There was only one person at the front desk to check in. I waited for more than half an hour and was told that the room was cleaned. It was already past 9:30 when I finally checked in! A musty smell hit me as soon as I got off the elevator on the 12th floor! I thought it was a problem with the carpet in the public area, and thought it would be better in the room, but when I entered the room (1201), there was still a strong musty smell! I turned on the air conditioner and thought it would be better, but I felt dizzy and nauseous after a while! It was already very late. We got up at 5 a.m. in China to catch the flight. We were very tired after a day of traveling. We originally planned to make do with one night, but the musty smell was too strong. Considering that we had to visit customers all day the next morning, our health could not be guaranteed if we stayed there. We had to contact the online customer service at around 10 a.m. and told them about the problem. Then we rebooked the nearby Courtyard by Marriott. It took a lot of effort to get an Uber to transfer to the Courtyard by Marriott! Two girls, dragging so much luggage in the middle of the night, and it was not very safe outside. We were tired and sleepy. If we could bear it, we would not take the risk to escape overnight! You can imagine how much the hotel environment must be checked! The most hateful thing is that the hotel did not refund a penny! They said they did not agree to the negotiation. We booked 6 nights. At the beginning, they told the customer that they agreed to deduct the first night's room fee and refund the next five nights' room fee, but they changed their mind again! So that now it has been half a month since the incident and the hotel still has not refunded! ... The hotel lobby is small, the hall is small, the efficiency is low, there are no slippers or toothbrushes in the room, more than 1,000 a night without breakfast, it's better to grab this kind of accommodation! The Courtyard by Marriott, which is similar in price, is full of security, the hotel is clean and upscale, many must-see attractions are right at the door of the hotel, and it's not far to walk to the ticket office of the seaside train! If you have to book, I strongly recommend Courtyard by Marriott, don't take the risk to come to this hotel and step on the pit!!!

The hotel is pretty good in Colombo, the location is very convenient, the hardware and decoration of the hotel are OK, the hygiene is relatively clean, the breakfast is not as rich as in China, but the overall cost performance is good.
