On the night of the Mid-Autumn Festival, thanks to Ctrip.com, I stayed at one of the best hotels in Heilongjiang at a reasonable price. I was still very satisfied. The surrounding environment of the hotel is very good. Across the road from the north gate is the Songhua River Cruise Terminal, and next door is the Swan Castle Crossing Cableway Station. The downside is that the hotel is old and the carpets are dirty. There was a caterpillar popping up on the first floor where I lived. It's so close to the river and it's humid.

The location is excellent. It is on Central Street near the Songhua River Flood Control Memorial Tower. Nearby is the famous Lucia Russian Restaurant. The overall appearance of the hotel, lobby, and corridors all look good. However, the double bed room we booked is smaller and feels a bit unwieldy. Larger suitcases are not easy to spread out, and the bathroom is particularly difficult. If there is water leakage, after closing the bathroom door and taking a shower, there will still be a lot of water in the corridor outside the bathroom, making it easy to slip. The hotel staff are very friendly. Traveling with friends, we all felt that this hotel was a good value for money.

I stayed for two nights and will stay here again next time I come to Harbin. It is close to the Central Street and Hongzhuan Street Morning Market subway stations, within walking distance, and the transportation is convenient. Location was perfect 👍🏻 we are right by 東正大街 and only 8 minutes drive away from Harbin Railway station. The room was pretty warm and clean I would have give it a 8 out of 10 until I turned on the washroom ventilation overnight, it started smell terrible in the morning … Besides that everything is ok, you just have to deal with all smoking rooms

This hotel is ideally located in the centre of the city, near to all the main shops and restaurants. You can also walk to St Sophia's cathedral. This place has a lot of charm and character! TV didn't seem to have any movies or anything beyond the regular channels but it was nice and comfortable. The set breakfast was ample and tasted good - it looks as if they have abandoned the buffet style. Staff cannot speak much if any English but I can speak enough Chinese and they were friendly. Overall it is clean and worth it for the price.

Location is perfect, literally meters from the main street. that's pretty much what and all you are paying for. We were in the basic room so expectations were low. I would say it satisfy the basic needs in terms of space and amenities. I mean is a decent place to sleep for the location. However, the room is really small, a bit cold, old and pretty much falling apart here and there. Bed was good, comfortable and soft. Rooms are not soundproof so expect to hear everything going around. However, we were lucky to not have many guests around. Wifi was horrible and slow. Reception was great and the staff at the entrance has been friendly and available with any requests. For the low score to service it is meant to the cleaning. Room was still dirty on the angles when we arrived. Soups were never refilled in the bathroom (not even the hand ones) and we had to ask everytime to get a refill. Feels like cleaning lady entered, put the cover on the bed back in order and left without caring much on whatever was needed to be refilled or cleaned in the room. Barely touching the bottom of the job. Anyway back again, low expectations, decent room, great location. Satisfy the basic requirements and if you get it for a low price might be worth it.

The room appears much smaller than on the website but is adequate for solo travelling. Although water bottles was replaced daily, dirty tea cups were never removed or washed during my 4 day stay and I had to rinse them in the bathroom. The trash can was emptied every day but they do not make your bed. The shower head was broken and difficult to handle and the mattress topper was too big for the bed and kept slipping off. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was difficult in the sense that the hotel is situated in a very busy main road, with one way direction and few in between passes, meaning taxis must first drive quite far past the hotel before making a u-turn to turn back to drop you. The downside of using Didi's or taxi's are the rude and impatient drivers. They charged extra high fares during Christmas. We were often gridlocked in traffic, ending up walking back 2-4km to the hotel. Overall I was disappointed in the city itself. Many buildings were rundown and neglected with broken windos and peeled paint, that reminded me of *********************. Streets were very dirty and a nearby school did not make traffic congestion any easier when commuting forth and back to the hotel. Rumours that Christmas is not so busy and a better time to be visiting Harbin, is not true. The crowds spoiled the experience at Saint Sophia Church, especially the influencers who dressed up in ridiculous outfits posing in freezing temperatures at the church staircases and corners, spoiling any photography opportunities. Stalls and shops around the Church were very expensive. I visited a few other churches like St Aleksyev and Jile Temple which was far worth the effort. The highlight of my trip was Volga Manor, Baroque Street and the Songhua Railroad Bridge. Sun Island snow sculptures were very enjoyable, easy to navigate and not congested with people. Plenty of space to walk through the park, play in the snow and take the cable car over the river. The ques are not long from the Sun Island side, but crossing over to Harbin's side, the ques were very long to get a cable car. Danny's Beer in the Baroques Street area is a must visit and offered welcoming, warm and delicious food and hospitality. It's a 4,7km hike from the Songhua River bridge and offered good food at very reasonable prices. I did not visit the Ice sculpture park or light shows because of the three hour waiting cues, too many people and slippery conditions. The Tiger park was a so-so experience and mostly annoying due to people teasing the tigers with meat *****s they cannot reach; all for the sake of a photo opportunity. If you are an animal lover, rather skip the tiger Park. Lastly, a big plus was the public toilets near the Songhua River that were impressively clean.

I was a bit hesitant to stay here after reading all the recent negative reviews, but we had an amazing stay and absolutely nothing to complain about! Room was clean and very comfortable, the service was great, location couldn’t be better. The room temperature was perfect, shower could get very hot, and even when we showed up to breakfast ten minuted before end they would still refill the different dishes. 100% recommend

Good location (15 minutes walks to Temple of Heaven). The included breakfast was quite good, especially the yoghurt. The accessories given in the room were very cute. The facilities are new and well-maintained. Overall very good experience staying there.
