We booked this hotel as a treat for a special wedding anniversary ( which was not even mentioned/ recognised by the team at all.) . Though a pre arrival email did add in a ‘ romantic dinner’ ( no explanation why ) that we didn’t request for 100 euros ! Em… no thank you ! I travel extensively and stay in many 4/ 5 star hotels . Sadly DP did not deliver ! The most alarming thing is that I emailed my feedback directly to the hotel on the day of our departure and still have not received a response. That says to me ‘ we really don’t care ‘ …. The good… stunning building / good room ( tho small bathroom ) and some nice customer service moments, housekeeping lady was fab and front of house staff were mainly helpful and pleasant The bad… breakfast on our first day , we were ignored for 3/4 minutes, had to ask for our table to be laid . There was just one waiter . Uncleared tables , no scrambled eggs . Had to ask for more . If you wanted ‘ additional ‘ breakfast items like poached eggs / omelette this was an extra charge . A bit ridiculous when the only offer of hot food was bacon and scrambled eggs which were hard / cold or none existent !,, !! This is suppose to be 5 star…. Well it was THE worst breakfast offering/ experience I have experienced . The were no tea/ coffee facilities in the room . There no atmosphere in “ the bar “ and definitely not somewhere I would want to have dinner … actually I didn’t see anyone in bar / restaurant apart from breakfast time. I wish you could have done much better DP …you definitely under delivered in terms of our customer experience and your lack of response says it all . We loved Florence and will definitely return to the city but will not be returning to Dimora Palanca or recommending it .

The Westin Excelsior, Florence

The hotel is located on the banks of the Arno River. The main entrance of the hotel is directly opposite the French consulate. There is a small square in front of the hotel. You can temporarily park your car temporarily and open small markets on weekends. Five minutes walk along the river bank is Uffizi Gallery, Old Bridge! The window opened in the room is directly opposite the Baihua Cathedral, Giotto's Bell Tower, and the church can be opened to the full view of the church. The left hand old bridge and the right hand Holy Trinity Bridge, the view is excellent! The bedding is comfortable, the room area is relatively large in Italy, classical and luxurious. The only dissatisfaction was that the booking fee was clearly the money for the river view room, but the front desk said that the reservation was only for a superior room. But polite and old-fashioned at the same time, because I emphasized that if it was n’t for the river view room, there would be no meaning to live here. The front desk said that I was sorry the room was full, and I could upgrade to the river view room on the balcony of the administrative floor if I added 200 euros. After expressing dissatisfaction, I asked to wait at the front desk for a while, but also forced them to check the room again, and finally got this river-view room without replenishment! I don't know if this is the case, it is Ctrip or the hotel routine.

I am not writing this type of reviews often, but unfortunately this time I have to in order to reflect the reality about this hotel. Prior to this hotel we stayed at another hotel in Rome also 4-star that we really enjoyed (price level and distance from city center was similar). Firstly, I would like to point out that this hotel, even though it has 4 stars, cannot be considered to be a European-level 4-star hotel at all, at maximum a refurbished 3-star hotel. Given the price and its location, I would like to tell you straight, it is quite expensive for what you get, especially given the further circumstances described below. Secondly, I have not read many negative reviews regarding the noise level, but would like to shed some light on that. Even though we asked for a quiet room, we got the room facing the hotel parking and front road. I cannot say that there was a lot of noise from the road, but you could definitely hear cars from the road. But the biggest problem is the noise insultaion, or more precisely its complete absence. We could hear our neighbours talking in the other room like they were in our room. Our neighbours were awake until late night and we could hear them receiving messages while chatting on the phone and it seemed like the phone was vibrating each time near your ear. There was also noise from outside and other neighbours (it was partially not clear where it was coming from), so overall an awful experience also given the fact that each room has roller blinds and some people are using them at night and each time you can hear the mechanism working (it is quite loud). When people flush in other rooms, it sounds like it starts raining heavily. To sum up, insulation is really bad. Thirdly, the room was furbished at the level of refurbished 3-star hotel, the old hairdriers from the 20th century, only one card key, thus you cannot leave the AC on when you leave the room. Room was not ventilated at all once we arrived, so it was very hot to sleep and smell was not very pleasant. Breakfast at the level of 3-star hotel maximum and they do not let people finish their breakfast telling at 9:55am that you have to leave in 5 minutes since the breakfast time ends at 10am. As a cherry on the tart, when we were leaving we were told that the water in the room was not complimentary when we arrived, even though we did not found anywhere information with pricing of water in the room. When I asked where we could find price list for water in the room, as I belive it should be clearly placed in a visible spot, the person at reception firstly insulted us in Italian (not knowing that we speak Italian) and then just answered arrogantly ”it is in the room”, showing that he does not want to speak with us. Unbelievable and unacceptable behaviour from staff, you are paying them for being treated in such a manner... Overall, I understand that Florence is an expensive and crowded city, but in this instance when we unfortunately had only extremely negativ

