Hotels Near Cửa Hàng Tạp Hóa Bà Lưu in Hanoi

Este hotel está muy cerca del barrio de las embajadas, mucho más tranquilo que el casco antiguo. Se ve bastante nuevo y por tanto reservamos directamente con el establecimiento a través de email (enero 2023) una suite especial del piso 9º (planta noble hasta donde llega el ascensor). Un dormitorio amplio con cama grande (bien de colchón y sábanas), armarios, perchas, ventanales a la ciudad, mesillas, a.a. y tv satélite. Al lado, una sala de estar amplia con muebles, un sofá no muy grande (en las fotos se veían 2 sofás), otro a.a. y otra tv también satélite, un espacio de cocina con frigorífico grande (agua de cortesía) y precio normales. Un buen baño, moderno, amplio, con encimera y amenities, muy buenas toallas y ducha grande con mampara, presión de agua normal y ventana exterior. Bien de limpieza (diaria) y buen wifi. Recepción y zonas comunes suficientes. (2 ascensores y piscina interior). Personal amable. Check-in a las 12 (igual que el check-out). Al principio querían darnos un ático del piso 11, pero nos negamos porque son más pequeños y el ascensor no llega a ese piso. La zona de desayunos es muy pequeña (solo 3 mesas) y tuvimos que desayunar en una de las mesas de recepción (mesas redondas muy pequeñas, pero al menos separados del resto por el tema COVID). Un bufet no muy variado (huevos/tortillas a petición) y no muy bien presentado, además de repetitivo (fruta escasa y solo pan de molde). Si algo se terminaba, había que pedirlo a la camarera, aunque no tardaba mucho en reponerlo. La calle Doi Can es algo estrecha y con tráfico intenso, llena de restaurantes y tiendas, pero el hotel se retranquea de forma que los únicos ruidos que llegan al piso 9º son los ladridos (conitnuos y muy molestos) de los perros de las cercanías. Por otro lado, en esa misma calle tiene parada el bus nº 9, que por 7.000 dongs (unos 30 céntimos de euro) te lleva directo al lago Hoan Kiem en pleno centro (y vuelve por el mismo camino) en unos 20 minutos. El hotel está a minuitos caminando del complejo del mausoleo de Ho Chi Minh, Pagoda del Pilar Único, Museo de Historia Militar, Ciudad Imperial, Palacio Presidencial y Templo de la Literatura. Transfer al aeropuerto por unos 12€. En resumen: un buen apartamento en una buena zona tranquila (mejor que en el caso antiguo), por un precio ajustado para la calidad ofertada (1.100.000 dongs por noche con desayuno, es decir, unos 43€), si bien los desayunos pueden mejorar bastante.

Hanoi's public transportation system is very good. There is a bus stop right outside this place, which can go to most places in Hanoi. There are local buffets, parks, bigc, etc. around, which is very convenient. The room is average, not bad, but the water has a smell, probably because the pool has not been cleaned. I have reminded the manager to deal with it. The price is cheap.

Very nice boutique hotel in the middle of the Old quarter near shops and restaurants. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They really go out of their way to help you as needed. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. Great air conditioning. Breakfast was very good and a lot of choices. It is buffet style and you can also order different foods like Pho, banana pancake, Vietnamese egg rolls and so much more.

I stay at this hotel in May with Michael who I have stay with before in Hanoi expressive in the old quarters. So I was glad to be back with Michael again after few years! He is so good with me email him to say I was coming again and had answer back over nite. This hotel excellent value for your money and their service is above anything else I have experienced in my travels! Whatever you need Michael will arrange for you whether taxi from airport luxury bus to Sapa or a trip to Halong Bay he will organise. Hotel Calido is situated in beautiful little street in Hanoi’s Old Quarter. You can walk to tourist attractions such as St. Joseph’s Cathedral and a myriad of lovely restaurants and coffee shops very quickly. We were also collected for a day-trip to Halong Bay on our final day there! The young staff at reception are courteous, welcoming and helpful. They literally did everything they could to help us. The only thing that could be slightly improved is the breakfast. We stayed in five different hotels in Vietnam, and all of the other breakfasts were more generous and with more variety. Another couple of tables squeezed into the dining area or the outside veranda would also making sitting down to eat a little easier. Other than that, we were very happy.

I stayed two nights there in two different rooms. One overlooking the street and one with windows but with no views. Both were good and quiet. The bed was super comfy, very nice bed linen, great bathroom with powerful shower. Good breakfast, very friendly staff.

We had a very enjoyable stay at La Sinfonia del Rey. The location was superb next to the Hoan Kiem lake right in the middle of the Old Quarter. All of the staff were extremely friendly and special mention to Rose who greeted us and remembered our names throughout our stay, and to give us recommendations on where to eat while we were in Hanoi. We also wanted to thank the manager who checked us in and had more food recommendations and for the lady who checked us out that gave our son a departing gift. Thank you for having us!

Nice and new. Clean. Great service from reception and bell boys. Breakfast was good. Used the spa services and it was fine but the massueses were quite rude with their comments and said inappropriate things to my partner in front of me, quite unprofessional. It's their job to provide a service and nothing more. The wait staff in the restaurant serving breakfast were efficient but a little unprofessional as when it hit 10am (when breakfast stopped) they were celebrating amongst themselves. I can understand Vietnamese and perhaps they thought I couldn't understand. I found this to be quite unprofessional, maybe my expectation that they should do their job quietly and efficiently was too much. They also moved me to another table for their convenience as the table I chose to sit at would have been more work for them to clean. I asked why they moved me, when I came back from getting my food, and the reply was that they wanted me to enjoy the view out of the window. This was a blatant lie as my original seat had a better view and was already by the window, I could only conclude that me sitting at a four person table instead of a two person table was inconvenient for them, even though breakfast was about to end and that there was only a few people there finishing their breakfast. I also found that the cleaning staff were just chatting about their daily lives in the elevator in front of me and on corridors. Is it me or should the staff be quiet, intrusive and wait for no guests to be around to gossip and talk? Aside from these aspects of the staff, everything else was good, the food, friendliness, location and cleanliness was on point. Lastly, as the hotel is new, there's still some renovation work going on but it doesn't disturb you from a good night's sleep.

I and some friends stayed here few years ago and we come back this year as we love this hotel a lot. Everyone works for this hotel is very helpful and hospitality. They supported us a lot during the time we stayed here with them. Hotel is clean and we love everything and of course also the breakfast. We will definitely come back and also introduce to more of our friends. Thanks again for making my trip !

We had a pleasant stay overall but I don’t think we will be returning again for the following reasons: small room size (for the price point they charge), toilet flush had to be fixed, drainage in the shower didn’t work properly, quality of pillows were just average, the check-in experience was hectic like at the airport (people everywhere), the service at the swimming pool and Le club was rather slow and not inspiring. This property markets itself as one of the most historical hotels in Vietnam which is true but when it comes to hospitality I’m afraid there is still a lot of room for improvement.
