Old school hotel design ,Same usual place for our monthly trip to JB .. nice and comfy. Strong aircon this time round at room.

Value for money. Booked the last minute and still had slots, and gotten a high floor room. However, there was a power outage at midnight but luckily it was fixed within 15 minutes. The doorbell seemed faulty too as it rang twice for no reason.

I had a delightful stay at this hotel. The room was clean and cozy, and the amenities were top-notch. It was the perfect blend of comfort and convenience. Highly recommend!😍🥰

Imagine waking up and being greeted by the soft glow of the sunrise spilling through your windows - that’s what I experienced each morning. The bedding was plush, making it the perfect haven for lounging after a day of exploration. Now let’s talk about location—KSL Hotel is poised perfectly for both frenetic activity and tranquil exploration. A stone's throw away, KSL City Mall was my go-to for picking up local souvenirs, sampling tantalizing street food, and snapping countless selfies in the vibrant atmosphere. I couldn’t resist indulging in the aromatic local dishes and treating myself to some window shopping; all within easy reach! One noteworthy experience was my visit to the hotel’s swimming pool complex. The lush surroundings were inviting, and I spent hours sunbathing and sipping on a float in the lazy river. I made delightful conversation with fellow travelers while soaking up the sun, which eased the lonely times of solo travel. It's nice to know that in shared spaces, strangers can quickly turn into friends. The on-site dining options were simply amazing, with menus that fusion flavors of local and international cuisine. I particularly enjoyed dinner at the buffet, where surprises were tasted with every bite. Pro tip: don’t miss out on dessert; the durian mousse is a singular experience not to be overlooked! While my stay wasn't without minor hiccups - some Wi-Fi connectivity issues and a brief hiccup with room service - the quick responses from the attentive staff ensured any frustration was minimal. Overall, KSL Hotel in Johor is a gem for solo travelers looking for a delightful blend of luxury, local flavor, and accessibility. I walked away not just with memories of the beautiful sights around Johor, but with a heart full of appreciation for the warm hospitality I received. Dear Crystal Crown Management Team, First of all, I would like to thank you for the hospitality during this period. To begin with, I have a brother who is currently serving quarantine at Hotel Ramada, so I know exactly what are the two hotels offering and its differences. Nevertheless, my stay with Crystal Crown has been a decent one which I am grateful for. I will also be honest with you that there are quite number of areas which need to be improved, not only for the wellbeing of the next batch of guests, but also for the benefit of your staff members. Hence, I would like to provide some constructive suggestions. 1) Communications a) Clarity on the rules of food / items delivery. The RELA briefed us on the arrival day, but it was unclear as we were seated outdoor. A suggestion is to include pictures in your document. See the attached photo for illustration. Besides pasting the rules at the entrance, you could also print it out in black and white for every room, together with the welcome letter. I believe that once the rules are spelled out clearly, the guests will manage their expectations accordingly. b) Distribute the 14 days necessities (e.g. mineral waters, trash bag, toiletries) at one shot. This is also a good practice of Hotel Ramada. Not only the guests can ration the items based on their needs, it also saves your hotel staff the trouble of attending to the needs of the guests at all time. c) Discontinue the whatsapp group. I understand the intention of setting up the group is for emergency purpose. But we all clearly know that this is not the case. Unfortunately, the chat group becomes a platform of all sorts of stuff: from requesting the daily necessities, clarifying the same delivery rules, asking the staff to pick up and send food / items, to spamming the group of 198 people with complaints and feud, or even turning the group into personal chat room. I believe once point a) & b) are sorted out, there is less need to use the whatsapp group as the main channel of communication. We can always use the phone in our room to call the front desk for additional requests or attend to emergency matters. Respecting the guests’ privacy is very much appreciated. 2) Dietary Preferences a) Make the effort to collect guests’ dietary needs and be committed to attend to it. This is a basic etiquette and fundamentals of the hospitality industries. Peanut and seafood allergies can be severe and deadly. The health of people with medical conditions (e.g. diabetes) could be affected. Not to mention the vulnerable such as the elderly, young children and pregnant women. We are human after all, hence the importance of mutual respect – treat the guests the way you want to be treated. b) Look after the well-being of the vegetarians. I would like to speak up for the vegetarians, especially those who practise strict vegetarianism. They cannot to take onions, garlic, chives, green onions and leeks, as it cause anger and desi

Love the people at the front desk, they are always so happy and friendly. Check-in took a bit longer than usual but the staff were very apologetic. I stayed in the Urban room at level 12 facing the highway and river. To my surprise it was rather quiet I can’t really hear the traffic. Morning breakfast at level 6 was pretty crowded. The next morning I just went down earlier and it was great. The girls at breakfast were always happy to welcome us… keep it up 👍

I will always stay in this hotel whenever travelling to Johore Bahru. The room rate is quite economical and no changes for the past few years. The room facility has improved even the room rate remain unchanged. i have discovered that the hotel room already been put a refrigerator and the bathroom also has a glass to segregate the shower area when I stay there recently. As for hotel exterior, they have installed a mini fountain to beautify the area. Overall, satisfy to stay at this hotel.

The stay was really comfortable and it is easy to get around with Grab. However, the walk to Aeon Tebrau might be a little challenging in the evening due to the high traffic flow. The staff are really friendly and they even whatsapp me to check with me constantly on my check-in time :) Overall, a great stay!

I really nice spacious room, we stayed in 307, which is a one-bed room apartment, please note there are smaller rooms. this is really good if you are staying for a few days, large living room with an induction cooker, toaster, microwave, and fridge. They also included plates and bowls. for cooking equipment and glassware, you will need to contact housekeeping, i stayed only 2 nights so i didn't bother. one big pet peeve was that the dish provided was too big for the microwave, so please heat up your food in the containers before plating them. Both the microwave and fridge worked well, it made ice in around 2 to 3 hours. the shower was great, with constant temperature and good water pressure. the bedroom lacked a TV only the TV was in the living room, so that was a bummer, the room was also a bit noisy as i think there is a family of birds living in the air-con compressor so if you are a light sleeper, you want to give this a miss. The road outside can also get noisy at all hours. The nightlife is interesting, with quite a few bars and restaurants, and lots of motorized scooter rental stores, this does have quite a big issue with me, with alot of teens and kids zooming up and down the harbor at night, it does get dangerous for families with smaller kids. The selling point of this place is its proximity to Legoland, unfortunately, it is a tad hard to get a Grabcar (a rideshare service like Uber) because at the moment the area is not as busy as it was pre-covid. i see families waiting 30mins to an hour to get a car. If you drive, there is an underground carpark (complimentary). The most disappointing was the breakfast, not enough food, and they were unable to cope with the number of people. they struggled to fill coffee pots, juice dispensers, cut fruits, and bread. once something came out, it was gone in minutes. Overall, I would recommend this place for families, just skip the breakfast and make something in the room.

Booked the hotel with club access at attractive rates. However, kinda disappointed that the club access besides having a nice chill out room has no one manning the room even during the stated timing between 3pm to 7pm. And that essentially means zero refreshment or any snacks. Rooms under club access are big and comes with good room amenities like powered bidet and showering with body jets. Location is abit far from JB bit the lower price justify it. For those people that are superstitious, u might want to take note to inform the hotel not to give u rooms with facings that face the chinese graveyard.
