Had an excellent stay while in town for Detroit Marathon. The Cochrane House is right on the race course, and my daughter was able to cheer for me without going anywhere! Convenient walk to expo and start/finish (just over a mile). Hosts Rica and Cina are incredibly accommodating and welcoming and have thought of every detail. The breakfasts were delectable (amazing biscuits!), and it was nice to have coffee, tea, and snacks available in the kitchen all day. The house is gorgeously restored and decorated, and the Jazz Fusion room was a perfect space for two people. Beautiful bathroom with a great shower and soaking tub, and double sinks. Enjoyed the balcony and its sunset views. Although the bed was a bit softer than I prefer, it was still very comfortable, and there were different pillow options! Some street noise can be heard at night because I-75 is so close, but the in-room sound machine and ceiling fan helped, and we slept well. Private parking was easy and convenient. Would have loved to have stayed longer to see more of the town, take advantage of the common area books and board games, and enjoy more of the breakfasts. Thank you, Rica and Cina!
