taking it off my available funds and placing it back again. The £250 deposit alone would make me reluctant to book again. 2. The TV didn't work properly. Terrestrial was fine but when I logged into itv this didnt work at all and just kept freezing etc. 3. When I woke up I found live bugs in the kitchen sink...kind of like some sort of earwig type thing but I'm not entirely sure. Glad they weren't there when I arrived because I would have been put off staying. I am wholly worried they are going to try and get away with not giving me my deposit back for some reason even though I left the place entirely as I found it.

It was a nice hotel on the whole, but the room had water/damp stains on the wall and could have been cleaned better (few hairs and dust etc). Staff were all very friendly and the facilities were average, as you would expect from a budget hotel.
The hotel didn't have a formal front desk and facade. We called the hotel at 7 o'clock in the afternoon. They said that they had contacted me before (I might contact Ctrip's phone) and sent them an id and credit card picture to tell us how to self. -checkin. The room was ok, and the floor was slamming. The kettle and coffee machine were dirty, but the pots and pans were clean. In the evening, the heating can not be opened at around 17°. There is a bar restaurant downstairs, and it will be noisy one or two in the middle of the night. Please consider carefully when sleeping light.

Excellent
GGuest UserMy partner and I have just returned from a very enjoyable weekend in Bristol(19th-21st Aug). We stayed here back in July this year so decided to return. We recommended the hotel to two friends who came and stayed there as well. We had room 213 which is at the back of the building but as we only needed the room to rest it didn't matter. The room was clean and very comfortable with a good shower. Check in was simple and the staff were very pleasant. We like the idea of the hotel having its own ironing room which we used whilst there. We used the bar on the Friday night when we returned to the hotel, Two double Hendrick gins and a mixer was nearly £20.00 ! But I suppose that's city prices for you. We are looking forward to returning in October for another enjoyable time. Thankyou to you all at Ibis Temple Quay.
GGuest UserGood standard of accomodation - studio with plenty of room for two. It was clean and had everything we needed. Plus the added bonus of actually being able to open windows! Easy to find and about 25 mins walk from the main centre. But very near Whiteladies Road with a fantastic choice of bars and places to eat, plus a couple of small supermarkets. Free parking available at rhe back. Booking was easy, communication Good and efficient. Checking in was contactless and easy. Check out 11.00 am which was also a bonus. Only issue was I asked if we could leave our car in the carpark on check out day, knowing that folk couldn't check in before 4pm. I was told that we could but we would be charge £5.00 !an hour!! Needless to say we.didnt! ! Overall though, we would stay again!!

GGuest UserWe needed to be near the Cathedral for a Graduation ceremony and the Ibis was a 5 minute walk away. Reception on arrival was quick & efficient. The bedroom (320) and bathroom were clean and appeared to have been totally renovated very recently. Everything worked as it should. There was some background noise from the air-con on a nearby building but this did not prove to be a problem for us when the window was closed. A very fullsome buffet breakfast was enjoyed. We took advantage of the secure luggage room after vacating the bedroom. All the staff we encountered were very pleasant, polite and helpful. We parked at the nearby Britannia Car Park (which was clean and well lit) and the Ibis reception processed our parking ticket which resulted in up to 24 hour parking costing £10 instead of £17. Checkout was painless. Would we stay again? Yes - but for only one or two nights.

11AKMHaving read the reviews on this site after we had booked to stay in this hotel, I was quite concerned. However, we do need to remember that this hotel is a grade 2 listed former coaching house and although it may need a little bit of TLC, our room was clean, our breakfast was lovely and the staff were helpful. There is a bus stop just outside the hotel which allows you to take a bus into Bristol. We caught the Y1 bus and it cost £3.80 for a return ticket. The buses run about every half an hour and the last return bus is after 10pm. There is a schedule showing the bus times at the bus stop.
GGuest UserWe had the loveliest time here the staff were so lovely and friendly. It was about a 30 minute walk into town and if you are travelling into town at rush hour walking is the best way as the traffic was pretty bad.
The room we stayed in was beautiful and clean and tidy and we were blown away by the service from the staff it really was lovely infact I was shocked to find they were part of a group and not independent as it felt the kind of service you would get from an independent. The bar and restaurants were lovely and the building was so beautiful inside and out we had a really lovely stay toiletries were provided and they smelt beautiful. thanks so much we had a lovely time.
LLudengxiadekafeiThe room is clean, the location is good, and the breakfast is rich. Mainly because eating out is very expensive, and the waiters are also very enthusiastic. I hope I will come back in the future. It's just a few minutes' walk from the main road.