We booked this hotel on Expedia with the option of pay at property. We emailed the hotel after booking to let them know we wouldn’t be arriving until about 9pm (their service desk is not open 24/7.) It took a couple of weeks to get a response but we were advised we would be given a code to let ourselves in to the building. We emailed again a couple of days before our arrival to remind the staff, we got a prompt response with full details, with entry code and room number. The staff also sent a separate email with a map attached so we would know how to get there from the train station. Our room was larger than expected, nice and clean with bottled water in the fridge. There is a common room where breakfast is served each morning. We did not pay for breakfast, but it was included anyway by the staff which is very thoughtful of them. There was croissants, pastries, cereals, yoghurts and juice. The hotel also has a little outdoor terrace with tables and chairs. We stayed from Monday 19th to Saturday 24th of August in room 6. Unfortunately my partner came ill very early Wednesday morning, he spent Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in bed all day. When I saw Catalina on Thursday in the common room, she asked how I was. I told her I was fine but my boyfriend was ill, I asked if it would be possible to have the bathroom cleaned and some fresh towels. She came to our room with a cleaner (after I had finished breakfast) and did a thorough job cleaning the room, even putting fresh bottled water in the fridge. She said she would have a look in her bag to see if she had any suitable medication for him, she didn’t, but then recommended a pharmacy for me to visit. She cleaned the room again on Friday, it was nice having the reassurance of a clean room as I didn’t want to get ill either. When Catalina did see my partner, she seemed genuinely concerned and asked him how he was. Checkout time is 10am. We were still eating our breakfast at this time. Catalina could see I was hurrying to eat it, she told me not to rush and ‘you’re on holiday’, this was really kind of her as in the hotel we are currently staying in, we were still eating at 11am one day and the staff asked us to leave (even though she was still clearing up and we would have only been 5 minutes more) There are some negative points: •The WiFi was poor, it was useless connecting to it, so I used my phones data instead. •The air con in the room was temperamental, it kept switching off and you couldn’t really feel the cold air unless you stood in front of it. •This isn’t the hotels fault at all, but is something to consider anyway. There is building work going on outside, from around 8am and carrying on gone 7pm. Even with ear plugs in, you could still hear the drilling and banging. We paid £388.39 for our stay which was reasonable. There is a little shop, Carrefour Express, just down the street. It is similar to a Tesco Express and sells household goods, toiletries, food and drink. We popped in every da

Hotel in excellent location, staff at the heart of the reception and available, good breakfast buffet. As for cleaning ”women are bad and shocking”. I stayed in room 214, well I disconsequently!!! Room very noisy , and especially too hot and badly, air conditioning doesn't work and despite having I turn off the thermophones, you didn't breathe!! Great problems with the ants ,a night spent in white to crack everywhere ”You can notice ants cracked on the walls by previous guests” horrible!! The bathroom:water cycling and badly put, windowless bathroom and air conditioner, absurd!!! The small shower with so much folding glass ”robs extra space”!!! Search better, you find at the same price if not less

Stunning hotel, our room was elegant and classy, very specious. Breakfast was one of the best I’ve had-lots of choice: fruit, cereals, cheese, cold meats, cakes, breads, pastries, salads and then you can choose a hot breakfast also-I had the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon, French toast and pancakes-all yummy!! Staff so helpful and kind, really couldn’t have asked for a better hotel. Unfortunately we had to cut our holiday short due to the coronavirus but we will be returning! The hotel is about a 10 min walk to the main bits of Florence. Would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is very good, the interior is very new, and the decoration is very stylish, all of which are leather furniture. The service is also very good. It's a little farther to the train station, it takes 15 minutes, but it's safer to stay away from the train station. . .

Thumbs up! Push the hotel. From parking to nearby supermarkets, there is also a hotel with a great experience. The family has five people free to travel for 26 days, two bedrooms are only 600, a hotel with high cost performance. Ctrip booked two people to stay, the actual day overcharged adults 10 euros a night, can understand. The hotel is 1.5 km from the Baihua Cathedral. From the parking garage, it is a large iron gate, safe. There is a kitchen in the room, Carrefour is within 5 minutes, and you can cook for yourself.
