Chic & Basic Gravity

Location is unbeatable. It is in the center of the old town. Many restaurants are nearby. It takes 10 minutes to walk to the river side. The hotel is very clean and the staff is very friendly. Don't miss this hotel if you come to Porto. A very beautiful and charming city . I would Stay in this hotel again if I come to Porto.

Our family reserved 3 rooms and arrived on a very early flight . Jose was kind enough to get 1 of our rooms ready within an hour so we could at least wash up, rest for a bit, and refresh before going out for the day. He continued to take care of us throughout our stay with anything we needed, while being extremely kind and personal. He is an excellent representative of the quality and care the hotel offers. We also liked the ambiance of the hotel. It was nicely lit and decorated in a fun, eclectic, and relaxing fashion. Our room rate included the breakfast which was an amazing spread with much variety, highly recommend. Location was central, easy walking distance everywhere. Small disappointment was lack of gym. I know we walk around alot but it would’ve nice to have the option as my husband and son like to exercise quite a bit. In addition, the TV lounge room which can be nice for teenagers/kids to use while waiting for our rooms to be ready was rather plain in terms of interior design, just gray concrete walls, as opposed to the interesting and colorful designs of the rest of the hotel. This is just an observation, I would definitely recommend this hotel and would come back again.

Very good service

We booked here after reading all the glowing reviews and it lived up to them all! The young reception staff were all great and were always happy to help with any queries. We requested a quiet room and got a lovely big room at the back, great shower and everything was comfortable and very clean. We were served a welcome Port on arrival which is a nice touch as well as the complimentary afternoon hot drinks and pastries. We were further up the hill than we had envisaged but we usually walked down and then got an Uber (excellent) back uphill. The breakfast was lovely, we enjoyed the Cava, fresh juice and of course the warm mini Pastel de Natas, as well as much more. Would recommend to anyone visiting Porto for a few days.
