Marriott's hotels are both good hardware and software, and the price in India is not high. Next to Lulu Supermarket, it is convenient to buy things. The hotel's buffet is very good and the price is very high

The stay at Grand Hyatt was awesome The view of the water from the room was very soothing and rejuvenating The staff is very courteous A big shout out to Chef Latha, Chef Selva, Anirban, Sanjay, Bilini amongst others at Malabar Cafe. They made my stay very memorable - taking me on a culinary journey pampering me as well. The Spa Santata is outstanding My therapist Anagha was very good and had great healing hands. She took great care, was very polite and knew her job well.

This was the last of the Abad Hotels that I enjoyed staying in recently while holidaying in Kerala. It's an older style facility, set behind the Abad Plaza Hotel. I was only there briefly for an overnight stay, but found the staff spoke good English & were welcoming & efficient. My room was very clean & comfortable & my wake-up reminder calls came through as organised. As a bonus, there were freshly growing indoor plants in the bedroom & bathroom! Because I was checking out very early next morning for my flight, they even had a fresh, tasty 'take-away' breakfast packed for me. It's about 25km from the airport, so make allowances for this when negotiating traffic to catch flights. It's handy to tourist areas like Jew Town, Fort Kochi attractions & excellent shopping malls eg Lulu Mall. I would definitely stay here again.

Hornbill camp provides a fantastic ”glamping” experience on the banks of the Periyar river. The setting is truly stunning and makes up for some of the shortcomings of the resort. The food is average by South Indian resort standards, but at least the tea and coffee were very good. There is basically no WiFi (or very very slow) and no alcohol is served here due to local laws. The tents are a highlight though, with comfortable beds, (good) aircon and a fan, and a decent bathroom. The staff are very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. Overall Hornbill provides a good base from where to explore the surrounding areas and attractions.
